  1. It will be a good trip, long but enjoyable for those that can make it. 3 wins in a row would be a big step up, I am expecting a draw but its good to see Notts doing better.
  2. It was poor, but I have seen worse in my years. I don't think falling into their trap and hoofing the ball helped at all. The new striker looked very ineffective,
  3. I think the players should be fine going into the game, what worries me is if Notts struggle to break down Swindon and then echos fall around the ground about the potential result at Macclesfield. This would add the pressure and nerves. I do think Notts will win, that is not a worry for me but I question if Cambridge has enough to win Macclesfield who will be fighting for their own lives.
  4. I am happy to support this @Chris.
  5. Notts need to play with confidence, if they struggle against Macclesfield I would worry. The squad are better but they don't play like it, they don't have the focus or drive to perform well within their own pride. I fear a loss.
  6. Notts needs to approach the game as if the match is as important as the Mansfield game, a good result is needed.
  7. I never know what to expect these days, with Neal Ardley coming in all I can say is that I am looking ahead to the performance and I hope the match officials don't spoil the game as they tend to do.
  8. I wished I had the faith that Notts could pull level, I think it would take something special to score. Mansfield have 5 in midfield and 3 at the back. This should leave plenty of space open but its them who are controlling the game now. The goal has given them the way to get on the front foot.
  9. Notts have been caught out but there is still something to be gotten from the game if they keep focused, if Mansfield scores again I fear that would be game over.
  10. Trust Notts to take a dead competition more seriously than the bread and butter.
  11. Notts can do well, it's away from home things have to improve more and I feel the first away with will show just how far the squad have come under Harry Kewell's guidance.
  12. Whatever Harry has done or said, he's got the players performing with a good level of confidence. His appointment has lifted almost everyone and a 3-1 home win is brilliant.
  13. A win about now would increase the form at a positive point, I don't know much about this Crewe side but as always I hope for that first league win.
  14. I am curious if he thinks this squad needs 6 months to be ready for competing because it seems poor to compare this squad to the Crawley one he managed.
  15. Model professional, I am sure he knows there's more than a defensive issue but I feel he knows confidence is a big thing throughout the squad.
  16. There's no need to rush Ben Hall into the squad with the new signings coming in, I hope they are available to start tomorrow. It could be the positive lift we need.
  17. 5-1 defeat. Rock bottom of the league, it's looking bad. Very bad.
  18. Fitness is a big issue right now for Notts, the players collapse. Either they are being worked too hard in training or the fitness staff need improving.
  19. Get to half time leading Notts, don't give a goal away.
  20. It would be interesting to see if Kewell fields a stronger squad than we think. He might mix it up by fielding some of the players he felt had a bad game this past Saturday with youngsters added or he may start those he felt did well and insert people to fix the bad performers. Everyone seems out of sync a little and others just have no form at all.
  21. I am disappointed Notts lost. Forest Green didn't look a very good team either but the difference between them and us is the fact that they played as a team. They attacked and defended as one, there was no player in their team who took it upon themselves to be the star player and I felt this is where Notts lacked. Some of the players held onto the ball or rushed their pass, just awful defending at the back again. Cry's heard from the stands about if Notts can have Kevin Nolan back.
  22. Notts have to win sooner or later but I am nervous about this happening during Steve Chettles temporary spell in charge. I would hate to see another Chris Kiwomya mistake.
  23. Despite the loss tonight I feel Kevin Nolan deserves time, I am convinced he will sort it and it just goes to show how fickle some fans can be when it comes to calling for a managers head.
  24. @Lozzle1 When you find out please do let me know, i cannot be bothered to listen to those that forget all the trouble dismissing managers for little reasoning. The same fans probably wanted Keith Curle out for his "boring football".
