  1. We often fall into the trap of blaming individual players instead of the team as a whole. Yes, Connell Rawlinson made a poor judgement early on and wasn’t in the best position when marking, but no one else had the foresight to cover the gap. This is something we should instruct our faster players to do. I also believe that Luke Williams recognises that Rawlinson has a role within our squad but should perhaps consider which teams he would be most effective against. Richard Brindley in the centre of the back three works well, but we need to practise for situations when the defence is split like this; someone else can provide cover.

  2. I don’t believe it’s a poor signing; he’ll outperform most players in this league and it’s up to Wrexham to integrate him effectively. I believe he would score goals in our team due to our ability to create chances, but will he fit into their setup? I believe so.

  3. I am pleased that we demonstrated the determination to equalise. We played some good football, and I thought our build-up play was a thousand times better than MK Dons. Their goal left me feeling disappointed because we failed to close what was a direct route to the goal. It certainly feels like we handed them the goal, but I am pleased to secure the point. Ideally, we would have closed the space and protected Aidan Stone, meaning our goal would have won the game, but it is what it is.

MK Dons had no chance of saving that shot from Kyle Cameron.

When defending, MK Dons will adopt a compact and organized strategy. This creates an opportunity for us to exploit the gaps in their defence through clever passes or powerful shots from outside the penalty area.

Teams like Doncaster had their better chances from distance, with Craig MacGillivray not looking particularly good from these types of strikes

I must say, @Chris called it spot on. Their keeper seems like a good shot-stopper but poor from a distance. Yes, Kyle’s effort was difficult to save, but we had a few chances which went wide that I felt they had no hope of saving had the ball been on target.

I can’t be the only fan who wishes Sky would choose a different game. Us vs Mansfield is always shown live. I understand the local derby element, but it’s become boring at this stage. They should show others with more priority than this, but they won’t. Thankfully, I will be at the live game.

It doesn’t bother me, but if I were at home, I think I would still want to see it if I couldn’t be at the game. I can see why some people might find it boring, but the game markets itself. Sky will be looking to attract casual football fans as well as fans of both teams who aren’t at the game.

  5. I don’t mind; I can see the logic behind Adam Chicksen starting, and I understand that other players have had to wait, so it makes sense for Adam Chicksen to be the player who starts. Personally, if Luke Williams has enough faith in Will Randall to start, then that’s fine. He may bring something that MK Dons haven’t prepared for, so there may be benefits to him starting. Like I said, I don’t mind. I’m just eager to see the players do well and protect our unbeaten run.

  6. MK Dons may be a difficult team to face, but I would rather play them now than before the Doncaster Rovers game. The players must fight and work hard to make sure something positive comes from the game. I don’t care about winning as such, provided the performance is good and we don’t lose.

  7. Ruben Rodrigues was hardly the best performer all the time. What he was, is a very good technical player that could produce some magic that could change the outcome. Oxford United fans need to be mindful of this and just support him. I would hate to see him end up like how Jodi Jones was treated. It was wasteful, but thankfully we captured the better player.

  8. It’s good to see Meadow Lane so busy, with the stands being so full. I do think the club is missing a trick by not trying to pack the family stands with free or cheap tickets, to get more younger supporters watching this Notts squad play. They will soon become fans of the future. If we can keep getting 10k, not only will it be good for the budget, but it will also show that we are not a small club like some other fans think.

  9. I am hoping for another home win for Notts, but maintaining our undefeated run is the most important thing. Accrington are familiar with League Two, but I doubt they know much about us. If they were to watch footage of our games, it would be difficult for them to devise a game plan to stop us from growing in confidence at home. Playing away would be more challenging because they will be accustomed to their pitch and Notts tends to start slowly, but at Meadow Lane we are surely the favourites.

  10. While Notts’ statistics may not be the most impressive, they are far from the worst. Some may complain that we play boring football, but the truth is that we are performing very well. Our style of play is largely responsible for our success, and there is no need for concern or fear. The statistics may be somewhat misleading and ultimately unimportant.
