  1. This is a good performance, come on Notts.
  2. It’s odds on that Dennis and Hemings were going to start Friday but now Stead has given Nolan something to think about.
  3. Get in! 1-0 Tom Crawford
  4. This is a chance to give other players a game to see what they can do, anyone remember the cup run we had when Steve Thompson was manager? He fielded a completely different team for the cup and we went on a great run, let’s hope we can do the same. If we lose, which we probably will, I won’t be reading twitter or Facebook, it’ll just depress me.
  5. @Fozzy I think it is ok to talk politics as long as the debate is calm and reasoned and people respect others points of view whilst debating, which on this forum is usually the case. I don’t think PoN should be purely about Notts County or indeed football in general that’s why there is a section called “Broken Wheelbarrow” a place to chat about other things in life’s rich tapestry. If I see a topic which doesn’t interest me I just scroll on.
  6. Absolutely spot on @Elite_pie well said, how can the man in the street possibly hope to know enough about all the complicated issues involved in being a member of the EU it’s ludicrous, we elect governments to govern not pass the buck to Joe Public.
  7. The whole thing is a complete mess, who knows what will happen next? None of this is any good for the common bloke on the street, whilst all the politicians will be in clover what ever happens.
  8. Is it too late for Kev himself to dust off his boots? What better experienced midfielder?
  9. Not sure it’s official that he’s leaving, has it been in the official website yet, if not I hope it’s just paper talk. If he is then I wish him well except when playing against us of course, he has to put himself and his family first.
  10. Hope you stick around @The Heff I find this place much friendlier than Notts County Facebook groups.
  11. The signings have certainly lifted the gloom and doom after the play off’s disappointment well done to everyone at Meadow Lane for their hard work and ambition. I really hope we can go one better this coming season and secure automatic promotion, if anyone deserves it Hardy and his team do.
  12. That’s good news, let’s get O’Connor onboard now.
  13. I can imagine how proud he was to see that stadium full to the brim for the Coventry game, what a fantastic achievement it's been for him. Let's hope we have more of the same next season. I'm looking forward to it already.
  14. To be honest I think a lot of Notts fans thought we were already there, I saw people talking about plans for Wembley, you should never count your chickens in this game as I have found out in the past.
  15. Excellent article @Joe Jones just about sums up my thoughts but put a lot better than I could.
  16. I’m starting to get nervous, can’t wait for the game to start. Whatever happens it’s been a great season thanks to AH and KN.
  17. Alan Hardy deserves a huge amount of credit for the turnaround since he took over, I can never understand the fans that criticise him at every opportunity on twitter.
  18. It’s a massive plus to have O’Connor back and fit, it’s like a new signing for us. Looks like we’ll have a fully fit squad going into the playoffs.
  19. I agree @Chriswe need to go into the play offs full of confidence and a win against Luton would help achieve that, so for that reason I would field as strong a team as possible without risking any players who aren’t 100% fit. It’ll be interesting to see how KN approaches the game.
  20. Brilliant, thanks for that @Joe Jones it certainly brings back some memories.
  21. I’ve got to say I was disappointed, nay gutted, I was hoping it would go down to the last match and we creep into the automatics but isn’t it great to have an exciting end to the season for a change? Whatever happens it’s been a great season.
  22. No Tootle again today, he's still unwell, Grant is back on the bench, I hope we can do the business and get three points.
  23. I can understand where Shola is coming from, it takes a special person to take on football management, I would think you need the hide of a rhinoceros with some of the abuse you might get from armchair managers. The rewards may be big if you make it a success but I imagine it can be very stressful and unhealthy if you can’t take the pressure. It’s definitely not a 9-5 job and you’d have to make sacrifices, Shola may think his wife and family are more important.
