  1. It’s great to see Notts sitting at the top of the league; we need to encourage the good in our play and lift the players more. The togetherness between fans and the club can make such a big difference. Long may it continue! WE ARE TOP!!
  2. The attendances do make a difference; it’s good money for the club, and very few yesterday were from Accrington itself. Very poor support if I am honest; they could have at least brought a few more hundred. Our drummer also now adds a good beat to the game, whereas the only noise I heard from Accrington’s fans was an odd drum noise every so often and not for long at all. Our supporters need to avoid being like that; I think Doncaster would have made more noise at Meadow Lane.
  3. Very kind words were expressed towards our style of play. I have found a lot of League Two fans to be very biased compared to the National League. I think Tranmere will improve; they looked far better than Grimsby Town or Accrington Stanley. It’s their defence that needs to work just a little harder. I wish them well, except for when they play us.
  4. This PON feature is a terrific initiative, capturing the emotions and connecting the fans in a unique way. Long may it continue!
  5. John Coleman mentioned in the clip above that he wants to take positives from the game, but he spends the majority of the time speaking fictional nonsense and complaining. His side deserved nothing from the game; they didn’t nullify Notts. If anything, Notts slowed their game down way too much and allowed them to come into it after our opening goal. I give Stanley credit for looking like a good side, but their finishing and play in the final third weren’t good at all. Coleman just comes across as a bit bitter; I thought the referee protected them far more than Notts. Their players constantly targeted Langstaff and Jones by taking them down with rash challenges. Their defender also threw himself into the boot of Jones; the ball was low and not at head height. It wasn’t dangerous play on his part, just madness. What about their player who kicked Brindley in the back when he was going to take a throw-in? It was a good game, but Accrington’s hype is very much overstated.
  6. Luke Williams doesn’t need to make changes; there’s no reason for it. If he does, I would imagine it’s tactical or to give someone a rest. All the players are performing at an acceptable level. I think the squad is coming to grips with the level of League Two, whilst our fitness levels have helped to keep consistent performance for 90 minutes. The fact that Notts aren’t chasing the ball or wasting energy is a good thing. I want to see Notts make Accrington work for the ball and any chances that come their way. I have every faith that Notts can do well against them.
  7. It’s an interesting point; I think we all do from time to time. I would rather support and enjoy watching Notts than allow what happens to cause me to be too critical. At times this will happen, but I think I am able to reset. I know there are people who have a disliking for Sam Slocombe, and this season it seems to be Connell Rawlinson and Kyle Cameron. To be at the point where you call for them to leave or complain after one mistake, not taking into consideration all the good they do, then I would hate to be those types of people. They are far too unreasonable and critical of things.
  8. Whilst we are winning, it’s not something that is a concern. Notts can keep the ball, slow the game down, and then start passing it around as if they’re Barcelona. What’s not to like about that? I can see other teams slowing their game down as it allows for better technique and attention on the ball.
  9. Luke Williams does a good job balancing who starts. I think the call to play Sam Austin at Doncaster was a good one. It’s useful because some players don’t want to be squad players and try to force themselves into the starting 11 or even out of the club. So far, we have signed players who are all fully committed to Williams and Notts County. It’s really a superb feeling, knowing that this squad will push themselves that extra bit that gets results.
  10. Anything is possible within reason; there’s no reason why Notts couldn’t be playing at a much higher level, but my concern is that the Premier League brings a lot of debt and price increases. We are a family club, and I fear this will change if the Premier League were to beckon. I don’t want Notts to jump too far ahead of themselves. I wish to see them in the Championship in the near future, which is where I would be happiest. Until then, we are in League Two, and I am enjoying our time.
  11. At 25 years of age, with the right height and a good amount of positive attributes, he could be a valuable signing for Notts if they have the ability to make it happen.

  16. Hello, welcome to the PON site @Bryn Roberts.
  17. It was end-to-end at the start, but Notts had the best of chances. Tranmere tried to huff and puff, but they didn’t get anywhere. Cedwyn’s injury turned the game on its head. It gave Tranmere the surge to believe they could get something; it shows the real quality that our 11 has and how defiant we are in protecting leads when going down to 10 men. It’s much easier to hold leads than to come back from disadvantages when teams have goals and you have fewer players on the pitch. Excellent win, long may it continue.
  18. The fact that he was able to walk off, albeit with a limp, should be a positive sign. If he’s out for 1-3 months, we should have the cover. It will give Junior Morias a chance to show what he’s got. Given that, it would give Cedwyn Scott the ideal time to recover.
  19. The painting is very good; the detail is exceptional and it’s certainly different.
  20. I wasn’t present at the match, but I remember it. Those were the good old days! Leicester City’s Foxes couldn’t handle our flying Magpies!
  21. Those last moments were a test for Notts' spirit! Buckling down despite being a man less, and managing to navigate through a tricky finish, shows great resilience. I particularly admired how players stepped up and put in extra effort to cover the spaces left. The team cohesion was highly evident, no one let their heads drop. These are the performances that give fans joy and pride for various reasons, not just for the win but for the show of extraordinary character.
  22. The connection between the fans and the team was electric at Meadow Lane. The support from the crowd truly lifted the players and gave them the extra push they needed. And it's amazing to see the impact of Luke Williams' coaching on Rawlinson's growth as a player. His philosophy and the one-on-one work with Ryan Harley seem to be paying off. Notts County is definitely on the right track for a successful season.
  23. The remarks made by Luke Williams towards the support we gathered in the away section carry significant weight in terms of the club's current standing. Nurturing this connection is essential, as having a substantial number of fans firmly supporting the club elevates matters to a different level.
  24. We were truly blessed with an exceptional team during that era. It wasn't just about the figures on their backs, but the sheer commitment and dedication they poured into playing for the club. Anyone who had the privilege of witnessing this squad in action can undoubtedly consider themselves fortunate. The level of heart and passion they displayed on the pitch, playing for the clubs pride rather than a badge, is something that often feels rare in today's game. It's a chapter of football history that remains etched in the memories of those who were there to witness it.
  25. This achievement has certainly brought a dash of optimism and pride to our club. Macaulay Langstaff's story of patience and belief coming to fruition in the form of his first FL goals is heartening. What is equally encouraging is the acknowledgment of other members' contributions like Sam Austin and the new tactics involving set pieces.
