I couldn’t wait to get out of the workplace, I worked in an office environment in the latter years of my working life. Mondays and every workday meant an early morning slog up the motorway to get there for 7.00am. I don’t miss those days at all and when they decided to move everyone to Sheffield meaning an even longer drive I took voluntary redundancy to work with my wife in her business. Now we’re both retired and we’re lucky enough to enjoy lots of holidays and as long as we remain healthy we are determined to carry on living life to the max.

Well first of all let’s see if it’s true, if it is the £700,000 is very disappointing and I agree that the club have probably deliberately delayed to get the season ticket sales in the bag. However let’s not jump the gun, I await official confirmation.

Without a word of a lie I was literally falling asleep during the first off I mean actually nodding off and waking up with a start, I desperately wanted to stay awake but couldn’t. During half time I got up off my chair and had a walk round and did a bit of meal preparation and by the time the second half started I was more awake and the second half was lots better at least I kept awake and for the penalties I was on the edge of my seat! Well we’re through that’s the main thing and I’m grateful for that but I just wish they weren’t so pedestrian, please inject a bit of pace to the attacks so I can stay awake for the whole match. Tired Tony.

I guess he’s at a stage where he needs regular first team football and Notts can’t guarantee that at the moment and like someone said we can’t keep sending him out on loan he needs a settled permanent club where he can develop his potential, it’s disappointing for us fans but best for his career. I decided not to do the Park Run this morning, I’m still shattered after only getting about three hours sleep on election night so I’ll have a restful day today. It’s a shame though because I would have liked to show off my new running shirt which signifies I’ve done 100 park runs, not my age.

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well, it’s the weekend again, so what are you all up to this weekend? Today I’ll be resting after staying up half the night to watch the election results. I must say I’m happy with the result but let’s not make this a political topic. Tomorrow I’m hoping to do a park run but I’ll see how I feel later on, plus I’ll obviously I’ll be watching the England match. Sunday we’ll be visiting our son and family for a meal, he has a new outdoor cooking station so hopefully the weather will hold. As an OAP if I pay the membership of £20 I’ll get in for £16 for an advance ticket bought online same as last year I’m happy with that, I only need attend 10 games to get my money back.
