  1. In a few days, it should just be hot again. The best thing to do is make the most of it and keep cool where you can. It’s not always easy though, and I really feel for anyone living in brick houses that trap the heat.
  2. A loan signing suits this position well, so I’m pleased with the move. We still need more strength and quality in central midfield. Hopefully, the next signing will be a wingback or someone to take over from David McGoldrick.
  3. Definitely a red card. Jatta didn’t help himself with his reaction afterwards, but the Dons players were provoking him, and sadly, he gave them exactly the response they wanted. I wouldn’t be surprised if his suspension gets extended because he struggled to leave the field peacefully.
  4. George Abbott was outstanding and deserved the opening goal. It's a shame how quickly things changed in the second half, but Abbott was excellent.
  5. I never felt that George Abbott wouldn't want to extend his stay. It was clear how much he's enjoying it, and why would Tottenham remove him from this environment? If we weren't in the running for automatics and December had us drop off like it nearly appeared, then maybe, but not like this.
  6. I think Gillingham will be aiming for mid-table now. I can't see them doing much better, and avoiding falling further down the table will be more important.
  7. I am surprised there's been nothing about Stuart Maynard being voted Manager of the Month, though that tends to be cursed. I wish David McGoldrick all the best with being named League Two's Player of the Month.
  8. Good luck to Etete at Bolton. It's always good to see an ex-Notts lad do well, especially a youth player, because not many manage to get that far.
  9. No way someone called Alex Palmer played for Notts in 2019. I don't remember him at all! That period has been scrubbed from my mind though.
  10. I can't see it winning any architecture awards with that design. It looks like a child's drawing at the top. What are Wrexham thinking with that?
  11. X says the media could not be played, probably due to them wanting more people to join it, which I refuse outright.
  12. Mike Williamson had the chance of a dream move, not once but twice. If he was a good manager at this level, he should have turned Carlisle United's fortunes around. He should spend more time establishing himself in the National League and perhaps find a club where he can compete at the right end of the table. His EFL career looks poor, with MK Dons failing to reach their potential despite backing Williamson and now failing to turn Carlisle's fortunes around.
  13. The way Carlisle United have been signing players, I thought Aidan Stone might join Cedwyn Scott up north with them, despite wanting to be closer to his family. I wish Stone all the best. I don't mind him and always felt he acted professionally. No fuss, just tried to impress, and when out of favour, he kept trying. That has to be respected because most would cause trouble or complain.
  14. It's a good introduction. I think if you had posted this in many other places, you would have been laughed at. But I appreciate your post for what it is. It is a good way to introduce yourself. Now, spill some more gossip, please? I am joking.
  15. I thought at first this was about Jordan Richards, Pedro's lad, confusing the two. It's sad to see this happen. I hope he recovers from his coma.
  16. Hello, @Charlie_ncfc. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. It's nice to see you have joined us.
  17. Hello and welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. I am pleased to see another new member recently join the community. It would be great to see you join in @piedestrian.
  18. Hello, welcome to PON @John Wardle. How long have you supported Notts?
  19. Hello, @Michael Bramley. I have seen your name on here a few times over the past few days. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham.
  20. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @TFP. Its not a bad way to introduce yourself.
  21. First five? That is more challenging than it seems. I would start by naming the captain, Matt Palmer. Then I would choose Alex Bass. Jodi Jones, David McGoldrick, and lastly Conor Grant.
  22. Notts got themselves a real gem here. Can’t wait to see him back in action more doing what he does best. I think he's making the most of his career and opportunity at Notts, such a good signing in the summer.
  23. Solid performance against a struggling Accrington team that never really looked to get themselves sorted throughout the game. George Abbott's goal was a thing of beauty. I thought David McGoldrick was trying to get the best goal of the game, with his narrowly missed free kick and the two excellent goals he scored. Still, delighted to see the team win 3-0. It's something at this stage of the season that only helps with form, especially with the introduction of new signings. It allows them to settle in a bit easier, with a little less pressure, and even better, gives a sense of winning.
  24. I wonder who fans feel deserves to be named the new vice-captain now that Dan Crowley has left for the gloriously woeful MK Franchise? I propose David McGoldrick. I think he has led us through his experience and been much more of an influential player this season compared to last. We had a spell during this campaign where he alone changed the outcome of certain games, such as Swindon Town away earlier in the first part of 2024-25. What about you and why?
  25. Yeah, it has to be David McGoldrick. I thought he made much of what worked happen and led our team as someone who should be the vice-captain.
