@liampie the new fella will possibly be on the bench. He's very versatile and could fit into several different positions, so he'll be very useful.T The only concern would be, can he cope with the physicality of league 2?

Looks to me that Stuart is putting lots of emphasis on to the defensive side of Notts's game. Notts will seemingly be well loaded in defense & defensive midfield areas. I wonder if Stuart is toying with having Jodi & Dan partnering as attacking midfielders, with players like Tsaroulla & Abbott on each flank, & Jatta upfront? Palmer & Edwards making up the rest of the midfield. The squad is strong with plenty of good cover to come on when needed. Just another striker needed if Notts can get one at this late stage

He is a tenacious player with good pace and skill on the ball, and can cover a lot of ground on the pitch. Notts could play him at right back, or defensive midfield. Looks like he's a versatile player. Spurs fans like him.

I'm really pleased with the players that the recruiters have managed to bring into the Club. I believe the squad has been strengthened by these signings too. I also believe that the Club made the right decision to release the players that they did apart from Macca of course. It is always sad to see so many players go, but they will always be remembered for what they did to get Notts back into the football league. I would like to see another striker come in before the transfer window closes & I pray that Jodi & Dan will stay As far as the match against Swindon is concerned, it's a good opportunity for Notts to get their first win of the season away. If Notts play as they did against Grimsby they should get that win. Keeping tight at the back is essential because Swindon cannot be underestimated. A 2:1 win would be great, a win & a clean sheet would be even better.

After British success in the Olympic games a few weeks ago, attention now turns to the Paris Paralympic Games. Team GB has had lots of success at past Paralympics & hopefully in Paris the team can do well again. There are 169 nations competing including a refugee team & a neutral NPA team. The games will include 549 events over 22 sports. Closing ceremony will be on the 8th September. This will be the thread to find news of British successes & to discuss them too. The opening ceremony begins tonight.

I think the offside trap had it's zenith in the 70s, 80, & 90s. Looking forward to the match. Notts need to carry on with the form they showed from the Grimsby match into the Swindon game. Showing good consistency is the key to success. The team that played Grimsby picks itself, however If Robertson isn't fit, Hinchy can replace him. Key areas for Notts, combatting crosses from corners, free kicks, & in open play from the flanks. Keep concentrating at the beginning of each half and in injury time of each half. Would be great to keep the unbeaten run going. I'm hoping for are 2:1 or 3:1 win. A clean sheet & a win would be even better.
