  1. Good Morning. Well it's raining again here after raining most of the night. Suspect there may be some flood alerts round the Country today. I think this could be one of the wettest years we have witnessed, especially in my area of Nottinghamshire. The growth of plants & trees this year in my garden has been phenomenal. The garden is so lush & green, We are even seeing early spring flowers getting confused & are shooting above the soil. A bout of frost will soon put their intentions to bed, but it just shows how unusual the weather has been. Or is it so unusual in this day and age? I think not.
  2. Looking at his record he's played for 8 different clubs but never played any matches for the ninth club, Forest. He was signed but immediately loaned out. He's played 62 times for the Korean national team and scored 19 goals.
  3. Kudos to Teversal FC for having such a great idea. I'm sure the away supporters appreciate it.
  4. Lots of common sense from Harry Redknapp.
  5. So Tuchel isn't starting the job of England Manager till January 2025. Who's going to lead England till then? England have two matches to play before then. Someone will have to pick a team & lead them into those games. This is very strange.
  6. Your Wednesday Morning Weather
  7. I'm surprised Tuchel didn't take the job. I think the Head Coach role at Man U might have suited him much better rather than the England role.
  8. I am surprised that he's been appointed because he doesn't seem the sort of chap that will accept being a yes man to the FA. I've read up on him, & he seems to be a strict disciplinarian & can be divisive too. I read in the spectator that he had bust ups with players & higher ups. So it will be interesting how the FA's relationship with him will develop & how the England players warm to him. There is no doubt that he is an excellent coach, & a successful one at that. He knows all the England players well, & will be familiar with many top players in the PL Now he's been chosen I think we need to all get behind him & give him a chance. World Cup qualification will be his focus, then hopefully winning the tournament.
  9. So the FA have got their man. Is Thomas Tuchel the right man to take England to the next level by winning an international trophy? Tuchel will have the choice of picking some of the biggest names in world football. Will he be able to hone them into a great team to take on the best in the World? The FA think so. Do you?
  10. There you go @Wheelbarrow repair man
  11. @Wheelbarrow repair man I think you'll most likely see McDonald coming on as a substitute, then start in the FA Cup, & EFL trophy match to build up his fitness before he makes a start in a league match.
  12. @Wheelbarrow repair man. Does that rule Ferguson out then as a possible returnee to the football Management fray? I thought maybe a temporary appointment as Director of Football would maybe suit Ferguson, to advise on recruitment.
  13. If a coach such as Luke Williams or Stuart Maynard have the chance to work with the best players in the land, whose to say that a coach such as those two couldn't manage England effectively. Gareth Southgate was relatively unknown as a Manager. The only Club side he managed were Middlesbrough for 3 years, before he managed the England under 21s after being out of football for four years after being sacked by Middlesbrough.
  14. @Wheelbarrow repair man Even though the defence have improved no end since last season, Notts are still conceding goals. If Stuart is seeking continuous improvement, it should follow that he will surely try to improve the defence even more. It could mean replacing Macari with McDonald seeing that McDonald is regarded as an excellent centre back.
  15. Heavy rain on its way for Wednesday
  16. @Wheelbarrow repair man Looks like our worse fears are going to be realised & the FA will probably pick a Manager, (Tuchel) who managed one of the "top six" clubs (Chelsea) for a 100 games. He had a good record at Chelsea, but it's a big club that can afford the best players. As I said earlier, are these managers that manage in the PL the best, or does it just seem that way?
  17. Robbie replied to gtownjohnno's topic in Match Talk
I have a side to play Alfreton. Bass, Cundy, McDonald, Ness Gordon, Hinchy, Palmer, Tsaroulla, Austin, Reynolds, Scott Subs, Macari, Cisse, Crowley, Jatta, Abbott, Slocombe, Brown.
  18. Good Morning. It's overcast weather here again this morning. Rain is in the air again and the light is very poor. Did you know that New York, US is on the same latitude as Madrid in Spain, that's 1200 miles south of where we are here. That's why New York is much brighter than here at this time of year. It is the reason why trees are so much colourful there in the fall than they are here.
