  1. Lets Get The Defence and Goalkeeping Situation Sorted First.
  2. @Robbie I'm in full agreement with you regarding Williams and since he's gone back to Swansea he certainly, hasn't torn up any trees it will be interesting to see what happens to him, if the Swans only have or seem to be heading for another mediocre season next season. There maybe another problem for Maynard, that's interference from above from the likes of Richard Montague and any "Professional" annalists which may or may not be behind the scenes at Notts. Plus if he's been told to Stick to the playing "Model" (I've really Gotten to Hate that term) System no matter what, then that will hamper his Coaching Methods. And if the Recruitment isn't Spot on and Notts start losing matches, then Maynard is Left as the scapegoat and takes All the Flak from the Fans. After all friend Montague isn't going to put his hand up and Say Publicly "The Recruitment Team Got It Wrong" What I think would be Interesting is Getting One of the Anti- Stuart Maynard Notts Fans on this Platform and Discuss why they think Maynard shouldn't be in the Meadow Lane Dug Out. Hello Any One Out There? Ready to Debate?
  3. Nothing about Jim being offered a coaching position I'll Be Very Disappointed if a Huge Effort isn't made by the Club to keep Jim at Lane. Unless he's been offed a position and as Turned it Down. But there's Nothing about that either.
  4. @Fan of Big Tone and @Robbie That's very True there tends to be a more Balanced view on this site. However I've quoted these remarks above to express there are also Fans out there are Not Happy with Stuart Maynard and Fear the Return of Notts back to the National League and personally there one or two remarks I'm in agreement with. Moving Jodi into unfamiliar positions may have robbed both Macca the chance to score more goals and Notts of More Wins. Fans Deserve more. Absolutely the 1,200 Fans who made the trip to Forest Green spent their Hard Earned Cash travelling to Support the Magpies, end up being treated with such a Poor Display by Notts. Realistically even though he inherited Luke Williams side surely by now Maynard should know those players and what makes them tick? And how to get better performances out of them, because it would seem a lot of these players are still going to be at the Club at the Start of next season, and wasn't Maynard hired because he played the same sort of System to Williams? Hand on Heart I Don't think Maynard was ready to take the Leap into Full Time Management, but then again he wasn't going to Turn Down a Three and Half year contract with all it's Financial Benefits. Fickle Fans perhaps but there are a lot of regular Fans (season ticket holders) who've been going to Lane for many a year that I know who are highly Critical of Stuart Maynard. So the Club needs to be aware there are unhappy Loyal Fans out there. I also think if Notts had beaten FGR and by a good score then the Maynard criticism would have been less. You are after all only as Good as your Last Result.
  5. I remember one time a girlfriend and I were walking along the edge of a Farmers field, it was Harvest time so all the Hay had been stacked. I said to her Do you Fancy a Roll in the Hay? Yeah Ok she said. We dug our way into the Hay stack and things started to get passionate, she pushed me backwards when Suddenly I got an agonising pain in my left Buttock. I yelled in pain. What's the matter? she asked I told her my problem. Roll over and let me have a look she ordered. I did as she told me. Blimey how unlucky Can You Get? You've got a Big Needle Stuck In Your Bum Cheek.
  6. After Notts Extremely Poor Performance at FGR the Knives are out for Stuart Maynard. Here is a Selection of Social media comments on the Notts Boss. I wont be going to Meadow Lane if SM is still there. No Passion. No Improvement in Defence and getting worse in Attack. SM moved Jodi the top assister into several positions which in Turn Killed Macca's chances in scoring 30+ goals this Season. Failed to fix the Defence while Breaking the Attack. Fans deserve so much more. 1,200 fans show their loyalty and the players Don't even break into a sweat. FGR game. We had the makings of a League 1 team, but with Maynard in charge the NL Beckons. The Spirit built by LW as been Destroyed. That is just a small selection of the Fans feelings regarding Stuart Maynard are they fair or unfair? I have Produced this Piece in hope it Encourages Debate and we can all have our Say and Express our feelings as to the goings on at the Lane.
