Could the Current Squad Compete in League One?
I agree with @theAnticlough that Notts will have to replace the vast majority of the squad over a period of time to just aim for a middle table side then they will have to push on again to build a side capable of challenging for promotion. There is a big divide opening up between League one and two. The current Notts players that could transition would be Alassana Jatta, Lewis Macari, Matty Platt, Jodi Jones & maybe Rod McDonald & Matt Palmer, but I'm struggling to think of anyone else other than the current loan players, Once Notts get promoted I think the summer period would see plenty of incomings and outgoings, even so, the way that Notts tend to spend their money, it is going to be probably a four to five year project before Notts would be ready to challenge for promotion to the Championship.

Are Two Strikers Better Than One?
I'm worried too @True Magpie if one or both of our two main strikers sustained an injury or got suspended. It would leave Notts very short of striking power. The positive thing on Saturday were Luker & Hall's performance in the 2nd half when they came on as substitutes, Luker creating three goals & Hall scoring two. But I do believe that Martin Paterson needs to be able to field an alternative recognised striker to replace Jatta or Dennis off the bench when required. I still believe that Traoré & Jarvis shouldn't be ruled out completely from coming good in the games ahead. I think that putting one of them on the bench, could still be a good move.

Mrs R has been busy today changing our house summer theme into an Autumn theme. We deck our living room and bedroom themes by the seasons & she has a Christmas theme too. The autumn theme includes a small Halloween theme too with immitation autumn leaves around both rooms. The pillow cases have a autumn theme too. It's something that we always look forward to when the seasons change.- Dickie Bird RIP

Wordle 1,557 4/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜🟨 ⬜🟩🟩⬜🟩 🟨🟩🟩⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩- Rod McDonald’s Form: Too Good to Drop?
Rod McDonald has done very well since he came in. Incidentally, this season he already has 2 PON Man of the Match awards to his name, so he has been recognised by PON members for his performances in the Notts defence. It is so important to have a mean defence in League 2 & I do think with the defensive players we have available, Notts are in a very good place. McDonald, Bedeau, Macari, Aljofree, Ness & Platt can only get better, and with Palmer, Robertson, Norburn, & Iorpenda in front of them the prospects for Notts are very encouraging. I think it will be difficult for Paterson to drop Rod the way he's playing right now- Who is your Man of the Match v Crawley?
The poll has now closed. Thanks to all the 63 PON members that voted.I am delighted to announce that for his absolutely outstanding display, Scott Robertson has been voted the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match against Crawley. Well done Scott. - Strands word game
