  1. I haven't long listened to the latest PONcast but the preview sounds spot on with what @Chris and @samwatto2008 mentioned. There's the need to start giving players game time, especially the likes of Kristian Dennis who can only come good with a fair run in the team. Bringing any player on for the last 15 minutes isn't enough for them to gave on the same wavelength as other players and I just feel Dennis might be a waste of money unless the club starts to work with him. I would give Dennis and Hemmings the nod. Save Stead for when the Bury legs get tired and whoever is performing the best out of Dennis and Hemmings should remain on the field.
  2. I am more than happy with the three points, over the performance. Winning pretty is great but there is a lot of satisfaction from winning ugly.
  3. Not the best performance, yes it ended goalless but finally some fight from the squad and Fitzsimons. I hope nobody is quite to say he isn't a worry or a problem however because he had moments. Good draw.
  4. I wouldn't know what to expect from Northampton, I am a little surprised to see them struggling but as I say I don't know much about the club. It would be a positive thing to get the first win but I don't see this from the away performances. Notts seems to be a different side away from Meadow Lane.
  5. Harry Kewell looked very animated during the game, he was noticeably shouting instructions to Ross Fitzsimons but his head seems in the clouds now. It was a good game, both teams played well but I left wondering how we didn't win it.
  6. Good interview by Stead, I am not sure he's right about closing down the opposition but I do agree it could be better.
  7. Harry Kewell needs to be more on his toes when shouting instructions, the interview is about what you can expect. I just hope he's given the players some advice which they can put into use.
  8. I am just hoping for the first league win, something has to get a positive response from the Notts players. We can't just keep buying a whole new squad until it works.
  9. The deadwood seems to have taken hold of Notts, I am unsure how Nolan can resolve this and I think his time is starting run out. I hope he knows how to combat it but that first win seems far off at the moment.
  10. It's a poor start to the season but things will improve, the squad's got a lot of work to do but it will turn around. Today was more promising, just weak defending cost the match.

I watched the rubbish new football programme on TV and yes, Oxford looked very poor but they scored two good goals against Luton and that is all it takes sometimes. The difference between sides in this division is not much.
  12. Its too close to call tonight, good luck to our magpies!
  13. 3 points tonight please PON!

Pretty decent record with him watching over the game, plus his card count seems sensible. I don't want to jinx it. Thanks Joe!
  15. I am losing track Liam! Good write up though, a lot better than the red rag.

We have to praise Super for his way of putting the Notts parts positively, so credit where it's due. Now Notts just need to work hard on tuesday.

I am in support of MK Dons myself. Teams nearby to us have big games, difficult games in fact. It just worries me about Sheff coming up.

Oh, its the referee from the Sheff Utd game! Great. Lets hope his partners in crime dont let us down also. Good job Joe.

I could not see you managing to sit out a quiet saturday without a notts game. I pray and hope for good officials! Thanks Joe.

Bajner I am looking to see more of but Santos and White can return, I would gamble further within the loan market. Apart from that I would say you are spot on Joe. Thanks

Graham Scott is not the worst official, we seem to do well Joe when he officiates our games.
  24. lambleypie commented on Chris's article in News
If we had a good ref, one of the assistance would let us down. Nice one Joe!
