Good morning everyone. Wev had noises here over the last few weeks at nighttime as the Council has been retarmacking the through road to our estate. First time it's been fully retarmacked in years. One of the roads connecting our village to the next village has been retarmacked too. It's about 2 miles long. It's nice to see fully retarmacked roads although they are not good for our cars. Lots of housing development going on in our adjoining village Clipstone at the moment. They've even built houses on the land where the Clipstone mine headstocks still stand. It's seems @Michael D Pie. that they want to build houses in any spare land that's going. Clipstone will be turning into a new Town at this rate.i despair at the amount of farmland that is being lost.

He played 68 times for Accrington Stanley in League One, 16 games for Swindon & 54 games for Salford, so he has plenty of experience in League One. Incidentally he has converted from being a forward to a left back. If the rumour is true and he is recruited, does it mean that Jodi will be leaving? We will know by 11 pm tonight.

A big welcome from me @Sid James Welcome to our friendly community.

I big welcome from me @Project Pie Welcome to PON

The poll has now closed. Thanks to all of you who voted. We have a tie for the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match award. Congratulations to Rory Finneran & Luka Smyth. Well done to both of them.

Even though we've signed a new Striker in Daniel Kanu, I would start with the team that started the 2nd half against Burton, curtoisy of Fotmob Team builder. My subs would be Kanu, Kouhyar, Grant, Samuels-Smith, Baker, Griffiths, Muir.

@Michael D Pie. A nice piece of summing up there. I agree that the signing of Daniel is potentially a one of the most important pieces of business of the summer and can I add along with Rory Finneran. This last 48 hours could potentially have made the season very exciting.

Another important point about Rory Finneran. I think he will be comfortable either as a central midfielder or an attacking midfielder. I think that Notts will possibly use him in those two stress of the pitch when required. Watching him on Saturday he seemed to be comfortable all over the pitch and his long balls and short passing was very accurate. I think that Martin Paterson will use him just as he did with Tom Iorpenda.

I think this could be a great signing for Notts. I think he will fit in very well to our style. He's a finisher & that's who we need to put away the chances our midfield and wingbacks can create. Not sure that Martin will start him in the first eleven against Doncaster but I wouldn't rule it out. One thing is for certain, it's made my Bank Holiday Monday even better with this news.

There has been lots of praise for Rory's performance on Saturday. He's certainly going to get marked very closely by Doncaster on Tuesday if he starts the game for Notts. It will be another test for him, but I think that he will be able to deal with it. He showed enough maturity beyond his years against Burton, that I'm confident that he can deal with any close attention. We will see.

We had a big electrical storm here last night. It lasted from 11pm to Midnight. Lightening, thunder and heavy rain. It does appear that summer is over for now, but you just never know. Next week we could be back to having plenty of sun once again.

Not a good start to the season for them. They have lost their first four league matches and are at the bottom of the League. Jatta just received a 5.9 rating from flash score for their latest game against Morelrense, which they lost 0:1.

There is a big rumour that he'll be signed by Notts in the next 24 hours. I won't believe it's true until we get an official announcement.

Notts travel to Doncaster for their first midweek league match of the season (19:45 Kick off), to renew their rivalry with Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday evening. Doncaster are yet to win this season having lost 1 & drawn 2 of their first 3 games so far. They are currently in 19th place in League 1. Doncaster finished in 14th place in League One last season. Their record was 17 wins, 9 draws & 20 defeats. They scored 50 goals & conceded 69. They had a reasonable end to the season winning 3, drawing 1 & losing 1 of their last 5 matches of the season. Doncaster have recruited 7 players during the summer transfer window Notts have a reasonably good recent record against Doncaster winning 2 drawing 1 & losing 1 in their 4 league games after Notts return to League 2.Notts will be on a high after their comeback win against Burton on Saturday. Head Coach Martin Paterson will be hoping for better news regarding those players who are currently out of the reckoning due to injury. Scott Robertson is the latest to join the list after being absent from the matchday squad on Saturday. I expect a very competitive match between these two teams on Tuesday. If Notts can continue to play with a high intensity & hard working approach, I think Notts can get a positive result here. I think it all depends how all the players have recovered from Saturday & who's available. Thoughts?
