  1. I think Paul Bolland ended his football career at Harrogate Town.
  2. We must leave the past behind and concentrate on applying our learned lessons moving forward. I concur with Luke Williams that this must be demonstrated in matches, but knowing that we’re training well is still a positive sign. Hopefully, we won’t lose heart and will enter the Harrogate match with a desire to improve. We’ve used losses as catalysts for improvement, and that’s exactly what we need now. With proper organisation and avoiding lapses in focus, results should follow.
  3. Welcome to PON @TT1970! Join in and let us know a bit about your background.
  4. Norwich City 2-0 Preston North End Joker Rotherham United 0-1 Swansea City Exeter City 1-0 Port Vale Wigan Athletic 1-2 Lincoln City Wycombe Wanderers 3-1 Shrewsbury Town AFC Wimbledon 0-1 Swindon Town Sutton United 0-0 Harrogate Town Tranmere Rovers 2-0 Newport County
  5. It's great to see you joining in @Callumpie, even better to see you add a display picture and other info. Welcome to PON!
  6. Brilliantly analysed, PON News. I'm particularly interested in Crowley and Jones' partnership. They seem to be hitting form at the perfect time and could be catalytic in shaping this match's outcome.
  7. A wonderful interview with a real captain! Kyle Cameron's pragmatic outlook is refreshing. Yes, we're doing well, but we've got to iron out those defensive lapses. Every game is a battle, and without a solid defence, winning is a far-fetched dream. Time to step up, Notts.
  8. On paper, Walsall might seem like a team we should beat. However, I think it’s important not to underestimate them. I trust that Luke Williams and his team have done their homework by reviewing the opposition’s footage, so I’m optimistic about our starting 11. The upcoming match at Meadow Lane promises to be an exciting one.
  9. I make sure I walk for 30 minutes most days, apart from walking. I'm about the perfect weight for my age and size, work keeps me on my toes. On Fridays, I usually go for a jog after having a drink or two with my colleagues, quite handy as long as I don't end up missing the bus.
  10. Has anyone watched the BBC today? The Panorama program highlighted the number of times breaches to our rivers, lakes, and water have been caused by failures in waste disposal through the water network. They do try to control themselves and have been covering up incidents. It makes you wonder how widespread it is.
  11. I spent the weekend pretending to watch paint dry as I lingered around my windows, unsure whether to go out or not. In the end, I didn't, mostly because of the cold. I don't mind when it snows, as it's a bit of a change, but I don't feel adventurous. It's good to see you getting out and about @Fan of Big Tone, and I also send my best wishes to your sister @Piethagoram. I'm thinking of you both; it sounds terrible, especially so close to Christmas when you should be together under nicer circumstances.
  12. I don't think some of the changes, like the pitch and the advertising boards, are necessary until the club has managed to return to the Championship. I would prefer to see improvements in areas that benefit us now and in the long term.
  13. What a game it was, I remember it clearly and how we played to stay on top until the end. There wasn't a single slacker in the Notts squad, not at all. We were all fantastic that day.
  14. I haven't had any issues with my eyes, so I'm thankful for that. I'm a bit squeamish when it comes to things close to my eyes, but I get them checked every two to three years. It's great to see so many positive stories about members who have had successful operations. It seems that eye specialists have made great progress since the millennium.
  15. Well, you wouldn’t want the goalkeeper to be yours as that’s just making fun and results in a silly outcome that could have been avoided. Yet, you would want the foul to be given. It’s a peculiar football clip.
  16. I shudder to imagine what the worst goalkeeper mistake has been. I’m doing my utmost to forget about these types of nightmares. Once you’ve seen them, they’re hard to forget! The best advice is to try not to remember them.
  17. What a fantastic goal! That is truly breathtaking. I hope the young man has a goal bonus because he should receive extra pay for such a spectacular effort.
  18. Yes, I recall this outcome. Oldham had their moments of brilliance. The late 80s and 90s were somewhat of a high point for the club. It’s been a downhill journey since then, but their supporters have memories like this thrashing of one of the poorest West Ham teams in years.
  19. It’s thoroughly deserved. I’m delighted that both of you were recognised, as I believe you put a great deal of effort and time into your contributions here. So, a hearty well done to you, @Piethagoram and @super_ramr.
  20. Hello, @Strawb66. I hope to see you join in with the community, so for now welcome.
  21. Everyone can lose their way, but you can always jump back in when you’re ready. The reason fans feel compelled to share their thoughts varies, but it’s likely that the more you contribute, the more you’ll gain. I recall the concern when there was talk of Twitter changing to X.com under Elon Musk. This isn’t Twitter, but it’s a fantastic fan community.
  22. Rebounding from injury is a stern test for any sportsperson, and Junior Morias ably demonstrates his grit and dedication in such times. His commitment to supporting the team off-field and his readiness to contribute whenever required expresses endless determination. His trust in the team’s strategy is also highly laudable. He embodies what a Notts County player should be!
  23. Plymouth Argyle 0-2 Stoke City Swansea City 1-0 Huddersfield Town Cambridge United 2-1 Fleetwood Town Crewe Alexandra 0-1 Bristol Rovers Gillingham 0-2 Charlton Athletic Newport County 1-0 Barnet Halifax Town 1-2 Solihull Moors Oxford City 0-1 Maidenhead United Joker
  24. It was delightful to see Jim O’Brien receive his well-deserved recognition against Crawley Town. His performance was steady and his goal was timed perfectly with a tempting cross. It’s just like Jim to shift the spotlight onto his teammates, a true mark of respect.
  25. It was a fantastic comeback, and Notts really needed that win. We seemed quite anxious when Crawley had too much possession. Adam Campbell’s goal was excellent, no one can deny that. But the way we stayed positive and fought for a comeback was truly heartening. It was a joy to see David McGoldrick score, and even more so when Jim O’Brien’s header put us in the lead.
