David McGoldrick: "I've learned that money doesn't bring happiness"
Some players may take note and realise that money isn’t everything. I would prefer to enjoy doing a job I am paid to do rather than one I dislike. I am not suggesting that David McGoldrick disliked his time at Derby, but his decision to opt for less pay in exchange for more enjoyment is commendable.

Jim O’Brien praises Notts County’s new signings
Jim always presents himself well. I appreciate everything he says, and while others may consider him past his prime, I do not. I believe he performed solidly last season, but not everyone values ageing players. I hope he enjoys playing in League Two and helps us achieve a top-end finish.

Jodi Jones is looking good
Jodi Jones is an exceptional player who even looks impressive playing for Malta. I am delighted that he will be with us for the next two years.

Oxford United adds goal-scoring playmaker Rúben Rodrigues to squad
Good signing for Oxford; I do wonder if the club knew or reacted to them breaking the news as it was all very quick. It looks like Ruben was in Portugal, as I saw a video of him wishing us all the best. I repeat that and wish him the same!

Ruben Rodrigues bids farewell to Meadow Lane as exits Notts County
Just reading all the comments, you can see what it means to the fans and how Ruben has touched us all. He leaves with my kindness. I will remember him getting the better of most teams quite fondly.

Notts County retains key player Jim O’Brien for another season
Solid re-signing; Jim is always ever dependable and when he’s needed, he’s the experienced leg that goes that extra distance to help Notts get the result needed.

David McGoldrick: "It's nice to be back at Notts County, it is my club"
Good signing. Players often speak with emotion to help their transition across, but I believe every word David McGoldrick says. He’s here to help us progress and I think it’s a great thing.

David McGoldrick Signs Two-Year Contract with Boyhood Club Notts County
Fantastic signing, I just hope we don’t lose Rodriguez, he’s one of the best players I’ve seen in a Notts shirt in recent years.

Notts County announce full pre-season fixtures ahead of League Two campaign
Nice set of pre-season fixtures; it should be a good run for the lads. I am happy that Nottingham Forest has agreed to come back so soon, as this will be a real test for players provided they field a good squad.

Who are the defenders Notts County could sign to improve their defence in League Two?
Di’Shon Bernard has had some injury concerns but I do think Portsmouth will try to pick him up, he would be a big signing if he was on the Notts radar, otherwise Tom James and Tom Bradbury could do the trick. Decent suggestions, @Chris. Nice write-up!

Will Randall joins Notts County and praises Head Coach Luke Williams
Randall is a fantastic addition to the squad. He has pace, skill, vision and work rate. He can create and score goals from anywhere on the pitch. He’s exactly what we need to challenge for promotion next season.

Can we do a Luton?
Well done to Luton for their impressive accomplishment. It's truly wonderful to witness a team of their calibre secure a spot in the Premier League once again. Their return to the top tier of UK football not only demonstrates their ability and determination but also adds excitement and variety to the league for the fans. This achievement will surely be a catalyst for Luton's continued development and success on and off the pitch in the years to come.

Jodi Jones reflects on his 'amazing feeling' after scoring winner for Notts County
Jodi Jones is a quality player who consistently seeks to engage in the game. His defensive skills are an added advantage. In my opinion, he is more refined than players such as Aaron Nemane.

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
Can you clarify if he started his career at Stoke City, i.e came through their academy or if he began his career having signed for them from elsewhere to start?

Match Discussion: Game 46 - The Minstermen (H)
I'm really looking forward to the upcoming match between Notts County and York City. Our team is strong and has a solid game plan, so I think we have a good chance of winning. The players have been working hard in training and are determined to give it their all on the pitch. Our support as fans will also be crucial in boosting the team's morale. With our vocal encouragement and unwavering loyalty, the players will feel even more motivated to perform at their best. I'm hopeful that with a combination of skill, strategy, and support, Notts will come out on top against York.

Vote for Notts County's 2022/23 Player of the Season now!
It's good to have back-to-back seasons where there are more than one strong contender. I thought last season was difficult to choose, but this time is even more challenging.

Match Discussion: Game 44 - The Cardinals (H)
The first half wasn't the best for either team. I thought Woking looked like a decent team when they weren't playing the poor sportsmanship card. Neither team looked likely to score. The second half was an improvement. Notts started to attack with more urgency, and I thought Sam Austin was class! His first goal was very well taken, and his second was superb! I wasn't sure if Aaron Nemane actually scored the third goal; it was a bizarre bicycle kick. Notts largely improved once the first goal went in, and I thought the game was very entertaining. I didn't understand why Jodi Jones and Adam Chicksen switched, but once that had been reverted and Aaron Nemane came on, he looked quite lively!

Where are they now... Zeli Ismail
Zeli Ismail had the potential to be a game changer on any given day, but he can also fade into obscurity. I observed that he performed well only in certain periods of the game, and would step up his game when required, as he did against Barnsley. However, this was not a frequent occurrence, and I did not sense that he had the drive to advance beyond League One. Despite possessing natural talent and potential, it seemed that he lacked the motivation to excel. Consequently, I had reservations about his prospects of achieving success at a higher level.
