  1. I'm sceptical of having an independent regulator. I'm afraid there is no such thing as an independent anything nowadays. People have opinions, so they are going to be for or against a particular thing. Even an independent regulator will favour the bigger clubs rather than the smaller ones, because at the end of the day money talks, & if you have the money it makes a club very powerful. As for the PL. There should be a salary & transfer cap. Each club should only be allowed two of the most expensive players, & their needs to be at least 6 home players on the field of play at any one time to help home players develop. This may reduce the standard in the PL but I think it needs to be done.
  2. Work to do in the 2nd half.
  3. The visitors double their lead.
  4. First goal to the visitors.
  5. This is how the Notts team line up today CMON U PIES!!!
  6. I've extended the poll to 6 pm on Monday 4th November to allow all members to vote.
  7. For me there have been four players that have stood out for Notts, Matty Platt, Dan Crowley, Alassana Jatta. & Jacob Bedeau Four other players warrant a mention, Alex Bass, Nick Tsaroulla, David McGoldrick & George Abbott My player of the season so far is Matty Platt not just for his consistent performances in defence, because he & his fellow defence men, have contributed to a vast improvement in the Notts defence since last season.

  9. Good Morning. A dreary overcast morning once again here. Bit chilly this morning too Now the clocks have gone back we will experience the twilight effect days like this until the beginning of March next year when things will hopefully brighten up. Did you know that the town of Bawtry was in Nottinghamshire before it was placed just inside Yorkshire before the Norman conquest? Bawtry was originally a Roman settlement on Ermine Street, located between Doncaster & Lincoln. A small settlement developed around a wharf, & evidence suggests that St Nicholas' Church was first erected during this period. Around 1200, a new town was developed next to the old village.Bawtry grew as a river port & commercial center, exporting wool & other items overseas by the mid-14th century. Bawtry town center has been designated a Conservation Area to protect its historic and architectural features.

  11. Another home tie would do against a non league side who would bring plenty of their fans to Meadow Lane

  13. It was a good result for Notts against a plucky Alfreton who's tactics worked in the first half very well. Stuart changed the Notts shape in the 2nd half & Notts took control of the game. Jatta is proving to be a fantastic signing for Notts, & he has clearly shown that he is a class player at this level. I think that the Notts defensive unit did well once again, & I'm particularly pleased with how Martin & particularly Brown are both improving in every game they play. Those two are going to be important to Notts especially while the injury list is so long. Hopefully, some of those injured players will have recovered for the match against Doncaster.
  14. Brilliant performance especially in the 2nd half after Stuart changed the shape. Really pleased that Brown seems to be coming good for Notts. If he keeps playing like this he may get an extended contract in January.
  15. A good win for the Under 18s today.
  16. Notts take on Sporting Khalsa at Coronation Park Eastwood on Sunday 3rd Nov at 14:00. It's the first time that Notts have reached the first round in their present form, so it's a great achievement. Sporting got promoted last season, so this will be a tough game for the Women against a team one step higher in the women's football pyramid. Sporting played Forest in a league match the other week & got hammered, so hopefully Notts will have a chance if they play to their absolute best on Sunday.
