  1. I sympathise with the England women's team; their performance was outstanding, and reaching the final demonstrates their significant progress. Spain's emergence as winners is unexpected; the pre-tournament favourites were Sweden and the US. The unfortunate consequence is that it exposes the absurdity of those who made sexist remarks, boasting about their superiority over the men's team. Drawing comparisons between the two is unnecessary; our focus should be on sheer pride.
  2. Well done to Langstaff for his performance. Great to hear he's not settling for less despite scoring twice. There's the fire in his belly we need for the upcoming games!
  3. The commentary on Radio Nottingham is satisfactory, although I do occasionally find myself missing Charlie Slater. However, the new voices on air have been a pleasant delight. With time and experience, Adam's skills behind the mic are likely to grow. It holds great significance for the club to have individuals like him engaging with fans, especially the younger generation who can look up to him and find a relatable figure. As for Dave, his seasoned professionalism shines through in the way he covers the matches.
  4. Hello, @zaradek. Welcome to the site.
  5. Hello, @JC1966. Welcome to the site.
  6. It's not just that Macaulay Langstaff finally notched up his first Football League goals, it's the manner in which he did it that's truly impressive. His unshakeable confidence, even when the pressure was on - from both his own expectations and those of the fans - shows a maturity that resonates with every football lover. Not many can handle that kind of pressure and still deliver top-notch performance. The team, too, deserves commendation for their resilience and adaptability, especially in absorbing new tactics involving set pieces. Their triumph is a brilliant collaboration of individual talents and unity.
  7. he fans are indeed the heartbeat of any club, and this is evident in these pictures. The happiness on everyone's faces is palpable, reflecting the unifying power of football.
  8. Williams' analysis provides a refreshing insight into the team's performance. His commendation of Langstaff's contribution and the recognition of all the players' efforts reflect his understanding and astute leadership.
  9. Anticipating an effortless match is unlikely, but I am confident that Notts will capitalize on the situation and build on the progress from previous games. Things are progressing, though I came across some fans on Facebook claiming our style of play is dull. Seriously? I thought our main focus was on making strides forward. This being our inaugural season, I hope the team performs well against Doncaster Rovers to silence those critics.
  10. The news about Langstaff is absolutely fantastic; he's a genuine threat and an incredibly promising player. His current lack of goals doesn't worry me; we're aware of his ability to score numerous goals, and his opportunities will arise. I'm genuinely thrilled to witness his extended commitment to Notts.
  11. I trust that Luke Williams achieves a well-deserved outcome for his diligent efforts, which also encompass the squad's contributions. Considering our ascent from the National League, one might expect some fans to exercise patience and refrain from premature judgments in the early stages of the season.
  12. John is displaying his seasoned insight here; he possesses a deep understanding of the football landscape, as evidenced by these remarks. Ideally, we can secure a solid standing and silence certain misguided supporters.

  14. Ahaha ha ha! It's very true though.
  15. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @helcat.
  16. Work on the defence and effective utilisation of our wingers could turn the tables for County next time. This was genuinely insightful!
  17. Not a result we would have wished for after such sustained pressure but let's not ignore the strides we're making. The game management was applaudable and had moments of brilliance like Jones volley hitting the bar.

  20. I also appreciate this video of Stall discussing the League Two season and sharing his views on the club. His insights are captivating, and I could listen to him all day.
  21. This is a fantastic video that truly gives me goosebumps. It’s wonderful to see the club acknowledging Jim in this manner.
  22. Owning a football club’s ground can have many benefits over leasing the land from the council. For one, it provides the club with greater control over the use and development of the ground. This can allow for more flexibility in terms of making improvements or renovations to the facilities, which can enhance the overall matchday experience for fans. In addition, owning the ground can provide a more stable and secure financial foundation for the club. Rather than having to pay rent to the council, the club can invest in its own infrastructure and generate revenue through various means such as ticket sales, merchandise, and concessions. This can help to ensure the long-term sustainability of the club and its operations. Owning a football club’s ground can provide many advantages over leasing from the council. It allows for greater control, flexibility, and financial stability, all of which are important factors in ensuring the success and longevity of a football club. I agree with @liampie, Notts should own the land. It offers more benefits than the exception of being worried about bad owners who may or may not want to sell the land.
  23. Echoing the sentiments of the Notts County captain Kyle Cameron, I have my fingers crossed for this season. This year, the team looks stronger and more determined than ever. With the right mix of ambition, teamwork, and persistence in our approach, I believe we can certainly make it among the top three. Yes, the challenge is real, but with challenges come opportunities - opportunities to outperform, grow, and show the world our grit and prowess. Looking forward to the kick-off.
  24. I believe it would be sensible to wait until at least 10 games have been played before reflecting on the difficulty of the league. However, I don’t disagree with Kyle Cameron and would actively encourage his ambitions, as these are qualities that drive a club forward. It may be challenging in League Two, given how many squads are strengthening and attempting to seize the opportunity for promotion to League One. I hope that we will be challenging for promotion by the time 15 games have been played. It would be incredible to harness the energy around the club to push us even further.
  25. I think we have players who can cause problems for other teams, but the main thing for me is to provide Macaulay Langstaff, or whoever else, with plenty of chances on goal. I do think Luke Williams is right about the way he’s going about things.
