Notts County’s Jodi Jones Declares: ‘I’ll Be Back Stronger’ After Tibia Fracture
Jodi Jones is a big loss for us. If he reads comments from our fans or on the Pride of Nottingham, I hope he knows we are all with him and want to support him as best we can through his injury. We could have had worse news, but any type of break is never good. It’s good how he’s taken it and is focusing on what matters. He’s an exceptional player, a class above League Two, and I wish him a safe but speedy recovery. It will be great to see him back in the team. I am sure we have cover, and when he does return, he will make a huge impact on the team. His return could come at a vital point when we need someone of his quality.

MAGnets link - Carlisle United
I know who Joshua is referring to, but I will say Mark Ellis since today is his birthday! He’s played for us and Carlisle. He’s a very good defender. I wished he had joined us permanently, as it seemed every other week he would score or be heavily involved. Good player, despite his short time with us.

Opposition View: Liam Cole on Carlisle United’s Rebuild Under Mike Williamson and Facing Notts County
I think it's a brilliant read. The answers are detailed and give a good understanding of what it’s like to be a Carlisle United fan. I hope they start improving, but obviously not before Saturday. They have a fantastic ground, which makes me wish I could go! Also, check out what Liam wrote in the comments on Facebook.

September's Player of the Month: Pride of Nottingham
I voted for Matty Platt. While I agree that Jacob Bedeau has been exceptional defensively and very good going forward, I think Platt has been an unsung hero with his defensive duties.

Match Report: Notts County Held to a Frustrating 1-1 Draw at Morecambe
We knew it would be tough. Morecambe did well, and I accept the point. These games will make us stronger. As people keep saying, it would have been a game last season that we might have lost. Notts just needs to work harder in these difficult games to ensure we are more involved and quicker to figure out how to make chances. It’s a decent draw against a good team. I think some naturally thought because Morecambe are bottom, we should have steamrolled them.

Match Discussion: Game 8 - The Shrimps (A)
We knew it would be a tough game. Their first goal looked difficult, and nobody is really at fault. It was a fluke, but I’m not sure if he handled the ball or not leading to the goal. It doesn’t really matter. A point is what both teams deserved, and officials at our level will always be questionable. I think the draw showed we can avoid defeat. As for fans moaning, Maynard made some good decisions, and he’s trying to balance the squad ahead of Tuesday’s fixture. I’m happy to take a point here, regardless of whether we should have won or lost.

Match Preview: Morecambe FC Seek Redemption as Notts County Push for Promotion
I thought Morecambe would make it difficult. They adapted well against Notts, and it sounded like a hard game for us to adjust to. I think the draw is probably what most fans would have taken from the game. Either team could have won it, but as far as previews go, this one pretty much hit the nail on the head. Except the score prediction, gaffer.

Jacob Bedeau Reflects on Time at Morecambe and Looks Ahead to Notts County's Promotion Push
I like how Jacob Bedeau clearly sees Notts as a team on the rise. Maintaining that in hard-fought performances is key to any promotion race. I believe we have two of the best in League Two in him and Matty Platt. Bedeau will be a very important player for us. A lot has changed from the days when we struggled to sign good young players.

Jacob Bedeau: 'Facing My Former Club Is Special, but Notts County Come First!'
Jacob Bedeau made some good comments. I like his wise words about Kameron Muir, and that should be encouraging for the young player. As for him returning to Morecambe, I am sure he feels more suited to being with us and pushing for promotion from League Two. Morecambe should pick up in time, but I feel he’s a very good defender.

Who is your Notts man of the match v Morecambe?
David McGoldrick was everywhere on the pitch. He was crucial in making Notts County work, especially since the team seemed limited in the first half. From what others have said and from what I heard on the radio, I have to agree that Didzy was the key player.

Aiden Stone to Boston on Loan
I do feel sorry for Aidan Stone. He wasn’t the worst keeper we have had, and I think he showed signs that he could have come good. I wish him all the best at Boston. I hope they take him on and help him to become their number one.

Stuart Maynard: Morecambe clash a stern test as Notts County seek to bounce back
Stuart Maynard is starting to find his feet with the interviews. He doesn’t shy away from questions and answers them with enough detail as you would expect. It might not be to the level of Luke Williams, but I am enjoying seeing his confidence grow.

