Match Discussion: Game 46 - The Green (A)
Robbie I said that Macca and Cedwyn should have started the Colchester game up front and see how that went. At the least Ceds should have had some game time today. Maynard is he a Glutton for Punishment? He must have known that that kind of Performance is Going To Rankle Fans, does he Enjoy getting Abuse from Fans on Social Media? You know it's going to be coming with Venom, what is up with the Bloke? After clawing back some sort of Dignity and Respect from Fans the Magpies turn in a Display like that. How many better players are going to attracted to the Club with a Dithering undecisive Head Coach in the Dug Out? Let's hope Notts can hold onto Jim O'Brien because if the Magpies don't get off to a Decent Start, next season Jim could find himself back in charge as interim Boss again.

Congratulations Derby County
YES WELL DONE DERBY COUNTY Like to think my Dear Old Dad was looking down at the Lads who have taken the RAMS BACK TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP. Celebrate this Great Occasion super_ram Notts Fans celebrated last season Now it's your turn. If you drink have one for me!

Match Discussion: Game 46 - The Green (A)
PATHETIC CAN'T EVEN BEAT THE TEAM AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LEAGUE. One Striker up front Again. Seriously Maynard brings the Fans Wrath Down upon his Own Head with his choices. From an Off Season where there could have been plenty of Hope for the Club at the beginning of 2024/2025 for the Next three months there's only going to be Negative response from the Fans and Fresh Calls for Stuart Maynard's head and how much Longer is the "Model" game plan going to be played, until it's realised it doesn't work in League 2? There's going to be Massive Questions asked in this coming off Season and if they're Not Answered there is going to be an Exodus of Fans from the Lane. At Least the RAMS WON and are Promoted back to The Championship. Happy For You Super Ram at Least you have something to Celebrate Good on Yer.

Jokers Wild: Joke Of The Day.
There's a Couple of Brothers I know who have a Prize Bull and they hire out the Bull to service Cows all over the Country and they make thousands of Pounds at it. Anyway I met them in the Pub the other week looking a bit worried What's up Lads ? I asked. It's the Bull it's got a problem like blokes who have Brewers droop. So we've had to get the Vet in. £500 it's cost for these special pills. Well a few days later I was back in the Pub chatting to the Landlord. I asked him about the Brother's Bull. Did the Pills cure the Bulls Problem? Oh aye says the Landlord the Boys gave the Bull four tablets and that very afternoon it goes out and services 27 cows. 27 Cows I said I wonder what's in them pills? I don't know replied the Landlord But They Taste Of Peppermint.

A Premier League Referee is being investigated by Nothing. Sorry a Premier League Referee is being investigated by the FA. What three words do you Not want to hear when you make Love? Darling I'm Home. All the Children in my Friends Family are named after Saints. He's David and his two brothers are named George and Andrew. And he has a Sister Pancake Day.

Jokers Wild: Joke Of The Day.
If there was a vote on who would win the contest of the World's Best Religious Leader? I'd have a fiver on the Dalia Lama if I was a Tibetan Man. Then there was the Bloke who played the Piano on a Platform in a Railway Station. After he'd finished, I had a little Tinkle on it myself and saved 30p. I was once asked if I was a Considerate Lover? I replied Yes I always lift my feet up when the Wife's hoovering.

Jodi is there Hope?
After listening to Jodi's interview on the BBC 's Notts County Sport on line section. Is there still hope that the Malta International will still be at Meadow Lane Next Season? Listening to the conversation Jodi had with the BBC interviewer his words must bring hope to all Magpie Fans. I Love It Here. Notts gave me the chance when others wouldn't. Took me away from the Bad Place I was and I'll Always Respect That. That sounds like he wants to remain a Magpie for 2024/2025. If he does the first thing for Chris & Alex to do is offer the Lad an extended contract along side that of Macca, but that's something our Owners will know with out me telling them. To hold onto Jodi will certainly Bolster Notts chances of challenging for a playoff spot if not Automatic Promotion next season and will give Fans Hope and something to Cheer About.

