  1. Tyson Fury is a simpleton who trash talks like a 6-year-old. He is a decent boxer, but not as good as he thinks. Antony Joshua can be unprofessional, but he is realistic. He has a few more years of fighting left, and beating Fury would prove a point. That fight will be big, but I expect Fury to come up with something to avoid it. Usyk taught him a lesson.
  2. He looks like a talented lad. I think it’s good that Notts didn’t throw him straight into the game but used his time on the pitch well. It gives us something to hope for, as we have seen many young players come and go. But I don’t know, James Sanderson, Riley Reynolds, and Kameron Muir have something special about them. I hope they continue to flourish, but what an honour for Muir to have.
  3. Great gallery! I’m sure the fans featured are thrilled to see their photos. You’ve done Notts proud, @Chris.
  4. Things took a negative turn at Notts when he was here, then at Forest, and later at Solihull Moors. Solihull Moors had been doing quite well before Craig Cope was appointed. He changes his job title when talking about his time at Notts; he was a performance analyst .The tweet might not show.
  5. Putting aside the result, Notts had the chances to win, but unfortunately, it wasn’t our day. I thought the officiating was poor, but we had several chances to make something of the game, and sometimes that’s how it ends. I am encouraged, considering we only just fell short. I thought Sam Austin’s goal should have stood.
  6. Luton Town 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday Sheffield United 1-2 Derby County ????Joker Bolton Wanderers 2-0 Reading Peterborough United 3-1 Bristol Rovers Bradford City 1-- AFC Wimbledon Salford City 1-2 Walsall Hartlepool United 0-1 Dagenham & Redbridge Oldham Athletic 2-1 Yeovil Town
  7. He was ahead of his time in many ways, and his success in the modern game might depend on various factors. I think Brian Clough may have struggled to match his past success with how the game changed in the 90s and up to this point. I would like to think Jimmy Sirrel could do wonders in the lower levels. Cloughie may have been more like Neil Warnock, successful in relative terms but not to the same degree as in their real-life careers.
  8. Gillingham aren’t as good as they think. They have done well so far and deserve credit for that, but comparing our sides, we are very blessed, and that quality should shine through. I think it will be a lively encounter, with the first half ending 0-0. The second half is where I imagine the action will unfold, and I hope it is in favour of Notts rather than them.
  9. I think you can see that the club is approaching each team differently as we are attacking them in various ways. We’re becoming less reliant on using the wider areas of the pitch, which has been predictable in recent years. Still, it’s very good and promising football. I praise the team’s efforts in working hard to break down teams. I don’t really listen to much about how teams’ defences are doing; they haven’t faced us, and likewise, we haven’t really had a tough game so far.
  10. A good FA Cup run could be beneficial, but I fear fans might dismiss it in favour of focusing on the league, especially if Notts remains top. It could be a good chance to rotate some of the players who normally wouldn’t get many minutes, and the money could be useful. Winning games breeds confidence and could have a more positive effect than it would impact the club’s league chances. It would be good to see us make the 3rd or 4th round.
  11. We have players who can step in, but it would be good to know the status of Lucas Ness, Cedwyn Scott, and Rod McDonald. I hope Curtis Edwards comes back stronger, as he’s clearly a very good player.
  12. Good insights! It’s nice to read level-headed fans talk and open up about their team. I wasn’t aware of their injury issues. It says a lot about them for being able to continue as if it doesn’t affect them. So, good start for them, but I am hoping we can keep winning at Meadow Lane. No game is easy, but we have to be at our best, and a good performance would build more confidence.
  13. The defending for the first goal was very poor. Right from kick-off, we were under pressure again. This is why Notts shouldn’t always pass the ball all the way back. Instead of inviting pressure, they should try to find space ahead of them. This way, they might get comfortable on the ball and find it less challenging.
  14. Notts has always needed to rely on the squad. It’s just that it’s taken time to sign players who are good enough to rotate whilst still maintaining a solid team performance. I think the squad now has a lot of talent. The only player I am unsure about is Robbie Cundy, but the rest have fitted in well. Cundy could improve over time, but he’s the only player who doesn’t quite fit our squad right now.
  15. The shot Macaulay Langstaff had was a close effort. All the talk and lack of playing time impacts a performer, even if they don’t realise it. He would have scored that for us, but it was still a good effort and a positive sign. If Millwall can build similar chances, he’ll come good, but he needs to be played. Millwall need to give him confidence so he can focus and ignore the stats.
  16. He does seem to be finding his feet at AZ. He’s still young, what, 22? He should do well with them and make a strong career for himself. There are worse places to be.
  17. It’s good to see the Notts Women’s team enjoying a solid victory over Mansfield in the cup. Good luck to them in it.
  18. It is nice to see them catching up and sharing a photo together. Both featured for Notts and deserve to be remembered for their contributions. I agree, John Bostock will forever be remembered for being a rock in midfield at his best for Notts.
  19. Morecambe should be fine. It’s early days, and they just need to adjust and get their first win of the season. I think they’ll end up mid-table or in the lower half, but away from the drop.
  20. It is a grim video that still grabs your attention and makes you think. Does anyone remember BBC’s Ghost Watch? That had a similar effect on the nation in the 90s.
  21. I am happier knowing Notts are at home to Gillingham than playing at their ground. I feel the 12th man will encourage the players to perform at their best. Stuart Maynard is right about the depth. Rotation at times is useful too. It was good to see Jodi Jones, Jatta, and Dan Crowley find the net.
  22. Happy Birthday, @CliftonMagpie! If you’re 22, reversing it won’t make you feel any younger! Enjoy your day! ????
  23. Junior Morias has pace and the ability to score. His move to Notts seemed bright, but he just didn’t get much chance. He has a good rapport at Dagenham, and they can get the best out of him. I would like to see it work out here, but I also don’t think it’s likely.
  24. Jodi Jones' commitment to our club until 2027 speaks volumes about his character and passion. What truly sets him apart is how much he values the fans and their support. You can feel the excitement in his words when he talks about staying. His preference for assisting teammates instead of chasing personal stats embodies true sportsmanship. Under the direction of Stuart Maynard, Jones has grown immensely, and his decision to remain signifies his belief in the club’s future. His connection with fans and his unselfish play style are what make him such a cherished player at Notts County
  25. Palmer’s return has been marked by an incredible performance and much-needed leadership. His ability to come back from a serious injury and immediately make an impact speaks volumes about his resilience and professionalism. Against Bromley, his influence was unmistakable as he guided the team from a precarious position to a glorious victory. His reflections post-match highlighted the depth of the squad and his admiration for teammates like Jodi Jones. It’s clear that Palmer is not only a player but also a mentor and motivator. His experience will be pivotal as we continue in League Two, and his return could not have come at a better time.