Match Discussion: Game 8 - The Shrimps (A)
Notts have been playing away from home. Perhaps the better performances have been at home, but Morecambe is a good chance to lift that confidence. I doubt they will be anything but easy, but I think they will allow us to play to a certain level we would expect. I can’t see them wanting to keep it scrappy or play too defensively, as it seems they have issues at the back and conceding goals is punishing them. I would say it could end up as a draw, but I honestly believe there are goals to be had.

Weekly Chat 23rd to 29th September.
I have been meaning to mention this. My last scan on my leg had a good outcome. I have had the cast redone, and I am able to walk quite well on crutches. I wish I could make it tomorrow, but it’s not wise. I will focus on recovering and attending home games. I have moved into the KOP as it’s easier for me. Once my leg progresses a bit more, they can review what surgery I need so that I can get back to walking unaided.

Welcome to Notts Josh Martin.
Josh Martin looks like a sensible signing, one which could pay off. If he doesn’t cut it, it’s only a short-term deal. Every player in our squad has to be motivated, and I think we have a squad that can help new recruits settle in and perform well. If we look at George Abbott, he has grown quite a lot since his debut for us.

Notts County's Youngest Ever Player: Kameron Muir Breaks 25-Year-Old Record
This is great to see. It’s pleasing when a youngster comes in and not only does well but earns a start. This should show how the club views Kameron Muir as a player. To give him a start at his age is a dream for Muir, and he comes across very well. If he can continue to get minutes, that will be great. I think it’s exciting to see, but we need to make it count for something.

Notts County Sign Ex-Norwich Winger Josh Martin on Short-Term Deal
With the inclusion of the youth players against Burton, I hope some of them can get minutes if we need cover. Don’t get me wrong, I am glad to see the club bring in more quality and depth, but they need minutes. Josh Martin sounds like a very good signing, even if it is only for a short time. Still, if he does well enough, we can always extend, so it’s a win-win.

Opposition View: Mark Shore's "Get Out of Our Club" Message to Morecambe's Owner
You can sense that Morecambe are in deep trouble right now. Their start to the season isn’t what they managed, and perhaps under new ownership, the club can turn things around. I don’t know. I think it’s clear that the issues involving their embargo have led them to some dire trouble. As fans who have experienced this, it’s not nice to see another team experiencing ownership troubles.

Mark Stallard Reflects on Missed Opportunities in Notts County’s 1-0 Defeat to Gillingham
Gillingham weren’t that good. Defensively, they blocked some chances, but it was critical at the cost of our attacking play. Notts were unlucky at times. It’s easy to miss some good opportunities when playing in a high-tempo game. It happens all the time at the top levels, so I don’t think we need to worry about those misses. The main thing to rethink about this game is how we handle poor officials. I think if Jodi Jones hadn’t gone off, we would have scored before Sam Austin’s ruled-out goal.

Curtis Edwards Injury
Such a disappointing injury to see happen. I wouldn’t have thought he was injured until the club announced it. I think they wanted to beat the media rounds, but I am curious how long they knew he wouldn’t be coming back any time soon. It seems a bit of a while between Accrington, then Bromley, to now, even if they were waiting for the full results. I wish him well though; he’s been a great signing.

Stuart Maynard’s Optimism: Key Players Return as Notts County Prepares for Gillingham Showdown
It’s good news about the returning players. Defensively, I think we are fine. My concerns are more with Cedwyn Scott and the front line, as this is an area we can’t lose too many players. I know we have Jevani Brown, who could come in, but as I say, it’s largely positive news. I think Stuart Maynard has a good chance of managing the situation with injuries and giving some players who might not have had minutes more time.

Dan Crowley: "My Focus Is on Notts. I’m a Notts County Player."
You have to respect and appreciate what Dan Crowley brings to the team. He’s 27 now, and for us, we could go up the leagues with him as one of our star players. I don’t think there’s much sense in worrying; we just have to enjoy the football and value what he brings week in and week out. He’s such a quality player and a big part of the success we are experiencing. I am pleased to read his comments about the new players settling in. He’s right about how not changing every style or completely overhauling the squad helps to bring in settled players.
