  1. The club feels like it should do. It’s always on the front of moving forward and trying to compete for promotion. We have had 4 very good years. Let’s hope our return to the EFL will see a 5th year added.
  2. There’s a lot to take from the statement released. It sounds like he wanted to leave and they tried their best to discourage it. It may be another potential falling out over wages and budget. He may be going elsewhere. Good luck to him.
  3. His move to Scotland didn’t work out. He suffered two injuries if I am right in thinking that. Suffering those setbacks will put other clubs off from taking a chance on him. Scunthorpe United may feel they’re the right team to help him back to playing.
  4. Good interview. Some of the comments weren’t all that different from the one Notts did when he first joined. The spin on him not caring about money has been caught on, but it shows the quality of PON when it was written here first.
  5. I think it’s a shambles and very disrespectful, but I understand the club’s decision to cancel it now that the team isn’t the same.
  6. No, I don’t. I do eye up an electric chair that I like the look of, but I know others will sit in it when I am not around and if it’s mine, nobody will. So, I don’t buy it.
  7. I will look into editing my profile and seeing what I can add to it.
  8. It’s just good to see who we have, when we should have them and what games we can start planning for. The rest doesn’t matter. I think the fixtures are unimportant to us to a degree that most will still make difficult games regardless of when they are.
  9. It will be a case of watch and see. A keeper can have a dry spell with a club and it’s the hardest position to lift yourself up from when you do concede goals. He sounds like he has the ability to do well; fingers crossed we will see it.
  10. The cup draw is fine. I don’t think those who are upset or moaning about it will be attending the game away. It’s just a thing every club has: fans who just find the negative in things.
  11. David McGoldrick gets my vote. I think his return will turn out to be a masterstroke and just the vibe the signing gives easily makes him my favourite signing so far.
  12. Many of the better shops have been replaced by poorer ones that are similar. Woolworths was an iconic store to shop in, Dixons could be a good place to spot a bargain. British Home Stores is another iconic store that has gone. Department stores are dying off; many good places have gone.
  13. I think a centre back and a left wing-back would complete the job. I do think there will be more signings, but I don’t want us to have a large squad just for the sake of it. We need to ensure we have cover and good depth, which I think we’re quite close to now.
  14. He seems to have been forgotten for sure. He’s made one cameo appearance and spent the rest of the time on the bench. If he were to feature in our future plans, I don’t understand how he would get a good amount of game time. It’s both a good and bad thing, and it’s down to Luke Williams to make it work out.
  15. I am glad you went out for a meal to celebrated your birthday, @Fan of Big Tone. Happy birthday to you.
  16. This is fantastic news! I’m thrilled to hear that Dan Crowley has joined our squad. He seems like the perfect addition to our team. His technical abilities and experience at Arsenal will definitely bring some great quality to our side.
  17. It's great to see Crowley embracing his individuality as a player. Far too often, young talents are saddled with huge expectations when compared to established stars. Can't wait to see him in action for Notts County!
  18. Signing and committing Kyle Cameron to a new deal is a boost for the club as they start to look for depth and further quality. Cameron is a good player, but he needs to be more focused at times and not get carried away when on the ball.
  19. It was a nice touch from Maddison. I didn’t remember that they had played together either. At first, I thought he was just being nice to Jodi because he was aware of his troubles.
  20. There should be plenty of candidates for the position. The job is quite standard in terms of what they do, but it is a demanding role that requires a lot of hands-on work and time. I trust the board to appoint a good CEO to continue from Jason Turner. His shoes may never be completely filled, but having someone who tries would help.
  21. He possesses fire and energy and can still compete with the best of them. He recognises that his role is that of a squad player and will receive game time when needed or when in form. He may not expect to play many games, but I hope he does make a fair few appearances because he still has good performances within him.
  22. Some players may take note and realise that money isn’t everything. I would prefer to enjoy doing a job I am paid to do rather than one I dislike. I am not suggesting that David McGoldrick disliked his time at Derby, but his decision to opt for less pay in exchange for more enjoyment is commendable.
  23. Jim always presents himself well. I appreciate everything he says, and while others may consider him past his prime, I do not. I believe he performed solidly last season, but not everyone values ageing players. I hope he enjoys playing in League Two and helps us achieve a top-end finish.
  24. Jodi Jones is an exceptional player who even looks impressive playing for Malta. I am delighted that he will be with us for the next two years.
  25. Good signing for Oxford; I do wonder if the club knew or reacted to them breaking the news as it was all very quick. It looks like Ruben was in Portugal, as I saw a video of him wishing us all the best. I repeat that and wish him the same!
