  1. Sorry, I'm out at the moment and wasn't able to reply until now. @Fozzy, I think you were on the right path. The player in question played far more than his brother and I think they would've played in the same side briefly. @Fan of Big Tone has guessed correct. ????????
  2. I am still undecided about this. I think he could do wonders for us, but the main issue is how he will fit into the team. I hope he proves to me that it was a good decision to bring him back and that we manage to keep Macca for the full season.
  3. Round 11 Clue; Who was the former footballer that played in the full back position and was a product of the youth system at Notts County where his older brother was already a first team regular? I have refrained from posting to allow @Fozzy the opportunity to regain his focus, as he was away enjoying the success of previous rounds. Good luck with your guesses.
  4. It must be hard for the players to respond to setbacks but good players do manage to find their way. Restarting his career again at Notts showed how much of a waste Oxford were to not make the most out of his services. I agree with @Chris that he’s a promotion hero. So glad he signed for us! Jodi Jones is a fantastic player and I’m glad he’s on our side now. He has a lot of potential and I’m excited to see what he can do. His dribbling skills are exceptional and he has the ability to beat defenders with ease. He has already shown glimpses of his talent this season and I think he will only get better as he settles into the team.
  5. Simply put, I would say something along the lines of: I am extremely proud of the work you have done for the club and the progress that has been made. Your approach, which balances statistics and analysis with passion and loyalty, has been instrumental in our success. I understand that changes are necessary for progress and I am grateful for the positive impact you have had on the club. You have shown a deep understanding and appreciation for the history and culture of Notts County. Our legends have played a significant role in shaping the club and it is clear that their contributions have not been forgotten. Thank you for your continued efforts towards embracing the unique identity of our club. I am confident that with your leadership, we will continue to achieve great things.
  6. Their league is ranked somewhere around 80th in the world - that says it all really! Most players who go there are taking a shot in the dark, hoping to elevate their status and have some glory days before moving on again. It never lasts and I doubt it ever will reach much higher levels of success or excitement - it’s just not a very interesting league to watch at all! Even when Ronaldo plays there, the overall standard of play is quite poor.
  7. This is great news for Jodi! He’s been a key player for us this season and deserves this opportunity. He has scored many goals and assisted his teammates with his creativity and vision. He has also shown great leadership and work ethic on and off the pitch. I’m delighted that he has been called up to the Malta national team and I hope he enjoys this experience.
  8. Everything is going very well, which makes me pleased but I do feel I could better support the gaffer who works tirelessly to provide the site. I eagerly await further updates, especially the PONcast.
  9. A detailed list of players from all walks of life in the Football League, gaffer! I wish Notts could sign Zac Williams - he’s going to be a big player in the Championship or even Premier League one day. Adam Senior and Tom James would be useful additions. I think the club will surprise people with lesser-known signings though. They have a lot of information at their disposal that we fans simply do not!
  10. Congratulations and good luck to Tiernan Brooks as he represents Ireland U21 in their friendlies in Austria!
  11. @DangerousSausage Yet, Boreham Wood could be much more than Dagenham & Redbridge, Stevenage and Morecambe started somewhere. I like seeing newer teams given a chance myself. Chesterfield sitting in the National League for a few seasons would be nice to see.
  12. Winning games is definitely going to attract younger fans, not to mention having players they can look up to. It's great to see that Notts is already making strides in this area.
  13. Once you've had a taste of the National League, it's hard not to follow it closely. I'm curious, which teams others are most hopeful about going up next season? Other than Boreham Wood.
  14. It's a shame when a signing doesn't work out, but it happens to the best of clubs. Hopefully Notts can learn from the mistake of signing players like this but good luck to him in the future.
  15. Great article by @Chris interviewing @Fan of Big Tone, its brilliant
  16. The description of Tony Hateley’s return to Meadow Lane gave me goosebumps. What an unforgettable moment that must have been for all the fans in attendance. To see their hero return to the club and lead them to success must have been an incredible experience.
  17. I believe Notts will do well because of the strength and unity of their squad. Luke Williams deserves recognition for his contributions to the team. I’d also like to thank Simon Clark for writing about this topic. It’s always inspiring to see teams bounce back after losing in the previous year’s final. It demonstrates their resilience and determination to come back even stronger and achieve success.
  18. Langstaff has truly been a phenomenal hero this season. He has scored some truly remarkable goals and has provided endless entertainment for all those watching. His performances have been nothing short of spectacular.
  19. Super Sam in middle of our goal! Happy to see him stay, he's a fantastic keeper and has a wealth of experience.
  20. Did you overlook the @ symbol as well? That should have prompted you to pay closer attention. I suspect you’re not being entirely truthful, @super_ram. I bet you skimmed over the clue. ????
  21. Rawlinson is a class act, both as a player and as a person. He’s always been loyal and dedicated to Notts and he deserves this reward. He’s been a key part of our success and I’m sure he’ll continue to be. He’s got the experience and the mentality to help us challenge for the title next season.
  22. I'm very disappointed in @super_ram. I gave him a clue very early on and he didn't bother to even have a go. The number of times he's asked if the player had any connection to Derby County... and when you say yes, he doesn't even have a go. Well done, @Fan of Big Tone. You've guessed correctly. @Fozzy needs to be careful! Points Table: @Fozzy - 4 @Fan of Big Tone - 3 @KB1862 - 1 @liampie- 1 @super_ram - 1 Right, now we’ve reached round 10. I’ll come back tomorrow to do round 11. When we get to round 20, I’ll throw in some trivia and see if anyone can gain some bonus points. There’s logic to my madness and madness to my mayhem. Make sure you keep an eye on this!
  23. This is brill news, isn't it? His know-how and spirit are spot on for moving things ahead. Well chuffed he's got a 2-year deal. Great news!
  24. @Fan of Big Tone Ha! Don’t take me too seriously. My comment was just a bit of tongue-in-cheek humour. There’s no harm in searching; I just like to make things a bit more challenging for myself! No, his career continued for almost another decade @Fozzy. ????????
