@StarkMallard If Bromley beat MK Dons they will be promoted. Only Cambridge & Notts could overtake them if they won all their remaining matches,. Cambridge play Notts so one or both of them will lose points, & Bromley still have to play Cambridge.

No doubt that this game is probably the most important game of the season for both sides. A win for Notts would put their promotion future in their own hands. Cambridge only need a draw because they have a game in hand over Notts. I think Notts will be hoping that Jodi Jones will be fit enough to return even if he starts on the bench. They will still be without striker Alassana Jatta who will be serving his 2nd game of a 3 game suspension. Some good news from Martin in his pre Cambridge presser, that he expects some of the injured players to return for this match. Cambridge have been very strong on the flanks this season & Notts have been vunerable from crosses, corners & free kicks into the box, so I think this will be a key area, & Notts will need to stay solid defensively. I think that striker Lee Ndlovu will start & Jayden Luker will replace Dennis for Notts, with Iorpenda in an attacking midfield position alongside Luker. Matt Palmer may partner Ollie Norburn in central midfield. Alternatively, Conor Grant may start ahead of Luker. I think it will be a very close contest befitting the importance of this game. Both sides won't want to give anything away, so it may not be the free flowing spectacle that everyone expects. The match could easily be decided by 1 goal either way. If Notts play at their best, they have a chance of getting the win.

Agree @StarkMallard I don't mind if Bromley win every game & win the league. At least it would help Notts if Notts can do the business themselves.

I think that Stuart Maynard has done very well & answered a lot of his critics by guiding York to 100 points & over 100 goals, with his York team playing attractive attacking football. York have the best attacking record & the 2nd best defensive record in the National League so far this season. That is a great statistic & hopefully Stuart & his team are going to top it all off with promotion to the football league.

I think there were some good performances especially in the first half. I thought Ndlovu did well with his hold up play. Norburn demonstrated that despite his disciplinary record, Notts need him in the centre of midfield. Luker did very well when he came on & he has to start at Cambridge. Grant did another great job doing what Grant does. But for his excellent all round performance, my Man of the Match is Lucas Ness. His goals were well taken & it is very encouraging to see that he is a danger to our opponents from set pieces into the box.

A very important & crucial win for Notts & with other results at the top of the league going for them, Notts find themselves in third place tonight.
