  1. A dissapointing result for Notts tonight losing their unbeaten run to an improving Shrewsbury side under their new Head Coach. So who is your Notts player that was better than the rest. I have chosen the first eleven players for you to make your choice. Those players are, Belshaw, Macari, Platt, Bedeau, Tsaroulla, Norburn, Iorpenda, Jones, Grant, Tangen, Dennis
  2. Need to give the Shrewsbury HC credit for this result. He got his tactics absolutely right so fair play to him. It was like the Brackley match all over again. It's clear Notts have still not solved how to counter the aerial threat of teams, and we saw again tonight the packing of their defence by the opposition & trying to hit Notts on the break, & looking for Notts mistakes working for them. It's clear Tangen is a flair player, but it needed more physicality by Notts tonight. We have seen once again, like what happened under Maynard, that pretty football doesn't work all the time against those teams in League 2 that employ these tactics. We need to move on but try to learn from this defeat.& Notts need Jatta back asap otherwise we will suffer in his absence.
  3. It could have been worse but only Swindon and Chesterfield won in the top eight. Notts still eight points clear of eighth place.
  4. Full Time defeat for Notts on the road.Shrewsbury 1 Notts 0

  7. Notts team to play Shrewsbury.I think it's the first eleven I expected.
  8. Notts travel to Shrewsbury to play a side that has recently had a change of Head Coach. Gavin Cowan was appointed on the 29th January. In the four games that he's been in charge, they have won two, drawn one & lost one. Their last fixture was a good 3:1 win at home to Swindon. Shrewsbury have pulled clear of the bottom three & currently stand in 19th place on 29 points. Gavin Cowan was previously in charge of Brackley Town who beat Notts in the FA Cup first round earlier in the season. No match in League 2 is easy and this match for Notts will be no different. Robertson will be unavailable for Notts due to his red card against Bromley. Notts will be hoping for better news on the fitness of Striker Alassana Jatta & Club Captain Matt Palmer. I think Tom Iorpenda will probably partner Ollie Norburn in the centre of Midfield in the absence of Robertson, I expect Grant to retain his place alongside Tangen just behind either Dennis or Ndlovu upfront. I think one of the key areas will be upfront where Notts need to start taking the chances that they are creating. I also think that the midfield area will be important. Can Tangen come in and impose himself on the opposition? If Notts play well I think they can get a positive result.
  9. The Poll has closed. I'm pleased to announce that Jodi Jones is the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match V Bromley. Well done Jodi.

  15. After a night of reflection on the match, I believe that it was an excellent result for Notts. It kept them right up there & didn't allow Bromley to pull away which was very important. Swindon losing was an added benefit too. Working hard to grind out results like this one, even though Notts dominated the match for long periods especially in the 2nd half, is becoming part of the norm for this Notts squad this season. I felt that Notts dealt with Bromley's high energy & direct style of play very well. It was unfortunate that Notts conceded to a free kick into the box, but apart from the goal, Bromley were restricted in their overall threat. I'm sure that Martin Paterson is prepared for every game from here on in to be a battle. Victory isn't guaranteed in any of them. Notts need to play every game as if it's a cup final starting with a difficult trip to Shrewsbury on Tuesday.
  16. I thought this was a balanced summary of the game by a Bromley fan. 🚨THE VERDICT🚨 I deliver the FBWL post-match verdict following Bromley's 1-1 draw with promotion rivals Notts County. Bromley are now 13 games unbeaten and four points clear at the top of League Two.

  21. The Bromley Manager must have been watching a different match,. There was only one side that deserved more from the match and that was Notts.
  22. Excellent team performance against an inform team. Platt, Jones, Grant the pick of the bunch for me. Jodi gets my vote for getting back to near his best.
  23. A point for Notts against the league leaders. Keeps Notts in touch with the automatics & still a healthy gap to the team in eighth place. So who's your Man of the Match for Notts today? I have chosen the starting eleven. Those players are. Belshaw, Macari, Platt, Bedeau, Tsaroulla, Norburn, Robertson, Jones, Grant Iorpenda, Dennis.
