  2. Third days play between Somerset & Notts resumes at 11am.
  3. Players come & players go. It has always been the case in the modern era. I'm sad to see players go. We've seen two big influential players leave, Didzy & Alex in the last few weeks. But we have to believe in the system & the way the Reedtz brothers are running the club. They, more than anyone else, will be aware which type of players the club needs at this time. I think we just need to have a little patience & let the powers that be at Notts do their job. I'm sure they are working tirelessly to improve the squad before the start of the season. Let's just see what transpires over the next four weeks & see who arrives at the Lane. There is still plenty of time for the owners & the management team to put things right.
  4. Wow, it was a very warm night. Ceiling fan on & two table fans on outside the bedroom door. Woke up to the news that Man City were knocked out of the Team World Cup by Al Hilal, a Saudi Arabian side 3:4 after extra time. Oh dear will City ever live it down? Will be watching some of the Brits at Wimbledon today on the TV. It's great that there is a choice of multiple games on the BBC I player.
  5. British Tennis players scheduled to play today.
  6. A good first day at Wimbledon for the Brits.

  11. The facts speak for themselves. Under the ownership of the Reedtz brothers, since our relegation to the NL, Notts have made the playoffs 5 times out of 6 seasons including a promotion. Notts are in very good hands & I for one trust that they will continue with the success they have achieved so far.
  12. Fast forward sixteen years on to the present & we have owners in the Reedtz brothers who are very savvy when it comes to Football economics.
  13. We have both stayed in today. It was just too hot outside. I've watered some of the plants this evening that were struggling. I've been watching a bit of Wimbledon today. It's been a fairly good day for the Brits in round one The temperature in our living room at this moment is 81.4 Deg F & that's the warmest we've known it at this time of night here. It's going to be very warm tonight🥵
  14. I think that he could be a very good signing for Notts. We shouldn't be surprised that the Notts management has gone for a young goalkeeper who has lots of potential. Notts are becoming the go to club for young football players with lots of potential. The owners are very good at finding talent around the league & abroad, so I have high hopes for Harry & wish him well. He will have some good experienced people at Notts who will be able to give him lots of good advice & teaching in the goalkeeping art. Hopefully Harry will be able to progress to being the Notts number one goalie one day, but even if he doesn't, the Notts management will ensure that he is either loaned out or sold for a profit.

  17. Thanks for your service to Notts Alex. We will miss you. Good luck at Peterborough. I trust that the Reedtz brothers will ensure that Notts get an able replacement. They might even get someone even better.
  18. @liampie Sam impressed the Reedtz brothers at the back end of last season when he assisted Maynard in his coaching duties. Sam has qualifications as a goalkeeping coach, & he is going for his UEFA A accreditation as a qualified coach. I'm not saying Notts should rely Sam as a goalkeeper because he has his coaching duties, but he is here & he's a competent experienced goalie. We have to trust the Owners judgement over Sam's appointment & their selling of Bass. I'm sure they have plans to replace Bass before the friendlies begin.
  19. Don't forget, Notts still have super Sam Slocombe & he has already said in his interview that he's still available to play in goal if needed.
  20. @Chris I'm sure that the owners along with their football management at Notts have a plan. I think we just have to trust them. They obviously thought that Bass could be sold for the right place & replaced maybe with a different kind of goalie. A goalie who can command his area and deal with crosses better.
  21. Alex did a good job for Notts but he did make some mistakes at times. Maybe selling him will be a blessing in disguise. Notts can sign a keeper that commands his area and is good at crosses & Corners where Notts conceded a lot of goals. I've given Harry his own thread so that he can be given a good welcome. Alex has gone, Harry is here.
