The attendances since the brothers came in have been truly amazing, I do think we have been helped in that regard by our near neighbours being in the Premiership, lots of folk can’t get tickets so come to Notts. I’ve also been pleased to notice that there are lots more youngsters/children coming to the matches and they seemed to be enjoying the games. As I walked away from Meadow Lane yesterday I overheard a lady with three young boys. “Did you enjoy that boys?” The answer from the boys in unison was “Yeah it was great”. We do need to keep these young fans they are the future, I hope we keep Meadow Lane a welcoming place for that lady to bring her boys.

I had a nice day yesterday I went to the football with grandson George it’s lovely chatting with him about football he’s very knowledgeable about foreign teams and their players and tells me lots of facts and figures about world football. We enjoyed the game. It was a lovely bonding session with him, something I never had with my grandparents so it’s special for me and I hope it is for him too. Maybe one day he’ll be taking his grandchildren to the match and telling them about his old grandad. Of course Notts County will be champions of Europe by then. A day of rest I think today. How’s everyone else’s weekend going?

I’m pleased we finished with a win at home, we were never in any danger of losing this match and with a bit better finishing we’d have won by more goals. I really hope we can keep our best players for next season but we’ll see.

Good morning PoN it’s a cloudy start here but fairly mild at 10 degrees. So what have we all got planned for this weekend? We are “boy sitting” tonight while son and DiL have a night out. Hopefully the boys will enjoy Granny’s home made Chicken Biryani, George probably will but Fred is a bit more fastidious. Tomorrow it’s Park Run in the morning and the last home March in the afternoon, hopefully I can persuade George to accompany me. Sunday a day of rest, unless something crops up. Indeed PATIENCE is the key word here, unfortunately football fans are notorious for being lacking in that regard and Notts fans are no different. Rome wasn’t built in a day, I think if we hadn’t had such a good start fans would have been happy with mid table. Thankfully I think the owners do have patience and they realise that slow and steady progress is what is needed.
