  1. You couldn’t make this up. Something has happened, and it reflects poorly on the club. They will struggle if they don’t replace Ferguson.
  2. Tomorrow, I will be sorting my garden if I can get it done before the storms. Today, I went to Notts and picked up a new shirt. I watched Stoke City play some very good football and then had fish and chips on the way home.
  3. It was a good exercise in that we created many of the problems ourselves. Yes, Stoke City played some great football, as you would expect from a Championship side, but defensively, without Aden Baldwin, we have no one with the focus to deal with quicker, more direct teams. Richard Brindley would be fine against League Two standard teams, but he does make rash decisions and commits himself when he shouldn’t. Kyle Cameron didn’t look good going forward; he gave the ball away very easily, and although he did some good covering and defensive work, he let the first half down quite a lot. It’s nothing to complain about, but it does show room for improvement. I don’t think Notts embarrassed themselves, but the second half’s team was much better.
  4. Welcome to PON @Paul Manterfield, you won't regret joining.
  5. @super_ram Just accept that it means a lot to both of them, it’s an honourable gesture and you can see how much it means. I would nod and tip my hat if I were wearing one.
  6. This is a very nice gesture by Stoke, to donate their half of the gate receipts to pay tribute to Jason Turner.
  7. I would agree, but I think Luke Williams may have other plans. It would be nice to have an idea of what the starting 11 might be, but he may not know himself at this stage. It should be a good match, I wonder if the club has plans to stream it? It would be great for those overseas and unable to attend.
  8. With such a wealth of experience and undoubtedly a wealth of footballing knowledge, it was such a shame to see such a figure leave Notts. I wish him the best of luck with Portsmouth and the promising young talent they have.
  9. Welcome @JackMagpie95 to PON, keep having your say on things.
  10. Hello, @nottsfan81. Welcome to PON. Keep jumping in with your opinion, we are eager to see what members think.
  11. Hello, @BigTom91. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. Please don't be a stranger.
  12. As @KingWilliams mentioned, the playoffs can be a risky gamble. Hoping Notts secures a place in the top three.
  13. Luke Williams seems to have a clear idea of his team's playing style and how he wants to maintain it while introducing some changes. This reflects his adaptability and understanding of the game dynamics.
  14. This early bird season ticket strategy was a clever move from the administration's side. A lot might not be able to avail of cheaper prices, but it definitely stirred the pot and built a lot of excitement around the upcoming season.
  15. No doubt Matty Palmer is one of the best midfielders Notts County has had in years. A true linchpin.
  16. Williams' handling of the pre-season preparations makes me even more excited for the upcoming season. It seems like he’s putting a solid thought process behind every action. I’m looking forward to seeing how the team plays under his leadership.
  17. Celebrities are divisive like many subjects, but their personal lives shouldn’t always be of interest to us, and the fact that people believe it to be is the issue. Those people reading gossip magazines and buying every written word—it’s crazy, but some do good. Some aren’t just in it for the fame. Yet I have zero interest in their lives, but the majority of people seem to care.
  18. I thought Andy Dallas would move to Chesterfield; he has settled in well there, and I am surprised that they haven’t already put in an offer for him. They have been spending money, wanting to get out of the National League, and Chesterfield would be a better fit than Gillingham.
  19. It’s great to see so many new and old faces getting involved just before the season starts. There’s a lot of potential, and I have enjoyed reading the site. The discussions and content are spot on. I hope more old faces return.
  20. Like everyone else, I use Chrome as it’s just there, and they know people will use it because it does the job so well. There’s no reason to switch when you know the user experience is good.
  21. Hello, @NottsCountyKev. Welcome to PON. You have made the right choice coming here to discuss Notts, the discussions are good here,
  22. I would view the move as a lifeline. In my eyes, he’s not a striker. However, I do wish him well.
  23. Hello, it's great to see you joining in and getting involved. Welcome to PON, @NottsLoyal.
  24. Hello, welcome to PON @rhodship66. It would be great to see you join in.
  25. The club feels like it should do. It’s always on the front of moving forward and trying to compete for promotion. We have had 4 very good years. Let’s hope our return to the EFL will see a 5th year added.
