  1. Jim’s header was fantastic, and his celebration even better. He might look a bit mad while celebrating, but it’s all out of pure passion!
  2. Teams that apply pressure and have a certain style of play can expose our defence’s weaknesses. Our defence isn’t perfect and some goals are unavoidable, but what we can defend is the character of our team members. They’re here for the right reasons, they care and want to succeed. So, when criticising them, be a bit more considerate as many will already be disparaging them on social media.
  3. Tricky situation regarding David's minor injury. It's hard to recover and be at par with quick schedules like these.
  4. I’ve taken my time to vote thoughtfully. It was challenging to pick just one person for each section, as I wished I could choose more than one. However, I’ve made my selections with careful consideration.
  5. Cardiff City 1-2 West Bromwich Albion Coventry City 1-1 Plymouth Argyle Bristol Rovers 0-1 Leyton Orient Oxford United 0-2 Bolton Wanderers Stevenage 0-0 Peterborough United Accrington Stanley 2-1 Swindon Town Gillingham 0-2 AFC Wimbledon Joker Morecambe 1-1 Newport County

  8. Hello, @magpiemad. Welcome to PON. I look forward to seeing your comments here.
  9. Wendy’s story truly touches the heart. As a fellow Notts County supporter, her journey from a casual fan to a dedicated follower is both admirable and inspiring. Her decision to use her love for the club as a springboard for charity work shows the wider impact football can have beyond the pitch. It’s individuals like Wendy who add a layer of social responsibility to the love of the game, enriching and warming the community. Her story is a testament to how passion for a football club can extend into making a positive difference in the world. It’s a beautiful reminder of the power of sport and community.
  10. Love the honest assessment of the team from Bostock. "Coming to this club has brought so much clarity and joy." Such words truly capture the unique spirit of Notts County.
  11. A win would be a huge weight off everyone’s shoulders and a winning streak would be well-timed over the Christmas period. Here’s hoping that Santa and the players deliver, because we shouldn’t be afraid of any team.
  12. The fans forum was excellent, very enjoyable to watch and it shows that we’re not just settling for the status quo. That’s a good thing, although I still think there could be improvements in the ticket office, club shop, and when contacting the club. Getting a response to an email seems almost impossible.
  13. Romello Nangle nearly mangles his foot after shooting himself short. Just imagine that headline!
  14. At first, I wasn’t sure if Luke Williams was talking about the players, but it soon became clear that it was an incident on Twitter. I don’t use the site, so I’m not sure, but I know what people can be like when there’s no moderation. Does anyone know exactly what happened or what was said? @Piethagoram
  15. The new bar is a clever idea, it should increase profits while making it easier to get served. Fans will make the short journey, even in the cold, just to get a pint, so it’s a win-win situation.
  16. Welcome to PON, @Max Roberts. It's good to be welcoming you.
  17. Welcome to PON, @Samuel Morris. It's good to be welcoming you.
  18. Welcome to PON, @Callumpie. It's good to be welcoming you.
  19. Welcome to PON, @Middlesex Magpie. It's good to be welcoming you.
  20. I noticed a new member in @Darryl Chapman, who I thought I would welcome. Hello, Darryl! It's good to be welcoming you to PON.
  21. @liampie It’s admirable how much respect Williams shows for the competition. Reinforces that underestimating AFC Wimbledon would be a mistake for Notts County.
  22. What really strikes me is Dan's raw passion for the game and his commitment to Notts. His talents on the pitch, combined with his strong morale and superb team spirit, reflect the sort of player that any team would treasure. It's clear that his success isn't merely due to individual brilliance, but also the result of a supportive atmosphere and fantastic team dynamics. It's great to witness his acknowledgement of the crucial role played by his teammates and the fans, emphasising the importance of collective effort in the game of football.
  23. I must say, I can't help but agree with McParland's remarks about Williams. The msn's got talent, no question about it. As for Burchnall... let's just say his tenure was a bit of a letdown, with the way he left the "project", thinking the grass was greener, wasn't it?
  24. The approach that our club exhibits in focusing not just on the big wins and celebrated moments, but also engaging in a genuine dialogue on the challenges and nuances faced is brilliant. It's this transparency that makes Notts County feel more like a family than just a club. With such dedication from the leadership, the future indeed looks promising.
  25. Williams hit the bullseye with his review. The team's two-faced display raises concern and the failure to keep up the momentum is worrisome. However, his vision seems to be in the right place and I have confidence that they'll recover. A well-rounded and honest input from the coach, indeed.
