  1. @menzinhoJust clearly demonstrates that Stuart Maynard's concerns are truely justified, when he calls for more protection for his players.
  2. A the end of the day the goal was given. I think whether it was given or not doesn't detract from the chaos that a long throw like that can do to defences. Most defences just don't know how to deal with it because the trajectory of the ball from a throw in is different to a normal cross by kicking the ball.
  3. Nine players now on the treatment table as of 2/11/24. Jodi Jones. Out till at least January 25. Conor Grant. Out till at least January 25 Curtis Edwards. Out till at least January 25. Cedwyn Scott. Taking leave of Absence. Scott Robertson. Ankle injury Sam Austin. Calf muscle injury Dan Crowley. Minor Groin Injury. David McGoldrick. Undisclosed injury. Nick Tsaroulla. Undisclosed injury.
  4. Clocks go back in the United States this weekend, and they are also having a conversation about abolishing putting the clocks back.
  5. He has a remarkably long throw.. A long throw can be a valuable weapon, & this was proved for all to see when Huddersfield couldn't deal with it. It is so surprising that more teams don't use the tactic much more than what they do. Throughout football history, it has been shown to be very successful time & time again. Who can forget the long throw from Andy Legg in the Anglo Italian Cup final in 1995 that led to Tony Agana getting the first goal for Notts.
  6. Your Saturday Morning Weather
  7. Kameron Muir got his debut in the FA Cup at 15 years old when he came on late in the match.
  8. A good second half for Notts did the business tonight against a plucky Alfreton. I think Platt & Bedeau were solid in defence again, with Platt getting a goal too. Palmer & Abbott were industrious in midfield as ever. Martin had a good game again, & Jatta keeps rolling on with two well taken goals. But I am going to give my M of M to Jevani Brown who has his best game for Notts with two goals & two assists.
  9. These players are my shortlist for the Man of the Match v Alfreton. Platt, Bedeau, Palmer, Brown, Abbott, Jatta, & Martin
  10. Notts 4th & 5th goals scored by Brown tonight.
  11. Full Time. Notts 5 Alfreton 1 Jevani Brown, two goals and two assists will do him the power of good.
  12. PENALTY TO NOTTS. GOOOOOAAAAAL BROWN Notts 4 Alfreton 1 Mark Stallard: 'It was left footed and he went to the keeper's left and the keeper went the wrong one and Jevani Brown opens his Notts account. That's important for attacking players.' GOOOOOAAAAAL BROWN. Notts 5 Alfreton 1
  13. Jatta's second goal put through by a great pass by Brown.
  14. Jatta's first goal. A great move by Notts for their 2nd goal.
  15. Update. Substitutions for Notts
  16. GOOOOOAAAAAL JATTA. Notts 3 Alfreton 1 Mark Stallard: 'We were critical of the final pass in the first half but not in the second from Jevani Brown to play Jatta in.'
  17. Back to it. CMON U PIES!!!! GOOOOOAAAAAL JATTA Mark Stallard: 'It's not all about running around all evening, it's about can you make quick, accurate passes to open the defence up.'
  18. Platt's equalising goal.
  19. Half Time. Mark Stallard: 'Alfreton will consider themselves unlucky to be going in level at half time. They've had two chances and one of them they took. Notts have been kept to shots from distance.'
