  1. I believe it's free, with there being no mentioning of a charge. It would be poor on behalf of the club to spring a fee on people, though a donation wouldn't be as bad.
  2. I don’t think it’s something we need to worry too much about. Luke Williams and the coaching team will spend time watching the footage. We might finally start to improve from the aerial threat and our own mistakes, which would go a long way. I doubt any League Two team will be able to play like Stoke City did, and in the season we will be at full strength. I don’t know why anyone would worry. If we beat Forest, fans will soon start saying we’re going to win the league. I trust Williams and the coaching team, and the players also deserve to be supported, which is what I will do.
  3. If he does well, there’s a slim chance he may get noticed by England. More likely, he may declare himself available for the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Good luck to him. I would have stuck it out in England, but I wish him all the best with his career.
  4. That’s a very smart dog. It was great to see its reaction to the goal. Having a dog like this would make watching games from home a bit more special and fun.
  5. I’m considering it. I can’t say that I’m particularly bothered, but it’s nice to stay connected. I’ll see how things go and then decide, but I don’t really like Twitter all that much. It’s not because of the users, but more the site and app.
  6. What was on the menu, @Fan of Big Tone, and what is Mrs. Tone’s go-to beverage for a nice BBQ?
  7. Elon Musk will just threaten Mark Zuckerberg. This could drag on for years, and they both just need to do their own thing in the meantime. I can’t see it being settled quickly.
  8. I'm not particularly interested in this; it's just not my cup of tea. However, it's a nice idea. I hope to see the trophy at some point, but I'm not concerned about having a photo with it. I can see it being quite popular though.
  9. Well done to Jon Stead for being appointed as a coach. It should provide him with some good experience, and I think it should work out well.
  10. Shaun Derry comes and goes from Crystal Palace as if it were a hotel to him. I don’t blame him for what happened before. He is a coach who is respected by people aside from Patrick Vieira, and he is a good fit for their club.
  11. This is a great move for Archie Mair. I agree with others that he is still a few years away from playing regular football within a Football League team. It would be difficult for him to just step up, but this will allow him to bide his time and learn with a decent team. This experience will be valuable for him.
  12. There were some young fans near me, a group of about 7. They were all shouting at Aidan Stone, thinking it was funny to ask where his hands were and shouting that he wasn’t very good. It was very immature behaviour, but you get 16-year-olds like this in a group. I heard more encouragement than anything else, but the KOP was very silent. I don’t think there’s any need to be rude towards the players, especially the younger ones. They will beat themselves up over the slightest thing, so why be cruel or unkind?
  13. On Saturday, I went to see the friendly against Notts. On Sunday, I worked overtime and finished around 4 pm. Lately, all I seem to be doing is working. I have no complaints because I know that having a job is something I am fortunate to have.
  14. I have been very busy with work commitments, but I will be returning to this. I don’t want to say that I will have the next clue or round-up, then struggle to do it. Keep your eyes on this.
  15. The first squad didn’t really get going, but Macaulay Langstaff did well to score his chance. I think the midfield missed John Bostock and Jodi Jones, as Matt Palmer struggled to play his usual game. He wasn’t bad, he was just marked and pressed, which limited him and what he could do on the ball. I think the younger players in the defensive areas caused a lot of the problems, but it was nice to see them out there. I would have preferred to see Notts put out a stronger squad, then bring on the youths.
  16. This isn’t really newsworthy, as it doesn’t mention any changes or anything of interest to us. It’s just a press release promoting the partnership, and since I don’t drink at the ground, it doesn’t appeal to me for that reason either.
  17. The decision made by the FGR chairman is strange and one that he will be paying for. The club has become somewhat of a joke. Hiring Ian Burchnall, with Michael Doyle in League One, they needed someone with more experience and stronger leadership skills. I hate to say it, but they will be relegated if they don’t appoint a proper manager. I’m not being sexist, but if you’ve never managed before, you need to have something special about you. I don’t think this quality is found within but rather appointed.
  18. Welcome to PON, we are a very friendly community that loves talking Notts. Thanks for joining us, @rohan.
  19. Welcome to PON, @MagpieRob. Thanks for joining us, would you care to tell us something about yourself?
  20. Bless him, I think he’s led a sheltered life and probably has issues with his parents. We shouldn’t criticise him, his struggles are very real. He has my deepest sympathy.
  21. The home shirt is different but nice. I’m not sure I would buy it, but I do like it. The away shirt is just quality; I want to get that one.
  22. Yes, I think this is the best way forward. There’s a lot of unnecessary information in the programme, so reducing it will bring out the quality. I’m not sure Notts needs to see the programme as a profit-making venture, as I don’t think this is normal these days, but breaking even is important.
  23. I’m looking forward to the game, even though the sunshine has now disappeared. I think we’ll want to focus on our ball retention against Stoke City, while defensive threats will show how our existing players will cope. If we can play our passing football against them, I think they may struggle, but they do enjoy long throws and hoofing the ball.