  7. True @Robbie so True the Premier League is a joke, but then again isn't every top Football League the same all over Europe? Scotland it's Rangers or Celtic. Spain Real Madrid or Barcelona Germany Bayern Munich ( Bayer Leverkusen won this year but expect Munich to be back next) It's the same in Italy Turkey etc With one or two teams and on the odd occasion more teams fighting it out for that Countries Major Trophies. And as you have said in the Past a European Super League will Emerge it's only way to make things different and less Predicable. But then again once the Top six leave the Premiership, the remaining teams with the big budgets will take over from Manchester City Liverpool Arsenal etc etc. Teams such as Newcastle and Tottenham. Somebody needs to Step in Grab Football by it's neck shake it and make it an even playing field for Every Club. Can't see it Happening Though.
  8. Then there was this Chap who had a little Jack Russell Dog. He took that Dog with him everywhere he went. He even took the Dog Hand Gliding with him, What he'd do was have a sling tied between his ankles and tie the Dog in the Sling and off they'd Go. And as they floated around in the Sky Bird Poo would be the least of a Car Owners Worries.
  9. @Robbie I did hear that at the Last Notts home match vs Colchester Brinds gave his Boots to a young Fan and was asked are you leaving Notts? His answer was Yes. He did play some decent games for the Magpies but I think he was a victim (perhaps the wrong word, but can't think of another) due to the Departure of Luke Williams Williams could lift Players make them Believe in themselves and give them Confidence to play above their Level. We all know Maynard's Man Management skills are no where near those of LW, so along with his Coaching Skills Maynard needs to Up his Man Management Skills as well. I don't think he's up to it and both he and Notts could suffer for it.
  10. Everything points to a Doncaster victory in the Playoff's but how many times have we seen Favourites Stumble and Fall at the Final Hurdle? Yes @Robbie a Budget can help a Team towards Promotion. But Leadership and Motivation from a Head Coach and a Captain/Leader on the Pitch can also go a long way to Bringing Success to to a Club. Sadly those last Two are Missing at Notts.
  11. @Robbie Keep a Look Out for a Certain Mr J Jones looking to buy a Brand New Trophy Cabinet.
  12. @ARLukomski Add Cameron and Stone to Sell or Terminate Contract.. Cameron is to slow any attacker with speed can out run him. Not Captain or Leadership Material. Could possibly do a job in the National League. Stone poor keeper doesn't command his Box good enough not good under pressure. Tiernan Brookes will be a better cover, for a Newly signed number one Goal Keeper. Luther I would give a chance because it seems like all Notts Youth players he's loaned out repeatedly over and over again, never been given a real chance to show his progression. Then again all this moving about may make him decide to move away from the Lane and try his Luck else where. No loan players over this season have warranted a second chance at the Club. Instead of getting in Loan players, give the Youth team members a chance to shine in 2024/2025.
  13. A neighbour of mine who's not the sharpest Knife in the draw and me were stood talking at his Garden gate, when a Lorry load of Turf went past. I wish I was rich enough to send my Grass away to be cut, he said. How about the Red Indian Chief who died after drinking 57 cups of PG Tips. They found him lying in his own Tea Pee My Family Tree only goes back 3 Generations my Grandad was a Lumber Jack.
  14. The trouble is @Fan of Big Tone that there are Magpie Fans that will dive on this and use it against Maynard and if Notts don't hit the Ground running next season then Pressure will start building on Maynard to Go. Many Fans have stated on this site the "Model" way Notts play is wrong for League 2 and Despite Maynard's tweaking the above table speaks for it's self. And next Season the Well it's not Maynard's team but Luke William's excuse will be gone. After this past season results plus the increase in season ticket and admission prices it will be interesting to see what kind of Drop in attendance or Not will happen down the Lane.
  15. Cheers thanks for the Tip @Fan of Big Tone
  16. So that should have increased his Value to around £3million as a Start. I read that's 70 goals in all matches he's played for Notts. Macca if you Go there's going to be a Massive hole in the Notts Attack Next Season. But whatever happens and where ever you End Up. You'll Always Be One Of Our Own. Legend.
