  1. Thursday Morning Weather
  2. This match will be tough but Notts have shown some good form away from home since the start of the season and remain unbeaten. I think the difference between home & away is that teams tend to be more adventurous against Notts at their place, & this gives the Notts midfield & forwards more room to create clear cut chances. Stuart had some more encouraging news on Tuesday evening when Ness & particularly McDonald, played very well against Northampton. I see McDonald coming into the starting 11 at some point, maybe even at Chesterfield. I'd expect him to replace Macari if he did start Hopefully, the news about Didzy will be positive, & he will be available on Saturday, so if players are fit my team would be. Bass, McDonald, Platt, Bedeau, Gordon, Tsaroulla, Palmer, Jatta Robertson, Abbott, & Crowley Subs, Slocombe, Macari, Hinchy, Austin, McGoldrick, Cisse, Reynolds. I would be happy with a draw but I think Notts can steal a win here Final score 2:1 Notts or 1:1.
  3. I've extended the poll to 9pm on the 10th to give everyone a chance to vote
  4. Another great transformation under Stuart is that he is not afraid to give the Notts Academy youngsters an opportunity to shine. There were 10 Academy players in the squad against Northampton with 3 in the first 11, & there were 6 youngsters in the team all at once towards the end of the game I don't think it will be long before we see a few of them get on the bench for a league game.

  6. Welcome to our friendly PON community @Colcard
  7. Good afternoon. It was raining first thing this morning but it seems to have brightened up somewhat. The rain has stopped & it looks like we will get so bright intervals this afternoon Did some tidying up in the garden yesterday while there was a break in the rain. Managed to pull plenty of weeds out the ground. I also took down a small tree. The roots came out quite easily with the wet ground.
  8. The match was a good work out for those returning from injury, the squad players & our academy players. The first goal could have been easily avoided. Another distribution error from Slocombe, his pass putting a Notts player under pressure from the opposition press, then Notts quickly losing possession high up the field. We have seen that countless times last season with Slocombe. It does concern me if Bass becomes injured & Slocombe is the only alternative. And the second goal conceded, I think Bass might have saved it. We didn't have a goalkeeper on the subs bench. That was a little concerning. Would have thought Bass would have been on the bench.
  9. Don't forget. Poll closes at 9pm tonight. Please get your vote in.
  10. Match highlights. Notts v Northampton.
  11. This is so true. It's such a credit to the club that at one point, six academy players were on the pitch for Notts playing a senior match.

  13. I have voted for Rod McDonald who is a class act & played well again tonight. A close 2nd was Nick Tsaroulla who again was dangerous going forward. Third place Jack Hinchy for a good performance in the centre of midfield tonight. I thought Lucas Ness did well at the back in the first half, considering it was his first game for Notts. And a shout-out to all the youngsters tonight who aquited themselves very well especially Ryley Reynolds & Madou Cisse.
  14. Update after the Northampton match. Jodi Jones. Out till at least January 25. Curtis Edwards. Out till at least January 25. Conor Grant. Knee injury, six weeks out minimum David McGoldrick. Rested. Sore hamstrings. Cedwyn Scott. Felt something after the Gillingham match. Rested as a precaution.
  15. My shortlist for Man of the Match is:- Lucas Ness, Nick Tsaroulla, Ryley Reynolds, Jack Hinchy Rod McDonald, Madou Cisse
