Teams like Oldham, Crewe, Grimsby Walsall & Barnet all have hopes of getting that 7th play off place. All will be highly motivated & they have games against teams in the top six. All those teams will have something to say where the current top six will finish. Notts need to take care of their own business. They need to forget the rest & concentrate on one match at a time starting against Newport on Monday.

Newport are fighting to avoid relegation to the National League. They currently stand 3rd from bottom in League 2 on 33 points just 1 point above a relegation place. Newport have won 9, drawn 7 & lost 25 of their 41 matches played so far. Newport's current form is mixed. Of their last 5 matches they have won 2 & lost 3. In their last 10 matches Newport has won 4, drawn 1 & lost 5 of those matches. They have scored 11 goals & conceded 12, having earned 13 points from a possible 30. Newport are going to make it hard for Notts, by sitting back & challenging Notts to break them down, hoping to hit Notts on the break. It's a tactic that lots of opponents employ when they visit ML. Newport will be scrapping & hustling for every ball as if their lives depended on it. Notts will have to be at their attacking best to break Newport down. With results going in favour of Notts on Friday, they remain in the promotion mix. A win against Newport could see them back into one of the promotion places. Lets hope that Head Coach Martin Paterson can work his magic on Monday & get ML rocking again.

There are a section of fans on X who have giving Tyrese a hard time tonight. I think we have to understand that young players do make mistakes from time to time & Tyrese has done well while at Notts. He's scored 7 goals for us from midfield, so he's contributed well & I think the lad should be given a break. With so many injuries, Notts will need all their fit first team players for the last 5 games of the regular season & maybe 3 playoff games. I'm sure Tyrese will have a big part to play in those games.

I'm going for Belshaw too. I think he made some vital saves & I think he deserved a clean sheet today for his efforts. I think he has a vital role to play in these last 5 games of the season.

What a crazy game that turned out to be. The game was heading for a 0:0 draw then all hell broke loose in the added time after 90 minutes. On the second half performance I thought Notts deserved a draw but it was not to be. So who is your Notts Man of the Match today I have chosen the starting eleven for you to make your choice. @menzinho I was gutted when the final whistle went, but the other results have again helped Notts. We still have all to play for. A win against Newport would be massive for us. MK Dons away at Oldham, Cambridge away at Cheltenham, Salford away at Crewe, Swindon at home to Walsall & Cambridge away at Cheltenham on Monday.

Our injuries are hurting us. Notts continue to have problems from corners and free kicks into the box, but Bromley & MK Dons drew, we are still in fourth place. We are nine points ahead of the team in eighth place. We will go again on Monday against Newport at ML.
