It’s that time of year again, with no actual football to be discussed something has to fill all the sports websites... But don’t fret you can keep tabs and discuss all the latest Notts rumours (*that are usually wrong) here.

So far we’ve had; McGoldrick to MK? Jatta to Bolton? And now Matthew Dennis to Notts?

Sources: Notts County set to beat Port Vale and Walsall to Carlisle United striker - medical booked

Matthew Dennis is on his way to Meadow Lane, with the Magpies fending off competition from League One and Two clubs

And rumours that Cal Roberts wants to come back.

Pictured in a MK Dons kit as well....seems like a wind up to me!!!!!

Dennis did play for MK Dons before signing for Carlisle, but yes could be a sign of poor journalism!

The return of Cal Roberts would be a too much of a risk for me. We know he is susceptible to injuries and whilst he had a very good season and scored 21 goals it was in the National League North. He's very skilful though but it's still hard to tell how he'd do in the EFL. And I would question where he fits in our current system, but that might be slightly tweaked under a new head coach.

Josh Hawkes has reportedly turned down a new deal at Tranmere and has followed Kci on Twitter. One we've been rumoured with

Now been confirmed that Hawkes is leaving Tranmere so he'll have a new club for next season, could it be us?

i miss when we was not always linked to the rumours, it was good when we signed someone out of the blue. people are catching on and even though a fair portion tends to be just the rumour mill. how the club managed to keep things quiet made things more exciting. i dont know much about this player, i dont really remember liking any of their players, but that does not mean he would not be good here. just as a team i thought tranmere was poor.

Chesterfield are in for Ryan Stirk from Walsall

Harrogate want to sign Tom Lees from Huddersfield

Now this would be a statement of intent

Ollie Norburn

Another central midfielder with a recent injury record?

And he's still going through rehab. Is this a click bait story?

Oliver Norburn could have been an interesting signing 2 to 3 years ago, but he's not a goalscorer, and his injury record is a concern. I think this is classic TLW clickbait.

I wouldn't think he'd be a goalscorer if he's a defensive midfielder who loves a tackle. Leadership qualities that we didn't have last season

Think we can do better to be honest. Recruit someone younger in this position
