  1. They are flourishing as a footballing nation, playing very well and showing no fear. Their current world ranking counts for nothing, as it will be higher thanks to this competition. They deserve credit for the way they played, just as much as England does for turning it around when it seemed all over. We can hope for a better performance against Switzerland.
  2. Today showed we have better in-form players who deserve to be there ahead of Jack Grealish. Personally, I think his partying spirit has affected his game, not Manchester City. He should be making a big impact but is now failing to even make their team.
  3. Should Connell Rawlinson peruse the messages sent his way, we hope he realises the depth of our gratitude as supporters. Any negative comments are overshadowed by the expressions of thanks for his contributions as a Notts player. He was a defender who consistently put in a strong effort. His dedication will be the lasting memory we hold of him.
  4. Connell Rawlinson has had a commendable stint with Notts, stepping up when we needed someone to fight for the team. He’s shown bravery, often putting himself at risk. It’s unfortunate to see him go, but the timing seems right. I hope he finds a new club that suits him well.
  5. β€˜Bang-a-bonk’ is a term I will not come across again in my lifetime. The β€˜bang’ portion does lend it a somewhat cheeky connotation, doesn’t it?
  6. I sincerely hope that Notts doesn’t impose high prices on our loyal supporters. It would be beneficial to keep things accessible and gradually ensure that Notts owns all the food stalls. However, these stalls should be operated by independent individuals. This approach could generate more revenue, rather than just taking a percentage of the earnings for the space occupied. It’s a win-win situation for everyone involved.
  7. Oh my, things are heating up now! Forget about Usyk vs Tyson. It’s Fan of Big Tone taking on Super Ram. Come on, Super! Don’t let this slide. ????
  8. Notts is in a strong position. They have the power to either accept or reject any bids. Until there’s an official announcement to the contrary, Macaulay Langstaff remains a valued member of our team!
  9. @Fan of Big Tone Hey, let’s not be too hard on Super! He’s an honorary Notts fan. Besides, when we’re feeling low, he can always lift our spirits with updates on how his beloved Derby is performing. ????????????
  10. I would be astonished if folks from Wrexham genuinely had an interest in Dolly Parton. I barely recognise her myself. I’m aware she’s a country singer, but her current relevance seems rather minimal. Unless Wrexham boasts a large number of fans who are, let’s say, seasoned gentlemen, I doubt they would be particularly concerned.
  11. I believe the image was shared as a reel on Will Evans’ Instagram account. I can’t confirm it, but there’s a chance we might be getting teased by him. You know, it’s like people adding 2 + 2 and coming up with 5. Presumably, as I mentioned in my comment above.
  12. Excellent updates, Boss! I’m confident that any alterations will prove beneficial and I’m eager to witness the growth of the site. Ideally, we could benefit from an additional one or two moderators and hopefully, individuals will step up for these roles. We have some fantastic members in our community who might be able to assist.
  13. Yes, it appears much improved! The website is pleasant but enhancements to the navigation would be appreciated. It functions well on mobile, however, on desktop and tablet, the menu seems to cut out. It’s delightful to see us operating on a stunning OS.
  14. ????????????????????????
  15. Curtis Edwards seems to be a promising addition to the team. His thoughtful responses to the Notts County media team’s questions suggest that he is focused and determined. We need players who bring something unique to the table, and I am hopeful that he will work hard for us on the pitch.
  16. Wouldn’t it be fantastic to have a team filled with players like Matt Palmer? It’s great to see him back, focusing on his fitness and working towards rejoining the starting line-up. He exudes quality, so I’m eager to see Palmer back in the squad on match days.
  17. I came across a piece of information, possibly on Twitter, that Curtis Edwards had a stint with Woking while he was between clubs and looking for a league team. It’s likely that Ian Burchnall recommended him to Michael Doyle, or perhaps Edwards consulted with Burchnall who then suggested Doyle. Regardless, it’s all come full circle now and he’s here with us. At first glance, he seems more like a coach or fitness trainer than a footballer, but I’m not one to judge. It was just an initial impression when I saw his photo. I’m confident he’ll prove to be a quality addition.
  18. With those odds, I’m actually considering putting down a tenner. Anything more seems a bit steep, but those are decent odds for those who are game. I’ve got a strong hunch that the squad and Stuart Maynard will hit the mark in the upcoming season.
  19. Matt Palmer operates on a different level when it comes to his play. He’s always alert and seems to stay one step ahead of the game. Players with such mindset are sorely missed when they’re sidelined due to injury. Despite the setback, I’m just relieved it wasn’t career-ending. I’m certain that once he’s back in action, Palmer will be eager to pick up where he left off and make up for those months when he couldn’t kick a ball.
  20. This signing appears to be full of promise and a sturdy replacement for the recently left Jim O’Brien. It’s a fantastic addition and exactly what we require. His wealth of experience will be appreciated by our younger players, like Scott Robertson. It’s a practical signing that will bring a unique element to crucial matches. I’m eager to see him in action.
  21. @Wheelbarrow repair man @Robbie - At present, I feel England’s team lacks a sufficient number of experienced senior players who have participated in major tournaments. Over the past five to six years, we’ve seen an influx of exceptional talent, but previously, our midfield was filled with seasoned players. I don’t consider Declan Rice to be among these, despite his presence in the team. I’m referring to players of the calibre of Alan Shearer, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, and David Beckham. A large portion of our current squad still appears quite young and seems to struggle with the pressures they face. I understand they’re professionals, but so far, the only player who I believe has lived up to expectations is Cole Palmer, who made a notable cameo appearance. He seemed eager and unique, ready to work hard and create problems for the opposition. Jude Bellingham performed well in his debut match, but I felt he was largely absent in yesterday’s game. Phil Foden played better, but still not up to the level we anticipate. Maybe Harry Kane shouldn’t be the captain? I’m certain that someone more engaged and passionate could elevate the standards on the pitch, much like the retired players I mentioned did when they wore the captain’s armband. Declan Rice should be the captain, but having some of the world’s best players won’t matter unless they perform as a team. This is more quintessentially English than a fried breakfast.
  22. The statistics don’t surprise me. They indicate that we needed to become more robust, something that should have been prioritised earlier. In past seasons, the club seemed to believe that we could overcome challenges by focusing on attack and building a dominant team, which might have made things easier for the defence. Looking back, I wouldn’t alter much, as we might not have recruited players like Jodi Jones and Dan Crawley. Instead, we should have concentrated more on strengthening our defence. At least now, we’re assembling a formidable squad, which is a very positive development.
  23. Jason is a fantastic guy. He’s previously assisted PON and provided support to the manager. And yes, Jason is his actual name! The Morphus family are ardent supporters of Notts. His tweet is quite amusing!
  24. Starting with an away game against Tranmere could be tough, but I’m not overly concerned about the fixtures. My main focus is on returning to Meadow Lane. I’ll refrain from making further comments about the fixtures for now, as I anticipate there will be some changes and I’m interested to see how things will be rearranged. The unveiling of this season’s fixtures was somewhat underwhelming. The club could have created a buzz by inviting fans to Meadow Lane for the announcement, as they used to do in the past.
  25. It’s not always a guarantee of success. While having a talented team can increase the chances of winning, there are numerous factors that can complicate matters. Often, the greater the talent, the larger the ego. This seems to be a common issue in Brazil. However, I believe that sometimes, it’s essential to choose dependable team members in addition to the star players.
