Fan of Big Tone

Those brave young soldiers some as young as 18 must have been terrified as those landing crafts reached the beach and the ramps went down. Some were mowed down immediately I can’t begin to imagine what it must have been like. We have a lot to thank them for and we should never forget what they did for us.

Yes it does seem to be the modern way in football to appoint a head coach rather than a manager. It seems with Notts for instance the owners pick a head coach that will coach the players to play in the way the owners would like football played, the recruitment team select targets they think will be best suited based on data and it’s the head coaches job to use those players how he sees fit. In some ways it takes a lot of work off the head coach so he can concentrate on coaching the squad instead of having to deal with player negotiations, buying and selling etc. like the old fashioned managers did.

I don’t agree about abolishing the play off system, the system as it is keeps the season alive for clubs in the mid table and generates a lot of excitement for fans. If you abolished the play offs the season would be dead towards the end of season to a lot of clubs who couldn’t get third spot, fans would lose interest attendances would suffer.

Until now I’ve never heard of snus but apparently it’s similar to snuff but it’s not snorted up the nose. When I was younger I used to take snuff up the nose to help me stop smoking, it was perfectly legal and available easily from tobacconists, the old chaps in the printers I worked for took snuff so I started taking it but it is very addictive like smoking, luckily I was able to kick both habits. I don’t know why Snus is illegal if it’s snuff based, it doesn’t make sense, I hope the players who use it can get help, an addiction to anything is not good.
