  1. Well it's begun after the Shoddy Performance today there are a lot of Magpie Fans Threatening Not to Renew Their Season Tickets for Next Season, if Maynard is still at the Helm down the Lane for the Start of Next Season. It may be a Trickle at First but It could Turn into a Flood. I sincerely hope the Brothers and anyone else who had a Hand in Hiring Stuart Maynard realise their Mistake, and have the Honour to admit it and put their Mistake Right.
  2. Can you Honestly see Notts getting a Result Monday Robbie? I can't the Atmosphere is going to be TOXIC really the only thing Maynard can Do Now is to Fall On His Sword (as the saying goes) and WALK. Because Notts Fans will make their Feelings Known, but Not Only is Maynard going to get Stick certain players will also feel the Fans Wrath. And as if stated on other Platforms the Coach has Lost the Dressing Room and players don't want to play for him that really is The End. For these last few games, put Jim O'Brien back in the Dug Out (if he wants to of course) the players respect Jim and under his leadership they might Put In Some Kind Of Performance and if Notts go down at Least hopefully they'll go down Fighting.
  3. IT was said by Oliver Cromwell to Parliament and I'll say it to Stuart Maynard. IN THE NAME OF GOD GO.
  4. It all Depends how the Magpies fair at Swindon. However even if Notts do manage to grab all three points against the Robins, I think it will take a Huge Effort to get any sort of result versus MK Dons. Notts 0-3 MK Dons. Always Happy to be Proven Wrong.
  5. This Chap rings his employer up and says Boss I can't come in today I'm full of Cold. You have to replies his Boss we need to get this order out on time and I need everybody here. But I do feel lousy Boss. Do you know what I do when I'm not very Well? I get hold of my wife and give her a Good Seeing Too. Try that. Ok Boss I'll give it ago. Just at the end of the Dinner Hour the Bloke who's ill manages to stagger into work. Great You Made it say s the Boss, You Did What I told you to Do then. I certainly did Boss, and can I just say You've Got A Lovely House.
  6. Robbie Lets hope somebody or someone has brought this to the Attention of the Brothers and the Head of Recruitment and they finally come to realise that things at the Lane need to change and change Quickly or that table may be a Prediction of the way things will be at the end of 2024/2025 season for Notts County..
  7. I hope you're wrong Robbie regarding Maynard swapping things around over the Weekend, that's all well and Good but if Notts Do pull off a Victory at Swindon and he changes the line up Monday and the Magpies Lose, All Hell Wil Break Loose. He's on a Hiding to Nothing realistically only Two Victories will ease the pressure on Maynard and his coaching Staff.
  8. Ohh Tommy Johnson that's basically what I meant someone to come on here as a member or incognito and then Report Back. My Bad.
  9. We've gone over this question and others similar to it time after time and we all have our opinions and what we consider what is Wrong at the Lane and how it should be put Right. But the Final Decisions will be made by Chris & Alex and possibly other Board Members. Will Stuart Maynard Stay or Will he Go? Will Macca Jodi and Dan Crowley be Sold? Will Players not up to League 2 standard be Released from their Contracts? Will a Director of Football be appointed next season? I would hope that all of these questions and Decisions are already being sorted behind the Scenes. Do you know what would be a Good Thing? If someone at the Club came on to this site and read Real Fans views and what their worries are regarding the Club. Because as I read comments on PON by my fellow Magpie fans it's clear they only want what's Best for Notts County Football Club and if their words were to get back to the Owners it would give them pause for thought.
  10. Well I certainly hope Notts can get some sort of a Result Tomorrow, because in all honesty I can't see the Magpies getting anything against MK Dons and Maynard's first Home Win will go on another week. I'd be more than Pleased to be Proven Wrong.
  11. I was chatting to a Mate the other day and he seemed a bit worried I've got this problem, I've got this Rash up the inside of both my thighs and it goes up around me Private Parts. Have you shown a your Doctor? Yes What did he say? Ring the Surgery for an appointment next Thursday. Then he carried on Shopping with his Wife.
  12. I was in the kitchen the other morning and a found a piece of folded paper on the Kitchen table. I opened it up and read Mop floor cleaner washing up liquid soft cloth and sponge . I thought bloody hell it's the wife's Bucket List
  13. I went with my mate to a Bunjee Jump for Charity, one chap there was Blind and he was going to jump! How brave is that? The thing is have you ever heard a Labrador Scream? Two Caterpillar's walking along a cabbage leaf and a Butterfly go's past. One Caterpillar says to the other You'd Never Get Me Up in one of those things. Then there was the Slug who got Mugged by two snails. The Police asked him what happened? To which the Slug replied I don't know it was all over so quickly. I went to the Vet and said I'm worried about my Cat. Is it a Tom? asked the Vet. No I've brought it with me.
