  1. I can’t say that I know anything about this player but if he has been identified as a good signing by the clubs recruitment system then that’ll do for me, after all they haven’t got much wrong have they?
  2. They’ve certainly been letting their hair down since the final but they deserve to celebrate after a record breaking season, the worry is they do something silly while under the influence, Ruben in particular seems to have had far too much in the video I have seen.
  3. It’s great to hear Luke feels bonded to the city, hopefully this means he’ll stick around in the city, mind you it doesn’t stop him replacing Steve Cooper. ???? Oh I wish I hadn’t thought of that now.
  4. I think they’ve realised they’ve made a big mistake and are doing their best to rectify it but not losing face.
  5. I love the way he always praises the team, the back room staff, the owners, the fans etc., he is very humble and is keen to show it’s not all about him.
  6. I have now, good article @Chris
  7. Yes definitely mate, I’m going to win it. ????
  8. Has left Chesterfield and joined Scunthorpe, agent Ross did well. ????
  9. Tune into this evening's BBC East Midlands Today to hear the boss' reflections on Wembley - and the celebrations that followed! ????
  10. @KB1862 I love the notes your kids wrote, don’t worry if they don’t show much attention at games, I took my grandson to Notts matches aged 4 and he used to sit and read his books during the match, now he’s 14 nearly 6 foot and really gets involved, clapping, cheering and singing along with the best of them.
  11. I went to the semi final at Meadow Lane with my family, that game was so nerve racking but thoroughly enjoyable. I really wanted to go to Wembley but my son and family were away on holiday so I had no one to go with (Billy no mates) which is a shame because being realistic it’s possibly the last time I’ll get the chance at my age. However I watched on the telly with Mrs. Fan of Big Tone, what a match it was and it was fantastic to see our fans celebrating at the end I was so jealous. The result brought me to tears I was so emotional to see us return to the league. What a master stroke by Luke Williams to bring on young Archie Mair, those penalty saves were tremendous. I can’t wait until next season.
  12. I watched Luton v Sunderland tonight and in the prelude to the match they showed a graph showing Luton’s progress from the conference league (now national league) in 2012/13 to the brink of the Premiership now. Could we emulate that feat? I don’t see why not with the current set up of owners and management. Or am I getting ahead of myself? Thoughts.
  13. I tend to agree with @super_ram it’s just paper talk (he said with crossed fingers and toes). ????????
  14. Am I the only one who had never heard the term Penanka? I kept seeing it mentioned in reports and I had to google the term, it was a new one on me.
  15. No the campervan was sold just before the pandemic, we timed it just right. Steve Bloomer???? ???? You cheeky bugger, he’s more your age group. ????
  16. Thanks for all the warm welcomes back or should that be welcome backs? Anyway it’s much appreciated.
  17. This is what I’ve missed. ???? Thank you, good to be back. Crikey home owner and driving, I remember you saying to wanted to learn to drive, well done @liampie
  18. I’ve not been on here for a while but after @Chris and @liampie reached out I thought long and hard and here I am. I’m sorry to Chris and Liam that I didn’t respond positively, I’ve not been in a particularly good place of late. With the new season approaching and back in the league I’m looking forward to chatting football with you all and renewing my banter with my old sparring partner @super_ram, how are you my old mate?
  19. I’ve not posted on here for a few years but having just read the terrible news elsewhere I just wanted to add my sincere condolences to @super_ram and @Chris for your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Granny pie along with Super Ram and chris with his lovely family, Granny was a lovely lady and the love of her family shone through. Rest in peace Granny Pie.
  20. I came out of the event I’d been to and on the way home I switched the radio on just in time to hear the third goal go in so I switched straight back off again. Let’s face it we didn’t really expect to win did we? But if I’m honest some teams of the past would have made a better fist of it, last seasons team would certainly have done better. However it is what it is and it looks like we are going to have a serious battle to avoid relegation I hope Kewell and the players are up for the fight because right now it’s not looking good.
  21. It’s be typical of Notts to go and nick this it depends on the players attitudes, if Barnsley make changes and their players turn up thinking it’s an easy game then if Notts players turn up detetermined to fight for every ball and everything clicks into place we could cause an upset. There are a lot of ifs there but who knows?
  22. I wish people would stop blaming older people for voting for Brexit, here’s one older person who certainly didn’t and I’ve got lots of friends in my age group who are appalled at the idea of Brexit. Personally the fact that the odious creature Nigel Farage wants us out is reason enough for me to vote remain without all the other arguments.
  23. I watched the channel 4 programme last night and it seems from the survey that the British people have changed their minds and if the referendum was rerun we would be staying in the European Union, it seems that the majority have now come to their senses and seen what a catastrophe it would be for Britain. Bring on the Peoples Vote.
  24. Yep another must win, we need to scrap and play ugly if necessary just get a win.
  25. Why can’t we hold on to a lead with 3 minutes to go? Answers on a postcard.
