  2. Great stuff, I hope it’s a successful trip @Piethagoram and you see a good win. It’s going to be a hot one so I’ll be relaxing today after yesterdays exertions, slap the suncream on and into the garden I think.
  3. Back on form @Piethagoram have a good trip give ‘em a cheer from us.
  4. It’s a new one on me too, although Duck and orange, along with duck and cherries go well together so why not rhubarb? I’ve never been keen on turnip either, I used to love peas as a kid, my mam used to buy them in the pods and I used to help her shell them. Nowadays I can eat most vegetables, I love Brussels sprouts, carrots, sweet potato, cauliflower etc., I’m not keen on turnip or swede although they’re not bad in soup, Mrs. T makes lovely soups my favourite is red pepper and tomato, very easy to make and a cheap meal too.
  5. If their nickname is The Zebras I assume they play in black and white stripes, it’ll be interesting to see what shirt Notts wear, I don’t think they’ve released the new away shirt yet have they? It’ll be a great experience for the players and the fans lucky enough to attend, I hope it’s a good game.
  6. I remember that stand very well, it was literally a stand, i.e. no seats, when the team weren’t playing well a slow handclap would start and people stamping their feet in time, it would echo in the stand and be quite impressive.
  7. We had a lovely walk around the nature reserve followed by a spot of lunch at a tea rooms, a rare treat for us, it was a long walk though and I’m feeling it now.
  8. He’s definitely slipping, I think we’ve got him on the ropes.

  12. Good morning it’s a sunny Wednesday and the temperature is on the up, time to Don those shorts and T-shirt and enjoy the sun if you can. We are going to Attenborough nature reserve for a day out and a nice riverside walk, we’ll probably have lunch out for a treat too. Whats everyone else doing?
  13. I can understand the fans being disappointed, they’ve grown to love the players who got them promoted and now the squad is being ripped apart with a whole lot of new players coming in. If the new players perform well it will soon all be forgotten but if they don’t the fans will be asking questions and rightly so.
  14. I don’t do predictions but I’d be very happy with promotion obviously, it’s a long season though and lots could happen between now and next May, we just have to hope the top players can remain injury free, the manager stays for a full season and the squad is strengthened in January if needed.
  15. Nice to see Jatta scoring, let’s hope he carries on where Langstaff left off and bags loads of goals.
  16. I’d like to see an English Manager Eddie Howe or Shaun Dyche. As long as they don’t come for Stuart Maynard. I’m fed up with folks poaching our managers.
  17. When someone else, other than the head coach, is responsible for recruiting and signing players the head coach shouldn’t take all the blame if those players don’t perform. I know it’s the coaches job to motivate players and train them to play a certain way but if the players recruited aren’t up to the task or don’t have enough skill then he’s on a hiding to nothing. There’s a saying “you can’t polish a turd”, let’s hope both the people responsible for recruitment and the head coach can get it right this coming season.
  18. Are you sure that’s long enough @super_ram? Or would you like to suggest DeadlyMaccasgoalsrememberedbuthesnothereanymoresadly ????
  19. Yep, sticky finger popped one tile in the wrong place which didn’t help.

  23. Good morning it’s a wet Tuesday morning, I think I rained most of the night last night, blooming weather. I have got much on today, I’ll hopefully get a walk if it dries up and I’ll keep an eye on Notts progress against Wealdstone tonight. Anyone doing anything exciting today?
