  1. While some might see fixture congestion as a hurdle, Maynard appears to view it as an opportunity to solidify team dynamics and test the squad's depth. The return of David McGoldrick is a massive morale booster but balancing the squad’s health with the goal of point scoring will be crucial in the weeks ahead.
  2. I was impressed by Maynard's balanced view on the controversial goal situation. Instead of dwelling on it, moving forward with a focus on improvements and positives is a great lesson in resilience. It’s this kind of leadership that can make a real difference over the season. His mention of the team's performance deserving more points than they have is both a nod to the squad's efforts and a rallying cry for future matches. The anticipation for the tactical battle against Crewe is palpable, and Maynard’s confidence is reassuring. It will be interesting to see how the adaptability he praises plays out in this important clash.
  3. Lovely photography captivates me; I appreciate nature frozen in a timeless moment.
  4. Some people enjoy drama; I reckon it's only right to concentrate on topics open for debate and discussion. Without conversation, communication serves little purpose.
  5. Hello, @Mapperley Pie. Welcome to PON.
  6. Notts must excel in midfield; it's the key to winning, losing, or drawing. When our midfield is top-notch, we're unstoppable. While Stuart Maynard works on the defence, my focus is on the midfield needing improvement currently.
  7. I was hoping for someone more seasoned, but talent can be found at any age. I’m thrilled to see Jaden Warner play for Notts. His impressive debut suggests that Norwich made a good decision to loan him out for more experience. Imagine if he becomes a top player and joins a Premier League team - we could proudly say we played a part in his journey. That would be fantastic!
  8. From what I’ve seen, Jason Sandersaon is a promising young player. I’d like to see him given 15 minutes of playtime when the timing is right. I hope this will continue under Stuart Maynard. I believe he has a bright future if we can keep him or properly integrate him into the team.
  9. In the recent press conference, it seemed like some players might return sooner than expected, which wasn’t the impression given by Craig’s interview. I think they might still be unsure and are trying to boost our spirits. I wouldn’t pay too much attention to Lewis Macari, as he’s likely dealing with personal issues.
  10. Given the uncertainty of having a new coach and not knowing how the team will react, I’m hesitant to say that Barrow won’t enjoy their visit to Meadow Lane. I can see the match ending 1-0, but I’m not sure who will score. I fully expect Barrow to have a solid defence and make a strong impression with their counter-attacks.
  11. Maynard seems like a leader, not just a manager. He's got the charm and strategy to inspire this club. You can tell he's already building a rapport with the team, and honestly, a close-knit group is key in chasing success. Notts County has needed this sort of leadership, someone to instil both discipline and confidence. Here's to a strong start and stronger finish!
  12. The professionalism of our medical team really shines through in these updates. Knowing that each player’s progress is being closely monitored and managed provides such reassurance. Bajrami, Palmer, and the rest of the injured lads must be eager to get back in action. Let’s keep the morale high and support them through it. Their determination is the embodiment of the Notts County spirit!
  13. I believe Jim O’Brien could be a good assistant one day, but I’m chuffed with Paul Maynard’s appointment. I don’t think we’d ever hire someone like Nigel Clough, he doesn’t fit our club’s image and why would he leave Mansfield? The same goes for the Neil Warnock rumour. I think those who spread these rumours contribute to the negative comments that Stuart Maynard has received, thankfully most are positive and excited. We need to fully support him because we have a brilliant team.
  14. I agree, Stockport defended really well but their goalkeeper was the one who kept them in the game. If Notts had closed up and avoided some of the mistakes, the result could have been different. I think our form at this stage is the most important thing and avoiding defeat would be good. I fully expect the players to challenge Stockport County, with them attacking us in a similar way. It should be an entertaining game.
  15. The lead-up to Saturday’s game is fraught with tension, yet Jim's composure shines through. Handling such an interim period isn't a walk in the park. I'm particularly impressed with his plans for the game, focusing on us making an impact and really putting our stamp on the play. It’s this proactive attitude that we need to clinch those all-important points. His handover to Stuart Maynard is appreciated too.
  16. The performance is the key point from the game, we played well and it shows the players are heeding Luke Williams. We got the response we desired, a performance where we match up to the top of the league. I believe it augurs well for the work being put into training. Luke Williams has no cause for disappointment, I’m certain he’s pleased and proud. He’s seemed concerned, but I don’t think any of us need to be in retrospect. We’re in capable hands, it’s just a tough period.
  17. Hello there, @Robbie__64. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. The community is fantastic here, glad to see you joining in and being a part of it.
  18. Hello, @StanfordPie. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham.
  19. Do we lack genuine experience and quality in our defence? Someone like Connell Rawlinson, but quicker in their thinking, stronger in their decisions, and overall a very reliable centre back.
  20. There’s been too much emphasis on modernising the city, when the funds could have been utilised to enhance it in more effective ways. Now, the central library and underdeveloped areas will hold the city council accountable for not investing more prudently.
  21. This kind of penalty could ruin a club like theirs. I agree that action was necessary, but to further deduct points instead of targeting those responsible is appalling.
  22. I’m hoping the club has invested more effort into preparation. I still believe that a win could significantly improve our current form. We’ve been inconsistent away from home, we need to perform better, but we’re still in a favourable position regardless.
  23. I hope the club has prioritised this with the intention of generating additional revenue, as I think there might be better areas to invest in at the moment while we’re a League Two club.
  24. Increased focus, additional training, and unity in preparation are needed. Notts will be alright. Our first victory will significantly boost our performance, particularly if it occurs away from home.
  25. Definitely, Walsall weren't a great team. We've defeated stronger teams that put up more of a fight. Notts just surrendered without putting up much of a fight of their own.
