  1. When Paul Devlin signed for Notts County, there was a lot of excitement and hope for success. Sometimes he played scrappy football, but he was a very good player who enjoyed the club's success in the early 1990s. He was part of a group of young players, like Tommy Johnson, Mark Draper, and Michael Johnson, who were destined for success in football. His career was long and successful, and Birmingham City fans remember his performances fondly. He is also fondly remembered by Notts County fans.
  2. It's fantastic to see Notts performing so well, especially with key players missing. McGoldrick's finishing was top-notch, and Bass’s saves were crucial. The team's ability to control possession and create chances shows the depth and quality in the squad. Abbott's contributions in midfield were impressive, breaking up play and linking up with teammates seamlessly. Overall, a well-rounded and professional performance that promises great things for the rest of the season.

  4. It's stating the obvious and reminds Notts fans that we've lost the best striker we've had in years. I hope Millwall fans have the sense to push their club to recruit in the right area and support Macaulay Langstaff.
  5. It's best to share the statement before any unrest, so I commend the club for thinking ahead and potentially preventing disappointment.
  6. It is appropriate that Notts County is paying tribute to Sven-Göran Eriksson, whose time as Director of Football was a significant boost and media attraction during one of the club's best seasons in many years. It is sad to think that we are saying goodbye to him without being able to bring him back to the club in the years since, but this tribute will be our way of recognizing his contributions.
  7. It's good to hear from Accrington fans. They're usually fair. Accrington Stanley has been successful under Andy Holt. He seems to care about the club, and it's hard for teams like ours to keep our best players. Notts knows this from losing Langstaff and Nemane. I think Notts can use the momentum from recent games. If our players work hard, we should score goals.
  8. Some people say he's lazy, but he could play in the Championship if he tried harder. He sounds like the kind of player we used to sign under Trew. We hoped we'd find a hidden gem. It will be interesting to see if Notts is the right place for him and if he'll work hard here. I don't care about his past. Everyone makes mistakes, and if he doesn't do it again, I don't hold it against him.
  9. Well, it's good to see Jatta back in the starting lineup. The rest of the team should stay the same. David McGoldrick played well at Swindon Town, but I think he's better coming on from the bench. He just played a full game. Accrington Town has some good players, but they haven't been able to keep many of their best ones.
  10. This is what an experienced player does when the team is in form. Part of me is glad that he recognises the need to improve, but I also think he's being a bit too hard on himself. His performance was perfectly fine. As I said, a player with his background and experience in the Championship will only help us with our promotion goals.
  11. I thought he had retired. Didn't he come out of retirement the last time he was at Notts? I thought he had been retired for a few years now. I know football can be addictive, but retirement is something to enjoy. I hope he manages to be productive in his retirement.
  12. We can't afford to lose anyone, with Aidan Stone working hard in training and not seeming to be going anywhere. I think Notts will see him as the backup goalkeeper. I think realistically we might see another player come in on loan, ideally a striker. As for players leaving, we can't afford to lose anyone who isn't on the transfer list. Dan Crowley and Jodi Jones are match winners, we need their quality.
  13. Derby County 1-0 Bristol City Plymouth Argyle 1-2 Stoke City Crawley Town 0-3 Barnsley Joker ???? Peterborough United 2-0 Wrexham Accrington Stanley 0-0 Colchester United Carlisle United 0-1 Tranmere Rovers Altrincham 1-1 Oldham Athletic Gateshead 2-1 Eastleigh
  14. George Abbott’s arrival at Notts brings a lot of excitement and promise. Coming from a club like Tottenham, he brings a wealth of training and experience that could prove invaluable. It’s great to see his eagerness to dive into the League Two environment and his keen interest in playing in front of our amazing supporters. His remarks on the club's style of play and his compatibility with it give me hope that he’ll fit right in. Also, his desire to make an impact while aiming for a spot on the England Under-20 squad speaks to his ambition.
  15. Welcome to Notts County, George Abbott! Reading about your journey from Tottenham's Under 8s to the Under 21 captain is truly inspiring. It shows how dedicated and hardworking you are. I’m particularly excited about your versatility on the field, being able to play in different positions. Your experience in high-profile matches and leading teams to victories at such a young age speaks volumes about your potential. I’m sure you’ll bring a fresh and dynamic approach to our squad. Best of luck!
  16. We don't need to change our playing style much. Stuart Maynard will probably keep the team the same. Everyone who played against Grimsby Town is healthy, so I expect the team to stay mostly the same. Jatta is a player that Swindon fans like. Let's hope he can score for us.
  17. He seems like an interesting signing. I hope he's more like Jack Grealish or Callum McGregor than our other signings. Many Spurs fans like him, which is nice. But I don't know if many of them have seen him play a lot. I hope he can show his skills and help us.
  18. Tony Hateley will always be remembered for his goalscoring ability. He was a complete forward in the old-fashioned sense. His second time at Notts felt like a great homecoming. I wasn't there for his first time, but I've heard many stories from my family about how good he was with his feet and head.
  19. Bad luck to the women's team. You can't complain about the final result. I'm sure they did their best. The Forest women's team has a lot of money
  20. It's funny to see "Yeovl Town" spelled wrong. They used to be in the Championship. I'm surprised they spelled "official" and "merchandise" correctly.
  21. It's great that Notts has turned down the offers for our players. I wasn't too worried because it would be crazy to sell Dan Crowley or Jodi Jones now. They're working hard to bring in new players, but it's been tough. Selling either or both wouldn't make it easier. So, I'm really happy about that. Lewis Macari has been playing very well. People might talk about him more because of his grandfather, but he deserves our praise. He looks like a good player.
  22. @Fan of Big Tone It was a failed attempt at humour. I also forgot that it was actually Paul Whitehouse who does a spot-on impression of Michael Caine.
  23. Drissa Traoré played for Notts in 2014-15, before signing for Swindon Town when his time at Meadow Lane ended.
  24. It’s great to see Lou Macari come to Nottingham and watch his grandson. I bet Louis Macari is always happy to be watched. Following in his grandfather’s footsteps is special. Of all the players we’ve had, Louis looks like he could go quite far.
  25. Families are often what get you into a club. Notts might not have been trendy when I was a boy, but I felt instantly connected to them as soon as I started going to games. The shirts from the late 70s and 80s were special. The shorts wouldn’t be acceptable now, but they were stylish back then. The players were iconic to a young person.
