  1. Mike Dean is aware that he has made a mistake, and now he’s simply trying to deflect the guilt and responsibility. I agree that he has not accepted responsibility for his actions, as if he had, his apology would not have been so defensive in nature. He owes Chelsea Football Club and their fans the biggest apology, and now I hope he stops trying to do the media rounds and complaining about people trying to make a story out of it. Well, it seems that this is exactly what he wants.
  2. I can understand why he has been sacked - Eastleigh Football Club has had a very poor start to the season. These days, I am less shocked to see a manager leave a club; I am more surprised to see one complete a full season, and even more so if they manage to stay beyond that without achieving success.
  3. This is scaremongering of the highest order - there are plenty of options available and a wealth of experience to draw upon. Charlton Athletic Football Club will likely go for someone with experience, someone who is familiar with League One and the Championship. I doubt they will opt for an unknown or up-and-coming manager who is only in the second season of his most successful spell.
  4. It's good to have you here, so hello and welcome to PON @Sir Magpie.
  5. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, you should find it to be a lot of fun here. Hello from me, @NorthPie.
  6. Hello, @Gary Adamson. It's good to have you here. Welcome to PON.
  7. Hello, @Andrew Edwards. Welcome to PON. You made a good decision to join.
  8. Macaulay Langstaff's determination to force a mistake even with one less player is commendable. It's a great example of the team's spirit.
  9. Luke Williams seems to be making a positive impact on the players. It's great to see them elevating their performance under his guidance. Ryan Harley's one-on-one work must be invaluable as well.
  10. Tranmere Rovers have a very good team. Eventually, they will come together, and I just hope it won’t be against Notts today.
  11. Coventry City 0-1 Sunderland Millwall 1-2 Stoke City Exeter City 1-1 Reading Lincoln City 2-0 Blackpool Bradford City 3-1 Crewe Alexandra Joker Walsall 0-1 Grimsby Town Boreham Wood 1-0 Oldham Athletic Ebbsfleet United 0-0 Kidderminster Harriers
  12. Having watched the team bounce back from the initial setback at Sutton United, it’s evident that we have a squad that's resilient and determined to excel. The unbeaten run offers a lot of positivity and excitement ahead of this weekend’s match. The prospect of Langstaff building on his scoring form is an added boost that could prove crucial against Tranmere. They may have stumbled out of the blocks with a raft of a defeat, but no side should ever be taken lightly. A positive result here would not only cement our good form but also continue to build confidence within the squad. Let's hope our boys seize this opportunity!
  13. Football isn't just about having skilled players; it's about having versatile players who can adapt to the changing styles of play. Brindley is living proof of that. Transitioning to League Two style and fitting into the back three formation, he truly exemplifies versatility. His willingness to ensure the team’s win, regardless of his position, shows exceptional sportsmanship.
  14. It’s all signs that the club and players are all striving for the same purpose. The club is focusing on the right things, and performance-wise, I only think concerns should arise if we are outplayed. These mistakes that are happening are becoming less and less frequent. This is because of the work everyone is putting into training. We need to reflect on this effort and desire to improve.
  15. I am confident that if we play the way Luke Williams knows his Notts squad is capable of playing, the game will be exciting and full of opportunities. Aaron Nemane, with his pace alone, will be a crucial player, as will Jodi Jones. If we feed the ball to Macaulay Langstaff, we need not worry so much about who is on their team.
  16. One name that stood out to me was Eugène Dadi.
  17. I respect Kyle Cameron for having come out and apologised. I think once the disappointment had settled, more fans would have felt the same, but I never expected him to come out and say it. The players have put in the effort on the pitch, and that’s enough for me.
  18. I wish Ricardo Moniz all the best. I have no idea how tough the Croatian league is, but I do hope he does well with his club.
  19. Fans might be fearless about losing Macaulay Langstaff. Notts has done well in certain areas by retaining players, and it’s good that we haven’t lost anyone at a crucial stage in any of the recent seasons. I know some felt disappointed to see Cal Roberts leave. However, Aaron Nemane is a far more threatening player, and we don’t need to make him the focal point of our attacks. Likewise, Langstaff doesn’t need to be the focal point, but we just have to make sure he gets plenty of chances. It’s great news regarding the extension he has signed.
  20. It’s pleasing to see Jodi Jones rewarded with a goal; he won’t care if people believe it should be classified as an own goal.
  21. I am content. Based on what I've heard thus far, there is a noticeable absence of lacking effort in the broadcasting. Both individuals who have taken on the role this season have communicated effectively. Dave Bracegirdle is truly a delight to listen to; he appears to possess the ability to initiate conversations and engage anyone.
  22. Two home games on the horizon, time to show the opposition what we're made of. The lads are high on spirit, and with the fans behind us, wins are on the cards.
  23. Bajrami's injury is a hurdle, no doubt. But, this hurdle may become a stepping stone for another player. We must look at our internal resources before making a hasty transfer decision. Sometimes, solutions exist within our current framework.
  24. Personal achievements are always good but the focus on teamwork and group success sets Langstaff apart. He seems to understand that the game is much more than individual brilliance. And this understanding will undoubtedly benefit the team.
  25. I found it intriguing to observe Luke Williams being affected by the goal; nonetheless, he refrained from pinpointing Jim O'Brien as the sole issue. He recognises the concept of winning and defending as a unified team. The equilibrium is maintained without unnecessary commotion, and I appreciate Williams' approach in this regard. Instead of tearing the players apart over a mistake, we should foster an environment that promotes growth and enhancement.