Goodbye Jim?
While I Know Football League World is classed as Gutter Press. There was a photo of Jim's statement from his Social Media Page, which read Well this Looks like It. Thankyou and Goodbye. I think that Jim will call it Quits and step away from playing altogether, there's No Point in thinking Well maybe One more Season, taking that sort of attitude will only give the impression of indecision and that in my opinion isn't Jim's way. Chris I'm also hopeful as you have stated Notts offer Jim more that Sheffield United Do in terms of Coaching advancement, he has Immense respect from the players which I am sure Jim returns that respect and who's Not to Say one day he could end up Managing the Magpies?

Jokers Wild: Joke Of The Day.
Walking round B & Q there was a big Orange sign which said Stainless Steel Sinks. I thought yeah I know it does. My Mates wife had a Bluebird tattooed on her shoulder when she was in her 20's. Now she's in her 60's It looks like a Vulture. I used to be a Human Cannon Ball in a Circus. £120 a week plus a bit of Travel Money. My youngest Son comes in the front room and says Dad there's a bloke with a Bald Head at the Door. I said Tell him I've already got one.

Macca to the Red Dragons?
I didn't know if to put this in the Joke of the Day section of the PON site, or on here. But it seems Wrexham are going to have competition signing Notts County's £340 K rated striker Macauley Langstaff . Who writes this Stuff? That comment is about as funny as New BBC Comedy show. It comes from a on line site called the Real EFL. It's about as real as Rocking Horse Poop. If the Author of this piece had done any research they would know the Price being banded about for Macca this season is £1.5 million and that's an insult. I hope the writer isn't getting paid for that story, if they are they should be wearing a Mask and Hooped Shirt.

Match Discussion: Game 46 - The Green (A)
As this is the final Game of the season perhaps it's time to give a couple of Notts youngsters a chance of minutes on the pitch. Also start Cedwyn Scott from the off along side Macca. Hopefully Macca can score a Brace to push him past the 30 goal in a season mark. Final score Forest Green 0-3 Notts.

Macca to the Red Dragons?
Well it seems Wales on line has also swallowed the Clickbait has they have run a Story along the same lines. The thing is Wrexham have ambition and money to make a strong push for the Championship or even the Premier League. Another thing which makes people think Macca wont go to the Red Dragons is Paul Mullin stating he and Macca play a similar Role however Macca played a different role at Gateshead and it was Luke Williams who changed Macca's and Ceds roles around at Notts. Another big plus is the fact Macca (27) is two years younger than Mullin (29) and when a out field player hits 30 his chances playing in the Championship and Premier ( if he's not playing there already) can drop rapidly. An example is Jamie Vardy at Leicester if they get promoted back to the Premiership next season he isn't going to be a regular first team player is he? If the current Wrexham owners are happy enough to pour money into the club and their success continues with further Promotions should Macca join them he could be playing Premier League Football in three years. But when it's all said and done I think Macca might still end up in Wales but with Luke Williams at Swansea and if Williams can convince the Swans Owners I wouldn't be surprised to see Jodi go there as well.

Jokers Wild: Joke Of The Day.
I used to race Pigeons. But got fed up of always being beaten. I was saw this bloke on the rifle range at a Fun Fair. His first shot took the head of a Teddy Bear his second shot smashed a load of plates . Ok said the Stall owner Put the Gun down and you can have any prize in booth. The guy looks at the Stall owner and says I'll have one of those Moving Tin Ducks. I'm not saying my Wife's a bad cook. But Flies don't buzz around our Dust Bin. They lean on it and Moan.

Macca to the Red Dragons?
I have stated in a couple of comments on PON that I had a Horrible Nagging feeling at the back of my mind that Wrexham might put in a Bid for Macca once the Summer Transfer window opens. Imagine to my Horror that Wrexham (along Bolton and Peterborough) are thinking of making such a Move. The story comes from the Football League World on line. Is it True or Just Paper Talk? Would Notts let Macca go to Wales if the price was right or wait for a better bid from a Championship Club? Or hold onto him with the hope his goals will get the Magpies into League 1 next season? It's going to be one Hell of an Off Season. Macca to Wrexham me and my Big Mouth !!

