Very good game, Notts worked Doncaster and made them look like a very poor team. They don’t seem to have the quality to match most of the teams in this league, whilst I can’t see them being relegated. I do see them floating around near the bottom, especially with their supporters being quiet and passionless. What a great win today for Notts!

The thing about most players is that they will be diplomatic and I have respect for John Bostock that he won’t forget his time with his club. Some players move on then act like the previous club is their enemy. Professional players won’t do this, which is a great thing. I also praise Bostock for going to the fans before and after games.

Well, the start was slow and at times we lacked penetration. It wasn’t due to a lack of effort, more so because Doncaster just marked and made any space quite compact. They wouldn’t half clatter some of our players when trying to knock the ball out for a throw-in. I wasn’t impressed by them or their fans, I never heard a peep out of them and that’s just poor in my eyes. Our fans were very loud and made the away game very enjoyable, great game. It opened up in the second half, Jodi Jones showed some real class with his goal.

I would like to see Adam Chicksen out wide, rather than in the middle. If Richard Brindley is fit enough, I would certainly have him in the middle of the back three. I also agree with the article by @TheSkipper that John Bostock is a must because of the height Doncaster have. I suspect that they will be physical too, so we need all the grit we can get. I feel Doncaster are there for the taking and if the squad works hard enough, we should come back with a good result.

Although there are positive aspects to consider, it is frustrating to have controlled the game so much. While I respect the outcome, I believe we should have returned with all three points. Based on the events that transpired, the result is fair. Neither team posed enough challenges to the other. However, Luke Williams is correct in his assertion that we need to concentrate during the game. With patience, success will come.

I am fully inclined to view it as a point earned. Despite our efforts, without a clear opportunity, it's difficult to perceive it otherwise. I believe Luke Williams might have made a prudent choice by introducing a substitution at half-time, perhaps bringing on Sam Austin or John Bostock.