  14. I would hope Joshua that even now the Brothers and whoever else has a say in how the Club is run have already made Major Decisions regarding next season, and those decisions will be put into Force as soon as the end of the season arrives. Sticking with Stuart Maynard may proved to be a huge stumbling block because with foresight it's clear to most that he's Not Ready for the Step up he maybe a good coach at NL level, but here at Notts No. He needs time to adjust to being a Full Time Head Coach and unfortunately time is one thing he hasn't got at the Lane. Because not only did the Williams era bring success. it also brought a Massive Problem when Williams moved on and the appointment of a Head Coach with League 2 know how, is required for next season. Maybe appointing Jim O'Brien to till the end of the season would have been a better choice because he had the Full Respect of the Players and Fans alike and he knew Williams game plan. Williams was also full of praise for JOB during interviews and also had Great Respect for the guy, stating several times how helpful Jim was with the Players both established Team members and the Youth players.
  15. I'd keep Jatta and Macca up front because seems that Didzy isn't yet up to full fitness so having him on the bench ready to come on would be a better choice. With Jodi on the Left and Nemane and Crowley on the right as I think those two play together well, where as Jodi and Crowley don't Gel when playing on the right as other people on this site have stated.
  16. The wife comes down the stairs and says Look what I found in the wardrobe, I wore this on our first ever date and it's still fits. I looked at her and said Sweetheart it's a Scarf. Why is it the wife always asks you things you've got No Answer for. Take the other day she walks into the Kitchen while I'm having me Breakfast, Look at me, Just Look at me. What's up? I ask I'm only having a Fat Ugly Day. What do you say? Well Don't Go Out Then.
  17. What's interesting is reading posts by Swindon Fans it seems their defence is worst than Notts, now that takes a lot of doing. If that is the case then the Magpies need to come of the Traps at full speed and put them under pressure from the first whistle. Agreed the team that played at Bradford would be a good choice, but will Maynard pick it or will he start faffing around with the Line up again? It's hard to tell what his thinking will be So For Pity's and our sake leave things alone and give the players the Freedom to play and the chance to get their dignity back and while you're at Maynard have a couple of our young un's on the Bench.
  18. It strikes me that when all of the Notts team are back defending at times they get in each others way, and of course certain players shouldn't be defending. I mean what chance as Aaron Nemane ( who's no bigger than a pile of pennies) got of out jumping an attacking striker who stands 6 foot plus? And Jodi isn't exactly on the bulky side then tries to take on an opponent built like a Brick Outhouse there's only going to be one winner in that sort of contest. And in all Honestly the only real defender up to League 2 standard is Lewis Macari . A defence unit comprising of young Macari Bajrami and three No Nonsense Centre backs in the Brian Killer Kilcline or Brian Stubbs mould ( If only we could clone these players) who refuse to be Intimidated by the opposition. And ( some thing I'm fed of writing) a Team Captain who is a Born Leader on the Pitch. A Captain who can make judgements instantly and get the Best Out of the Defence unit and a Goal Keeper who is commanding in the air and covers his area well, thus stopping this Sweeper Keeper Nonsense. The Case for the Defence Rests M'Lord.
  19. I agree with you Robbie, Maynard will still be here till the End of the Season then a decision will be made. I just hope it's Sooner rather than Later because the Brothers don't want to start dithering because if they do decide to appoint a New Man in the Dug Out, the New Coach will need a full Pre season to sort out any New Players and get his Squad playing the way he wants and hopefully he'll be allowed too do so without any interference A Director of Football but who? I'm all in Favour of Neil Warnock (as I've Stated Many Times) But would the Brothers hire him? Fact is Warnock is an Old Fashion type of Footballing Expert and his attitude may not be to the liking of the "Modern" Game, despite the Fact He Would Be The Perfect Role Model for Stuart Maynard.
