  1. i think they was one of the better visitors to meadow lane so i do think this will be easy. just need to approach the game in the right way, build from the back and go forward. would also like to see stead upfront, i do not think ameobi is good enough alone and forte just seems a statue these days.
  2. thats good to see. people forget that the trews did invest in some players at a point, when they stopped you could probs argue that was when things was falling around behind the scenes and dummies was thrown out the pram. hardy and nolan need the right players, if on free or signed for a fee.
  3. i dont go to away games, only chesterfield to date and that was a few years back. only under fullarton did things become silly at times but these days at home i barely notice anything. away days, i cant say but people should just enjoy themselves with causing trouble.
  4. i think we should go for it on sunday, barnet dont worry me. if we play right i could see us winning 3-1 but we need stead and two strikers, create the chances and the goals will come. so i hope we see a second half performance for 90 minutes v barnet and that we can replicate how we controlled hartlepool.
  5. hes welcome but please can he cut the nonsense out on twitter? he does not have to work hard or misguide fans to bring us hope. that will come off the pitch.
  6. i hope jon can stay, he still has enough for this division but we should find a young striker who has potential to learn from him. i dont see why we do not back montel gibson more. i read a quote on facebook on a notts page about paul scholes not being considered good enough as a youngster.
  7. nolan needs to be wary of bringing the game into despite, we need him on the sidelines. not that i dont agree, i just think getting a touchline ban would be negative.
  8. not happy about the decision to disallow a perfectly good goal but not worried. we lost a game where notts played very well, so that gives me hope.
  9. im glad hes enjoying it, it takes a lot of hard work and despite one mistake imo. i think fans will come round. as i said in the forum i am going to purchase a ticket, mostly because i trust ah and i think he will spend it wisely. i hope more fans calm down and jump on board.
  10. before a few years ago this would not bother me as much, though i think its just plain stupid to suggest especially when you do not come from nottingham. nice read jj.
  11. i wonder what the confidence of fans in general will be? pre stevenage i think like most i would assume notts would win. it will probably be a boring draw with very limited chances for both teams. tho we seem to be playing better at home, i just hope we dont get sucker punched and end up losing two in a row. it would spark more negativity.
  12. they arrived saying they had big plans for the stadium and bring in revenue, whilst ray said we was a championship club and a sleeping giant. he only started promising the world after he almost got us relegated the first time by hiring craig short and seeing the championship winning squad dismantled. after that it was cliche after cliche with what he came out with even when he decided to blame the fans or say he would not put any more money into the club. alan hardy seems wiser than that. i am sure he knows you need to be positive and ensure fans without alienating supporters.
  13. its going to be a coin toss for who will win, knowing our look the recent form will stop here but i do think we should be able to get something. i see a draw tbh, 1-1 or 2-2 something like that. tho im not sure why people are treating stevenage as if they are man utd because they won their last x games. we have not done that bad recently so why worry?
  14. agree it was an off day, dont know why some are making a big thing of it. its not like we lost 3 points, you cant do that unless you was winning at some stage.
  15. i still think we should see more from him, hes young and learning but he struggles at times.
  16. settle for a drawn a lot of brave defending, if we can grab a goal go for it but i dont think we will try to out perform them.
  17. i dont get it, they should be happy. notts fans should be happy.
  18. anyone noticed some fans suggesting on fb that duffy has picked up his performances due to knowing he would be suspended? its funny what some people come out with. it will be interesting to see if dickinson comes back in or how nolan hands the problem, as duffy has done well recently. i think it will be close, not expecting a lot of goals but i think it will be entertaining. a draw to me sounds about right.
  19. no reason why he could not achieve this and it would be useful towards our safety.
  20. hes brilliant, i think he just approaches things well. as a manager he speaks his mind and the honesty is refreshing, as is the sense of humour. without him or alan we would still be all gloomy so credit is deserved all round.
  21. as joe says people just moan and want things, tho reading alans tweets it would seem a change of heart from him and this response shows the business side of him (instead of the laddy outspoken twitter user).
  22. pleased with how things are going, each signing seems to bring something different and unique to the team.
  23. brilliant read @Joe Jones. theres a lot in the clubs favour, i dont think the previous stewardship could have turned things around and credit to hardy for appointing nolan who is a breath of fresh air around the club. its very different around the club at the moment. long may it continue.
  24. will be interesting to see how much of a difference it will make for leyton orient not to have their normal captain. i doubt it will be our biggest blessing, tho i think there could be a high chance that there will be cards galore today and i just hope we can adapt to the scrap that is likely to happen. i think it will be 0-0.
