  1. I applaud Notts for their phenomenal performance. While Langstaff was the obvious star, I was equally impressed by the whole team's synergy and discipline on the pitch. The defence was a solid unit, and Brindley's return added strength and reliability we were looking for. It was a commendable team effort indeed.

In anticipation of the match against Tranmere Rovers, keeping our defensive formation steady and utilising the capability of Jones on the left flank will be key. Additionally, the prospect of introducing Nemane back into the line-up sounds promising. Winning consecutive games could be a massive boost for the team's morale, so fingers crossed!

  2. Macaulay Langstaff's successful first couple of FL goals have established him as a formidable presence on the field. His striker's mentality is clear, patient yet assertive, always seeking scoring opportunities. His affirmation about doing something right even without chances reflects his determined outlook. His unyielding confidence, even during tough times, is truly commendable. Langstaff embodies the qualities football requires: composed yet dynamic, patient yet relentlessly focused on improvement.

  3. Whilst I understand the frustration with not being able to retain a clean sheet, there shouldn’t be any negatives about this game. I am not suggesting fans shouldn’t discuss the goal or other matters, I don’t deem that to be negative. Yet saying we played poorly after winning 3-1 is baffling. I thought Notts grew into the game, they performed excellently as a team and we looked steady. At no point did I feel they would score, but they did. We have to accept that, mistakes will happen from time to time but provided we play well and work hard the points will keep coming. Have some faith.

  4. A big part of succeeding in football is about adapting to the different types of play one might be up against. One of the key factors that Luke Williams has discussed is teams playing a deep block against us. This is an inherently defensive strategy, suggesting that the opposition respects our attacking prowess. While it's a compliment in a sense, it also presents a new challenge for the team. Can we maintain our direct, attacking approach while still finding ways to unlock a staunch defence?

  5. I too believe that the team has a good chance to start the season with a win against Sutton United. Their lack of significant victories towards the end of the last season makes this a great opportunity for Notts County to get off to a positive start.

I'm particularly interested in the home game against Grimsby Town and how it pans out. Seeing how they ended our last season, the anticipation is indeed high, and I believe that Notts County won't disappoint

  6. Jim is a good player and I would rather see him retire on his own terms than allow some of the mindless people who supposedly support Notts to drive him out. I guarantee that Jim knows he’s supported by the majority of fans. As previously said, his fitness levels are insane and if he continues to push himself, why not give us another year? He can think about retirement at the end of the season. He’s got a job to do now and I want to see him give his all as he always does.
