Very interesting insight into Bromley, they’ve done amazingly well to get into the league, Michael Cheek will be a threat, if we can nullify him I think we could come away with a win but I’d be happy with a draw. My wife and I do voluntary work for people who are bereaved by suicide and at our support meetings a lot of people say they had no idea their wife/husband/son/daughter/mum/dad etc., were going to take their own life, there are often no signs whatsoever. Sadly there are also those who say their loved ones have been let down by mental health services and make several attempts before they finally succeed.

That’s exactly what the video portrays, a person can be the life and soul of the party and the last person you’d think would take their own life but very often it’s a mask to hide the real way they feel.

@Piethagoram thanks for posting that it’s very powerful. We’ve lit a candle for our son Steve tonight who took his own life in 2012 a day that changed our lives forever.

@Blake your grandad is right “Devo” was his nickname and when he scored his name would ring around the ground “DEVO, DEVO, DEVO”, he was a very tenacious, gritty player who would get stuck in. It was a sad day when he was sold by the then chairman Derek Pavis to Birmingham along with another fans favourite Andy Legg.

Despite having three players missing I thought Notts played superbly, McGoldrick had another masterclass performance and showed why he’s played at the very top. The young lad George Abbot from Tottenham had a really good game and showed maturity above his years it was hard to believe he’s only 19. A great all round performance from the team.

Maynard is confident and rightly so but he also understands the need to not slip into complacency, as long as he installs that into the team we should be ok. I think we’ve got a really strong squad now with competition in all areas, which is really good and hopefully means we’ll have a successful season.

Bass has made a good start to his career at Notts I hope he continues the good form, it must be good to have a solid defence in front of him too. i can also imagine how having moved around a lot is unsettling, at least now he can settle at Notts and show us his best form.
