  1. Lewis Macari has really settled into the squad, hasn't he? His comments about the intensity of Notts County's playing style are spot on. It's fast-paced and high pressure, but that's what makes it so exciting!
  2. Harrogate being fit-for-purpose is just one piece of the puzzle. Williams's efforts to instil unpredictability in Notts’s gameplay may just balance the scales. I’m waiting in anticipation to see how both these factors reconcile on the field!
  3. With Wrexham showing improvement, it would be encouraging to see us maintain a position close to theirs. This league may not offer many surprises, but any team can triumph on a good day. Just because Walsall is currently struggling doesn’t guarantee us a win. My hope is that we can net a few goals, boost our confidence, and carry that momentum into the upcoming matches.
  4. While I may not be as active as I once was, it doesn’t mean I value PON any less. I genuinely enjoy the site and the engagement it offers. It’s unfortunate when some lose their way, but this platform is meant for meaningful conversations and thoughtful posts that go beyond brief three to five-word replies.
  5. Addressing the team's defensive struggles is undoubtedly critical to their long term success. What stands out most to me is the holistic approach he's embracing here - the use of video analysis, specific drills mimicking match scenarios, and the constant reinforcement required to instil that defensive mindset. It shows a depth of understanding and a commitment to turning things around that is very encouraging.
  6. The performance was subpar, to say the least. We crafted some fantastic goals, but they were sadly overshadowed by our abysmal defending. It simply wasn't up to scratch, and I'm at a loss as to why we faltered so badly.
  7. Well done, everyone! I've cast my vote. Best of luck to all!
  8. Terry Venables, Rest in Peace. A naturally funny and good-natured person, who greatly enhanced football during his involvement.
  9. It's devastating when your own head coach admits we played like we were 'terrified to be on the pitch.' It’s a clear indicator of the work that needs to be done within the team. The second half certainly showed some spirit, but the damage had already been done. Williams' critique might seem harsh, but it's completely necessary for the boys to realise the urgency and step up their game.
  10. What a breath of fresh air Dan Crowley is! It's so refreshing to hear a player speak with such passion and enthusiasm about playing for Notts County. He's absolutely right, there's something special about playing for this club and it's clear he's loving every minute of it. Long may his success continue and let's hope he helps us climb the league table!
  11. I do hope our lads can pull it off today, but I must say I have me doubts. We haven't had much luck on the road recently, and Wimbledon are a tough nut to crack. Still, we've got some talented players and if we can get our act together, anything is possible. It's about time we started winning away from home, don't you think? Come on You Pies!
  12. Having moved from the KOP to the Pavis Stand a few seasons ago, I can see that there’s room for improvement in the latter. However, it’s reassuring to know that the club is cognisant of the areas that need attention. With the additional revenue, it’s crucial that we make smart investments off the pitch to facilitate progress on it. After all, a club’s success isn’t just about what happens during the 90 minutes, it’s also about the decisions made behind the scenes.
  13. As the team approach the half-time whistle against AFC Wimbledon, it would be good to secure a two-goal lead. They’re a formidable side, but our squad is robust and capable. We just need to tap into our potential and maintain consistency, particularly when playing away. To all the fans attending the match, I encourage you to share your post-match thoughts. Your insights are valuable, and rest assured, they will be read and appreciated.
  14. The fan forum has indeed played a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the club and its supporters. It’s a platform that fosters transparency and understanding, especially during challenging times. However, it’s equally important to maintain this dialogue during periods of success. After all, the bond between a club and its fans isn’t just for the tough times, it’s for the good times too. Since Alan Hardy’s departure, we’ve been fortunate to experience more highs than lows, but let’s not forget the value of communication in maintaining this positive momentum.
  15. Jodi Jones at Wembley! The lad from London, now shining in Notts County and facing England. Goes to show dreams do come true. Immensely proud of him.
  16. Jodi Jones' thoughts on the match against North Macedonia throws adequate light on the humility he carries into the game. The respect he has for all competitors speaks of his sportsmanship. Moreover, the support he finds in the staff and his praise for the fans underline his respect for teamwork.
  17. Goals of this calibre aren’t a weekly occurrence, so when they do happen, like the fantastic team goal by Gateshead, they’re certainly worthy of admiration.
  18. Notts are demonstrating excellent form at home, and remaining undefeated is certainly an achievement worth striving for. I’d even venture to say that the winning streak is something we can take pride in. Despite Forest Green’s current performance, they have the potential to turn things around at any moment. My hope is to see Notts continue to enhance their defence, as the results should follow - assuming we create solid opportunities on the offensive end.
  19. I don’t fault him for signing with a League One team, as he’ll be keen to maximise his career. The move to Port Vale is intriguing, and it leaves one curious about the amount they invested in his signing.
  20. Greetings @Morten Johansen! Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. We’re committed to providing you with an unforgettable experience. Enjoy your stay!
  21. Welcome @Benji! You’ve just stepped into the Pride of Nottingham, a place where history meets hospitality. We’re delighted to have you with us.
  22. Hello! @Ryan Raynor. We’re thrilled to have you at the Pride of Nottingham. We hope you enjoy your time here and make the most of everything we have to offer.
  23. It's indeed good to see such a youth-focused approach being taken at Notts. This focus on nurturing local talent imparts a message of belief and confidence to young players, which is likely to encourage them to strive harder on and off the pitch. The club's future definitely looks promising with all these young talents coming through.
  24. Connell Rawlinson often receives a significant amount of negative criticism, some of which is understandable, but some is not. This is why I avoid social media; fans are quick to cheer for a player one moment and then turn on them the instant a mistake is made. Defensively, Rawlinson could have performed better, as could other players. Aidan Stone shouldn’t have been beaten; it was a well-placed strike, but it seemed as though he waited for it to happen before reacting. Stone is by no means largely at fault; my point is that everyone could have performed better, yet only Rawlinson is criticised.
  25. Tranmere Rovers have had such a dismal start to the season, it’s difficult to envision how a new manager could bring about improvements. They should have been more patient. Even Nigel Adkins might struggle to effect a turnaround until they can offload some players.
