  1. Substitution for Notts.
  2. Back to it. No changes.
  3. Half time Notts have had their chances & not taken them & find themselves behind at half time. Notts 0 Gills 1
  4. Gillingham get the breakthrough. Notts caught square. Notts 0 Gills 1
  5. Update Notts 0 Gills 0
  6. Update. Notts 0 Gills 0
  7. I always think that football people like Warnock, Big Sam & Steve have something to give to a Football club if each of them want to give something. I think Warnock or Big Sam are good at coming into a struggling club to try to turn things around on a temporary basis. I always thought that Steve Bruce retired too early, but does a football manager really retire? Not sure about that. Also the fee that the likes of Sam & Neil can expect will also be a factor on whether they take a job or not. I also think that Neil & Sam have along with a few others, become Mr fixers, who comes in to a club to try to save a club from relegation. It's a win win scenario for them. If they fail, they still get paid, if they save the club, I'm sure there's a bonus penned in their somewhere. These old type of Managers who want to be sole in charge are becoming smaller & smaller. When these two guys do decide to retire, I don't think we will see their like again. The new way is to have a Head Coach who just deals with the team. The organisation of a club is managed by others. I think the day of the old type Manager & Mr Fixers will disappear into the sunset.
  8. Big day for our skipper Matty Palmer.
  9. Notts team for the match against Gillingham today. No Jatta. On current form I think this team is our strongest side. Tsaroulla will probably be left wing back, Jones right wing back.
  10. Your Saturday Afternoon Weather
  11. I believe Bass, Platt Crowley, Jones, Jatta, Palmer & McGoldrick can be pivotal figures for Notts today. If those players can play at their best, I'm hoping Notts will get that important positive result today. Notts are due a win against Gillingham. This would be the day to do it. A big Notts crowd can be that 12th man today that can pull the players over the line.
  12. Good morning. It's overcast here & it looks like there has been a sprinkling of rain too. Looking forward to the match. It's the big one today. Hope Notts can put in a good performance. We are due to turn Gillingham over for once. It will be a good crowd today, & expectations will be high. If Notts can play at their best today, I'm sure that we'll see a positive result.

  14. Notts Women have a good chance of getting a win here. Worcester are one of the promoted teams from last season, & they will be one of Notts's targeted teams to beat.
  15. @Blake That's a poor show from teachers. They should be encouraging not punishing!
  16. This game is going to be big for both sides. Both Notts & Gillingham have had good starts to the season & will be both keen to continue their good runs. Notts can go into the game with lots of confidence. Since the teams last met Notts have improved considerably in defence & Gillingham the same in their attacking game. Key players for Notts will be Platt, Palmer, Crowley, Jones, Jatta & McGoldrick. It will be a close game with no quarter given. I believe it will be low scoring with the odd goal winning it. I'm confident that Notts will just edge it on Saturday. I say 2:1 Notts.
  17. It's good news that the injured players are close to returning back to the team. Stuart will manage their return in his own way & he will not rush things. I give Stuart lots of credit for how the team is playing. His methods are clearly working at this time & he must be highly delighted. Stuart will have to keep the players firmly focused on playing one game at a time, & to ensure that they keep their feet firmly on the ground. The players will know the significance of this game with Gillingham. What we do know, is that Stuart will have planned well, & will pick a team to specifically deal with the Gillingham threat. CMON U PIES.
  18. I think it is going to be very difficult to get a player to stay long enough at a club to break goalscoring records. I think Les Bradd's record will possibly never be broken. With agents ruling the roost nowadays & wanting to make their cut out of any transfer money, successful players will be under pressure from all sides to move to a bigger club. If Macca is still struggling at Xmas, I hope that Notts will phone Millwall & offer to take him on loan for the rest of the season, then negotiate a permanent transfer back to Notts. Then the record might be broken.