  20. True Magpie your remarks regarding the Media are Spot On. After the Magpies fought down to the wire with Wrexham for the National League Title last season, everything was Greatly Hyped Up by the Media as if it was a forgone conclusion that Notts and Wrexham would automatically be promoted to League 1 next season and of course this was lapped up by the Fair Weather Fans Notts had picked up along the way, and when Notts went top of League 2 well their belief went through the Roof. However we older fans knew that Yes it would be Great if the Magpies were Promoted to League 1 but we were also realistic in our expectations Lets build a solid foundation in this League then push on for a go at Promotion next season, because I think a lot of us Regular Fans knew if Notts did get up to League1 this Squad is nowhere near good enough and money would have to be spent, to ensure the Squad was good enough to compete in the League above. Now the Club finds it's self having to spend money to compete at a decent level in League 2. Regarding Stuart Maynard he was on a loser as soon as he walked through the door at Meadow Lane. How was he going to compete with Luke Williams Record over the 18 months he had before his move to Swansea? If he didn't hit the ground running then the Fans (mainly the Fair weather crowd) would be on his back. In his first few matches he faced teams at the top and around the top of the League and Notts just couldn't compete, some of the fans started to realize that certain Players weren't good enough even playing under Williams because even Williams team failed to beat any top team they came up against. And once the Rot set in well Players started losing belief in their ability and the (so called ) Fans started expressing their toxic remarks on the Manager and certain Players on Social Media and has the team have started failing to win matches against teams they should beating then the Venom against Stuart Maynard as Risen, and slowly this Atmosphere as engulfed more of the Notts Fandom. Maynard has done himself No Favours with the constant tinkering of the side strange decisions he's made and poor interviews. I honestly think the poor Guy is out of his depth and should the Owners persist in keeping him at the Lane for next season I can see an awful lot of Fans walking away, and lets face facts at any other club 8 points out of a possible 36 he'd be gone, Even this close to the End of the Season.
  21. I remember when I was a young lad me and some pals went to this shall we say Dance Club. Anyway me and the guys were sat at the front when one the Dancers came on stage and she starts wiggling her behind at me in her hand she had a riding crop and she said Do you wanna whip it, while still wiggling her behind. I said You What? She said Do You Wanna Whip It? I said Well I wouldn't Mind. Now I've got this little Greyhound to look after.
  22. The thing is Ohh Tommy Johnson as stated the Recruitment team signed Macca before LW was appointed Head Coach and I'm not sure if he had any say in the signing of Cedwyn Scott. Plus during one of his interviews Williams seemed surprised to be asked about what say he as in choosing a player being signed by Notts, all he said was he did have a say but without much conviction. He gave the impression that his job was just to coach the players. Plus Stuart Maynard wouldn't have much to do with any signings Notts brought in the January Transfer Window. That was totally down to the Recruitment team and we all know what kind of a job they made of that. Another thing in Football nowadays the term Manager seems to have been dropped and Head Coach put in it's place, does that also mean that the duties of a Head Coach have also been reduced? Also think on this the signing of Alassana Jatta what say would have SM have in that signing? The Player would have been being looked at a while before SM had been hired and what happened? The Recruitment team showed Maynard a video of Jatta in action and said we're signing him for Notts what's Maynard going to say? No I don't know what he plays like or if he'll fit in with my game plan. Of course Not, the New Coach would say yeah Ok and get on with coaching the players. It seems to me that the Recruitment Team have a bigger say in the signing of players than the Head Coach. Finally there's an interview with Derek Pavis (somewhere on the Net) and he tells a story about Jimmy Sirrel coming into his office saying he wanted to buy a certain player for Notts (I've forgotten the players name) Derek was convinced that he'd never come to Notts but told Jimmy he could make an approach and Notts ended up getting the player. Which shows the Manager had confidence in his Scouting team and they worked together. That doesn't appear to be happening at Lane. Yes I know the Recruitment team signed Macca, but what would have happened if Macca had been a Dud?
  23. If Helen of Troy's face Launched a thousand ships. It must have been one hell of Mess once they'd finished.
  24. menzinho I'm not under the illusion that Macca would go for £3-5 million but that's what Notts should ask for him (in my opinion). And should Macca Jodi and Dan Crowley be Sold there should be some sort of inclusion in any Transfer deal, that should any of these players been Sold On for example Derby buy Macca for £1.5 million then they sell him on to another Championship (should they get promoted) or even Premiership Club for a larger amount, then Notts should also benefit from that Deal. Because should Macca start scoring 20+ goals a season in the Championship how Long would it be before Premier League Clubs come sniffing around, and Derby would be asking a high price for him, a hell of a lot more than £1.5 million and Notts deserve a piece of that Pie (Pun Intended). Recruitment should be part of a Managers/Head Coach's job as Robbie mentioned the Clough/Taylor partnership the Mercer/Allison Busby Ferguson and of course Notts own Legend Jimmy Sirrel. There must be players any Coach would like playing for him and yes the recruitment team did buy Macca before LW was appointed Head Coach, but were anymore teams looking at him? Because if they were you'd think they'd try and out bid the Notts £50,000 bid for a Goal scorer of his ability.
  25. My Son and me were just leaving our Local when we heard a squeal of brakes a car's horn and an exchange of swear words. What had happened a Drunk had staggered out of the Pub straight into the road, and had been missed being hit by a car by an hair's breath. No sooner had the Drunk got back on the pavement he only turns round and staggers back into the road again. Once again he's just misses being ran over. He stood there swearing and sticking two fingers up at the driver. Hey Pal my Son shouts There's a Zebra Crossing a short way up the road. Well I hope it'd having better Luck than me said the Drunk.