  17. Robbie I said that Macca and Cedwyn should have started the Colchester game up front and see how that went. At the least Ceds should have had some game time today. Maynard is he a Glutton for Punishment? He must have known that that kind of Performance is Going To Rankle Fans, does he Enjoy getting Abuse from Fans on Social Media? You know it's going to be coming with Venom, what is up with the Bloke? After clawing back some sort of Dignity and Respect from Fans the Magpies turn in a Display like that. How many better players are going to attracted to the Club with a Dithering undecisive Head Coach in the Dug Out? Let's hope Notts can hold onto Jim O'Brien because if the Magpies don't get off to a Decent Start, next season Jim could find himself back in charge as interim Boss again.
  18. YES WELL DONE DERBY COUNTY Like to think my Dear Old Dad was looking down at the Lads who have taken the RAMS BACK TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP. Celebrate this Great Occasion super_ram Notts Fans celebrated last season Now it's your turn. If you drink have one for me!
  19. PATHETIC CAN'T EVEN BEAT THE TEAM AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LEAGUE. One Striker up front Again. Seriously Maynard brings the Fans Wrath Down upon his Own Head with his choices. From an Off Season where there could have been plenty of Hope for the Club at the beginning of 2024/2025 for the Next three months there's only going to be Negative response from the Fans and Fresh Calls for Stuart Maynard's head and how much Longer is the "Model" game plan going to be played, until it's realised it doesn't work in League 2? There's going to be Massive Questions asked in this coming off Season and if they're Not Answered there is going to be an Exodus of Fans from the Lane. At Least the RAMS WON and are Promoted back to The Championship. Happy For You Super Ram at Least you have something to Celebrate Good on Yer.
  20. There's a Couple of Brothers I know who have a Prize Bull and they hire out the Bull to service Cows all over the Country and they make thousands of Pounds at it. Anyway I met them in the Pub the other week looking a bit worried What's up Lads ? I asked. It's the Bull it's got a problem like blokes who have Brewers droop. So we've had to get the Vet in. £500 it's cost for these special pills. Well a few days later I was back in the Pub chatting to the Landlord. I asked him about the Brother's Bull. Did the Pills cure the Bulls Problem? Oh aye says the Landlord the Boys gave the Bull four tablets and that very afternoon it goes out and services 27 cows. 27 Cows I said I wonder what's in them pills? I don't know replied the Landlord But They Taste Of Peppermint.
  21. A Premier League Referee is being investigated by Nothing. Sorry a Premier League Referee is being investigated by the FA. What three words do you Not want to hear when you make Love? Darling I'm Home. All the Children in my Friends Family are named after Saints. He's David and his two brothers are named George and Andrew. And he has a Sister Pancake Day.
  22. Another Club Struggling because of Poor Ownership. Who Vets these People (Is it the EFL OR FA) who want to own a Club and Why aren't they doing their Jobs Properly?
  23. There You Go Piethagoram Jim is a Man of His Word (haha)
  24. If there was a vote on who would win the contest of the World's Best Religious Leader? I'd have a fiver on the Dalia Lama if I was a Tibetan Man. Then there was the Bloke who played the Piano on a Platform in a Railway Station. After he'd finished, I had a little Tinkle on it myself and saved 30p. I was once asked if I was a Considerate Lover? I replied Yes I always lift my feet up when the Wife's hoovering.
  25. After listening to Jodi's interview on the BBC 's Notts County Sport on line section. Is there still hope that the Malta International will still be at Meadow Lane Next Season? Listening to the conversation Jodi had with the BBC interviewer his words must bring hope to all Magpie Fans. I Love It Here. Notts gave me the chance when others wouldn't. Took me away from the Bad Place I was and I'll Always Respect That. That sounds like he wants to remain a Magpie for 2024/2025. If he does the first thing for Chris & Alex to do is offer the Lad an extended contract along side that of Macca, but that's something our Owners will know with out me telling them. To hold onto Jodi will certainly Bolster Notts chances of challenging for a playoff spot if not Automatic Promotion next season and will give Fans Hope and something to Cheer About.
