  1. Match about to start. Notts have lost the toss & Notts have been asked to bat first. Notts team 👇
  2. Your Thursday weather 4cast.
  3. Another good result for Notts Thursday evening. Crewe losing at home to Cheltenham 2-3. So here's the up to date table.
  4. Just listened to Stuart's pre Salford presser & George Abbott is in contention for selection for the match on Friday. Jodi is also in contention for the starting eleven. Abbott being fit to play is a big relief. Knowing how Stuart is cautious when players return from injury, Abbott may not start the game, but I hope he does on this occasion. Notts need to get the win & they should pull out all the stops to do so. Games are running out so Stuart needs to play the best eleven he can put out.
  5. Notts play their 2nd County Championship game of the season when they play Essex at Trent Bridge on Friday 11th April at 11am.
  6. Notts are away to Lincoln City Women on Sunday 13th April, Kick off 2pm.
  7. I don't read the Guardian, however, I must say that Alassana has been a revelation since he joined Notts. Partly thanks to him Notts are in a good position to win a playoff spot.
  8. Three points on Friday evening & Notts will be way on their way to a playoff place. Two wins & a draw should be enough. I hope that Abbott will be fit. Notts missed him against Colchester. I wouldn't play Jones from the start, I'd use if off the bench of required. I'd play the team that started at Colchester with Abbott coming in for Hinchy if he's fit. The match won't be easy but if Notts show plenty of energy & commitment they can get the positive result we all want.
  9. If you think that Easter Eggs are getting smaller they are. Why are Easter eggs shrinking and costing more? Rising cocoa costs: A major factor is the increased cost of cocoa, a key ingredient in chocolate, which has been driven by factors like weather patterns and global supply issues. Price increases across the supply chain are also playing a role. Companies try to absorb rising costs by reducing product size rather than raising prices directly. But it's the apparent underhanded way that they do this is the galling thing for lots of consumers. As an example A Twix white chocolate Easter egg at Tesco shrunk from 316g to 258g, while the price increased from £5 to £6. (Info from Google)
  10. Good Morning. It's a sunny morning here & I think it's going to be warmer today too. Out in the garden cutting the lawn & edges, plus doing some hoeing around the lawn. Mrs Bee came out of her hole to investigate.. We had just finished anyway so no head bopping from her this morning. Seems she's happy enough with what she saw. Time to put my feet up for an hour & check out social media.
  11. @super_ram This is the wage bill list for the Championship. Derby are down in 18th place. Noticed the three bottom clubs regarding wage expenditure are also the three at the bottom of the league https://www.capology.com/uk/championship/payrolls/
  12. According to Capology, the Magpies only have the 12th-highest payroll in League Two, with a weekly wage bill of £71,350 & an annual wage bill of £3,710,000, although it should be stressed that those figures are an estimate. Surprisingly, Carlisle are on top https://www.capology.com/uk/league-two/payrolls/
  13. If you're wondering which products are shrinking, our favourite snacks are among the worst hit. Consumer organisation Which? surveyed shoppers to find out which products have noticeably shrunk. They found that chocolate (50%), crisps (40%), biscuits (39%) and snack bars (35%) are the most common victims: For example a well-known brand of multi-packs of crisps has cut two bags of crisps from its 24-bag multi-packs, however it costs the same (Researched via Google).
  14. Here is your 4cast for Wednesday.
  15. Good news for Notts tonight. Chesterfield dropped points by drawing with Gillingham Up to date league 2 table
  16. No, I'm not getting ahead of myself in thinking that Notts might get promoted, we will find that out in due course. I'm wondering if Notts are totally ready to compete in League one if they are fortunate enough to go up. My big worry is that Notts have struggled to win against the top 12 sides in League 2 this season. I believe Notts have only won 3 of those games. Notts may manage to get promotion despite that record, but would they be ready to meet the tougher challenge of League 1? Promotion to League 1 will be a whole new ball game & a big step up in level. There will need to be a big recruitment drive for new players, & Notts may also need to sell on players from the current squad. Mansfield made a good start to the season but fell away, & subsequently struggled to get results in the middle third of the season, & even now their results haven't really improved. They should be safe though & finish just below mid table. If Notts do go up, & that's a big if, I think that the first season in League 1 would have be a season of consolidation. A mid table finish would be an excellent result for Notts.
