Statement from the owners
I do think Notts shouldn't be a test case for proving sustainability. Owners of clubs have always been expected to either lend their money to a club to achieve more lucrative times by getting promotion or asking for third party investment into a club, or alternatively creating more shares & inviting investment that way. The owners are either trying to make the club sustainable because it makes good business sense or they don't have any spare cash to further fund the club. Quoting from @Wheelbarrow repair man post when the statement included "LESS RELIANT ON OWNER FUNDING AND TRADITIONAL INCOME STREAMS" it tells me that the transfer money is being used to fund wages, & off the field funding instead of being plowed back directly into buying players..

Statement from the owners
Jatta staying till end of June 2027, that's marvellous news. Although he could still be sold if the price is right in the January window. The extension clause invoked in his existing contract helps keep his value on the higher side. It's a win win for the Club.

Transfer Deadline Day
A dissapointing end to the transfer window for me. It seems every one including the Head Coach realised we needed strengthening in key areas, but the powers that be either didn't agree or there wasn't any money available that would have been needed to improve the squad.

Match Discussion: EFL Trophy - Lincoln City (A)
A good workout for the Notts fringe & leading Academy players. The result wasn't important but the performance from the players that are trying to force themselves into the first eleven is Some questions were answered tonight. I think Lucas Ness is worth a start instead of Aljofree. Mai Traoré in my opinion isn't good enough even at fringe player level. Iwunze looks as though he could be useful off the bench with some nice touches when he came on.

Curtis Edwards leaves
It was on the cards unfortunately when he was missing from tonight's lineup. Another player that didn't appear to be in Martin Paterson's plans.

Over Confidence Or?
I think that the right players were available but he Owners were unwilling to pay the price. It does appear to me, although I could be wrong, that most of the transfer profit is going on playing players & Coaches wages
