  2. Two players stood out for me. Samuels-Smith & Finneran. I'm going to give it to Finneran because when he came on he helped transform the team's performance in the 2nd half. And he scored a well taken goal too. His first for the Club.
  3. Some of my concerns. Listening to Martin's post Oxford presser. Martin still doesn't know what his strongest team is. He briefly mentioned the players that have left the club and the ones brought in this season. I think that was significant. When you look at the quality that left and what we have seen so far from the newbies. We are toothless upfront. The midfield can create all they want but if those upfront don't get into those positions to put the ball away you have a problem. Cooper went off injured at half time which is a concern. The changes at half time did make a difference, but when the chances come Notts have to put those chances away. It needs a strong side to play against Forest A on Tuesday in the Football League Trophy. We need a win against our neighbours to lift us all.
  4. Three League losses on the bounce for Notts today. Who's your Man of the Match for Notts today?
  5. Poor first half . Paterson got it wrong with his team selection today. Much better 2nd half. Our forward line is toothless. All the goals coming from midfield. I'm starting to get concerned. Three defeats on the bounce.
  6. Notts side against Oxford. McDonald back in the centre of defence. Sanders returns and is in the bench.

  12. It's positive that Notts had a welcome win against Grimsby Town in the Football League Trophy before the international break. Notts will be hoping to get back to back wins on Saturday. At the moment Oxford are in 10th place in League. One with 11points. They have won 3, drawn 2 & lost 1 of their 6 matches so far. Oxford United's style of play focuses on an attacking, high-intensity approach utilising a 4-2-3-1 or high-pressing formation, combined with wide play and transition-based attacking. Notts will be hoping that previously injured Max Sanders will return after completing 60 minutes of a practice match last week. His return would give Martin Paterson more options in midfield. All his players that were on international duty should return too. Notts currently stand in 20th place just above the relegation places so a win against Oxford would be very welcome. A decent crowd is expected so Notts should have plenty of support behind them. I'm going to go for a narrow Notts win on Saturday. I think that the players will have done lots of good work on the training ground during this extended break which will have put them in good stead going forward. My forecast will be a 2:1 win for Notts.
