We are still in Lanzarote, we are all inclusive but for a change last night we went to a local Indian restaurant and had two lovely curries. Today we had a walk along the coast then spent most of the day by the pool, it’s been sunny and 22degrees, I did keep an eye on Notts score but least said about that the better. At the moment we are having a pre dinner G&T in the bar. Happy days.

Thanks everyone, yes we are having a lovely time, it’s just what we both needed especially Mrs. T after recent health scares. whoever coined the phrase Lanzagrotty should be strung up, grotty is the last thing you’d describe this place, there is no sign of dog poo or litter on the streets, the roads and pavements are really well maintained with no potholes and people are happy and smiley which is probably down to the non stop glorious weather. Yesterday it cooled a little but still around 20 degrees, nice enough to sit on the beach and go for a swim in the warm sea. I did some snorkelling while Mrs. T. sat reading in the shade, I was amazed at the fish swimming around peoples feet you wouldn’t be aware unless you had a face mask. Have you missed me? What, no? Why not? We had a good flight here on Monday although my ears blocked up and took a day or so to clear, does anyone else suffer like that on flights? Hopefully we kept the plane reasonably tidy for @Fozzy who was on his way home on the same plane. Spoiler alert! I am about to make you extremely jealous so don’t read on if you are of a sensitive nature. The weather is amazing wall to wall sunshine with temperatures hovering around 22-25 degrees during the day. We are in an all inclusive hotel with great food and drink on offer all day so I will return about two stone heavier. On checking the forum I see that my mate (adversary) @super_ram has overtaken me on the prediction league, that will never do, I shall have to sort that out asap, we can’t let him get too big for his boots. Yes there was a lot of slow and ponderous passing especially in the first half, Bostock doesn’t seem to be capable of making a forward pass it’s either sideways or more often than not backwards which is frustrating at times. As @KB1862 says the second half was better with more forward thinking.

Walking down the embankment to the match I was discussing the prospects of a win with my grandson we both agreed a draw would be an ok result against an very good Barrow side and as long as we didn’t lose we’d be happy. Grandson George predicted a 1-1 draw my prediction was a little off, I said 2-1, if Jodie’s Jones hadn’t got scythed down I could have been right. Overall 1-1 was fair, Stone made some excellent saves and Macca put one over which normally he’d score. Jones was my man of the match he was excellent, I thought Notts looked more solid at the back and Baldwin had a great game. On to Mansfield next week, they are having a bit of a wobble so who knows we could avenge the home game. COYP.

That Notts team doesn’t really roll off the tongue there’s only a few I remember, Martindale, Redmile, Arkins and Pollitt.

The minimum overnight temperature was 4.7 which isn’t too bad for January it could be a lot worse. It should be perfect weather for the match.

He needs to pick up points quickly because he hasn’t got that goodwill in the bank like he had with Notts supporters who were willing to forgive some poor performances, I fear the supporters at Swansea will turn on him unless he starts picking up results, they won’t be patient. I really hope he has time to get the crowd on his side.

It seemed to be the done thing to take your hat off and wave it and what an assortment of different hats, a lot of bowlers, flat caps, trilbys and some straw boaters. Great stuff.