Jokers Wild: Joke Of The Day.
So I rang up the Spiritual leader of Tibet and a fortnight later a goat with a long neck arrived for me. Apparently I'd called Dial a Lamar. Have you ever heard of Spoonerisms? That 's when you take the first letter of somebody's name and change it with the First letter of their last name. Like Nottingham's famous son Robin Hood, becomes Hobin Rood, Little John becomes Jittle Lohn and Will Scarlet is Sill Wcarlet, mind you you'll have to be careful with Friar Tuck. I saw a small ad in the local paper it said Ugly Fat Bloke Seeks Super Model with a Sense of Humour.

Goodbye Jim?
Going over some of Jim's past remarks there could be a position within the Club for him perhaps in the Academy? In one interview Jim said that he's changed his attitude towards some young players instead of screaming at them he puts his arm around the players shoulder and gets the way he wants them to play in a more calmer way. There are No doubt certain players understand things better if they're put to them in a forceful way while others need to be coaxed. Man Management Skills. I think Jim learned a lot from Luke Williams when he was at the Lane and what is the Best way to encourage players to play a certain way. Because when Jim took over the Head Coach job he assured the Media that Nothing had changed and the day to day training programmes remained the same, and in his interviews several times Williams stated he had Great Admiration and Respect for Jim and stated he was a Big Help in the Dressing room. The only Black Cloud on the Horizon, is the fact Jim is already coaching in some capacity at Sheffield United and as been for a while so could Jim end up with the Blades rather than at the Lane?

Centre Backs for Notts this summer?
Ohh Tommy Johnson I'm not so sure even if we lose Macca Jodi and Dan that the style of play will change because it seems the "Model" will remain in place because it worked in the NL so it'll work in League 2, even if it Doesn't being Stubborn and Reluctant to Change things around could prove costly for Notts next season. Continual interference from upstairs certainly wont help Stuart Maynard. Trouble is Robbie if we lose Jatta to injury (as is the case at the moment) that outlet is closed. Could Scott take that role? I don't know because I don't know how tall he is, he's not as tall as AJ but I think he's bigger than Macca. Finally I refer back to the excellent topic Retain Release Sell Keep by ARLukomski regarding Notts and I'll say I agree with him Notts need to be Brutal in the Summer there really needs to be a Massive clear out because it's been painstakingly obvious a huge section of the current Magpies Squad is Not League 2 Standard. And just because one or two players have performed "better" in their past few games doesn't mean they should be kept, their whole season performances need to be looked at. Because if players are retained that aren't good enough then Notts are Going To Struggle. We the Fans are Aware of this lets just hope the Powers That Be are aware of it also.

Goodbye Jim?
Robbie Before the arrival of Stuart Maynard Jim as we know was in charge for the one game which ended in a 5 all draw. And in one of his pre match interviews he told of all the players calling him Gaffer which shows the type of Respect Jim as from his fellow players. It certainly would have been Interesting to say the least if Jim had been offered the Head Coaches Job till the end of the season. Would the Magpies final League position have been higher than their current position? We'll Never Know. One comment which made me smile when Jim was appointed Head Coach was Hire Jim he'll get the JOB Done. Very Clever that. Lets just hope the Club offers him a coaching position and Jim accepts it.
-
Goodbye Jim?
You Ain't Wrong Fan of Big Tone. The word Legend is banded about a little to Freely nowadays, but in Jim's case it certainly is Appropriate.
-
Centre Backs for Notts this summer?
Have I read that right Robbie, if the Club wants to bring in better players the answer to that question is No ? That all rather confusing really.
-
Goodbye Jim?
Ohh Tommy Jim has said on a Social Media Post Well this looks like it. Thankyou and Goodbye. (Source Football League World) So that sort of gives the hint Jim's footballing career is Finished at the Lane. Plus his Standing Ovation at the Lane last Saturday, it would seem all that's left is confirmation from the Club. Robbie at 36 Jim is considered Old from a Footballing pointing of view and I don't think hanging on for another year at Notts only playing the Odd game or Odd minutes here and there is the way Jim will be wanted to remembered. He did his bit against Colchester and was awarded the Man of the Match for his Warrior type play, it's Hard for anyone to say that's it But let's remember Jim as a Battler rather than someone who just mooches around the Lane hoping to get a game now and again. Like I've said Jim needs to be kept at the Lane in some sort of position and I totally agree with you he'll end up in the Big Chair one day, in Charge of his own Team.
