Opposition View: Grimsby Town Fans Share Early Season Insights - Standout Players and Team Morale
Good interview @Chris I do like these views from the opposition. I think that the style of play that Grimsby use will suit Notts on Thursday evening. All games in league 2 are tough, & the game against Grimsby will be no different. They will most likely let Notts have all the possession and try to hit us on the break like most teams in this division do. I think Notts will have more space to exploit against Grimsby & hopefully with Palmer & Tsaroulla starting the match, Notts will prove to be too strong for them. Notts just need to tighten up in defence & Tsaroulla will help with that on the left hand side. 3:1 Notts for me.

David McGoldrick. 600 Appearances in all Competions
Listening to his interview, David has been working hard on his fitness to give himself the best possible chance to get a regular place in the first team. When he came on against Fleetwood, his skill on the ball changed the game by helping to get Tsaroulla in the penalty area to win a penalty for Notts. Didzy still has a big part to play for Notts this season, whether from the start of a match or from the bench.

We have an Asda within walking distance, but they've built a McDonald's in the car park, so there's a lot more traffic now and sometimes there's queuing to get out of the car park. It's easier to get in the Car & drive a couple of miles to the Tesco extra now.

The practice is not illegal but is the practice ethical? I'll stay well clear of anything like that. I would rather buy my goods from a source I can trust.

The Moment Matty Palmer made his Return.
@liampie I'd love Matty to start against Grimsby however, he may not yet be fully fit to complete a full game. I agree, when he came on he did make a difference.

Match Discussion: Game 3 - The Mariners (H)
Looking forward to the game at Meadow Lane on Thursday. I think the side that finished the game against Fleetwood pick themselves in my opinion. If fit, Palmer & Robertson have to start in Midfield & Tsaroulla has to start at left wing back. I would swap Scott for McGoldrick to partner Jatta up front. If fit after his bruising encounter against Fleetwood, I would allow Jones a free role on either the left, right or centre. I would keep Macari as right wing back as he did well against Fleetwood. Notts were quite pedestrian at times against Fleetwood so they need to speed up with movement in midfield & upfront against Grimsby. Notts need to cut out the sloppy defending & be a bit more clinical in attack. Converting chances into goals is the key. I'm hoping for that first win of the season on Thursday evening. I think Notts will win 3. A clean sheet would be ven better.

Tsaroulla has to be in the team to face Grimsby. It's a no brainer.- Bolton Wanderers B v Notts County B
Team news for the match this afternoon. Cisse, Sanderson & Reynolds feature in the team today. All three of these players are pushing for places in the Notts first team.- Bolton Wanderers B v Notts County B
The EFL Central League gets under way today with the Notts B team playing Bolton Wanderers B team. 14:00 kick off at the Bolton Wanderers Training Ground. CMON U PIES- Weekly chat 12th - 18th August
Autumnal feel to the weather in Mansfield today. Overcast with occasional rain showers. Cool for the time of year. Nothing really planned for the day as such. I've been taking a bit of a break from walking, to give the body a rest. Two young wood pigeons doing their courting ritual on our fence as I look out while writing this. Seen a few fresh mole mounds on the lawn too. There's always something different going off in our garden.- UK Weather Watch.
Weather for Tuesday Morning- Straight Red Cards For Serious Foul Play
If a player goes in to tackle a player & mistimes that tackle or purposely brings the player down & the referee gives a straight red card for serious foul play to the offending player. If as a result the player tackled is seriously injured, ie broken leg, broken ankle, ligament damage etc, with that player sidelined for a long period of time, the offending player needs a lengthy ban in my opinion. I think in such cases, the injury cannot be deemed accidental.- Cedwyn Scott on being No. 9
For me, Scott should be rested to the bench & McGoldrick has to start in partnership with Jatta, with Tsaroulla at left wing back. I'd give Jodi more of a roving role in midfield similar to Gibbs-White at Forest. I just think we need another striker with pace before the transfer window closes.- Welcome Beechams

Overcast day today. A little bit windy too. Went shopping this morning, to get milk and bread & a few other things. Finished up getting around 20 items I think that seems to happen to lots of customers. No wonder the supermarkets are making so much money. Out in the garden again this afternoon, doing some tidying up and watering. Think I'll watch a DVD tonight & put my feet up.- Straight Red Cards For Serious Foul Play
At the weekend Gateshead's Captain, Greg Olley was fouled by an opponent early in the match and sustained a broken leg. Thankfully medical teams were quick to intervene and Greg was given lengthy treatment on the pitch before being transported to hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, Greg will be out of action for the rest of the season & will need lengthy rehabilitation before returning sometime next season. The offending player received a straight Red card for dangerous foul play and will be probably suspended for 3 games. In my opinion if a player is seriously injured & that injury could be career defining due to serious foul play, the punishment for the offender that was sent off should be harsh. Not sure how long the suspension in these cases should be, but surely it should be at least a 10 to 15 game suspension. Incidentally, we saw the treatment that Jodi was getting on Sunday. Referees need to be protecting players much more from constant abuse too. Thoughts?- Notts County Welcomes Premier League Veteran Dan Gosling
His signing didn't work out very well though. He was a huge disappointment.- UK Weather Watch.

Not convinced that putting Scott on the left wing is a good thing. I don't think playing him there is playing to his strengths. - Match Discussion: Game 2 - The Fishermen (H)
