  1. i cant say i read all the article but i get the jist and it does seem like there needs to be big improvements.
  2. i was not aware of this, but my eye sight is good.
  3. you cant find stability changing managers so frequently and signing 22 players almost every season, we know this.
  4. ruud van nistelrooy? that would be a comical error if they appointed him. i cant see it being a better appointment. they should go for someone more used to managing a team in the premier league. i am surprised that graham potter has not been heavily connected but he would be a better option than van nistelrooy.
  5. i got off work at 5pm on the dot today, it has been much nicer out. works in full swing now, so no quiet days and this wont change until late feb at the very least. i want to find time to go christmas shopping, but i have purchased tickets for the peterborough cup game.
  6. welcome to the pride of nottingham @Jatta1999.
  7. one thing is when we dont have him, we do tend to miss his presence which highlights the importance he plays within the squad. i think we perform better as a team when hes involved too.
  8. was it findus who were using horse meat for their microwavable lasagnes almost 10 years ago? that would be grim for some younger people to look back on. my mum has always made food from ingredients because she does not like instant food. even fish fingers tended to be home made, but at times birds eye might be something i would see from time to time. its why i have a fondness for cooking at home, although i am no chef. i do like to make some of her more basic recipes. my childhood favourite was warm oats for breakfast and meat dinners.
  9. yes, it looks like a very positive place to be from reading. i am not the biggest twitter user but i am considering joining blue sky, if it is how it seems then i might post about notts. i dont on twitter because idiots tend to take what i tweet out of context looks for a quick reaction. i hope those types stick with twitter because it suites them. i do wish that some of the fans making the leap from twitter to blue sky realise that if they did similar with pon and just invested some of their time to joining the conversations here it would have a similar impact to how blue sky has picked up on the notts front.
  10. i really can take to a player like jatta because he is very relatable. its good to see him earning an international cap whilst with us and how he speaks, you can tell notts means a lot to him. we have to nurture players like him.
  11. i dont think we can play him all the time, he tires and breaks down naturally. last season from the point we struggled to the end of the season showed that. hes much better being rested and started, saved for the big games and allowed to pick up minutes based on how hes performing. this season i think hes been class and part of that is because we have not relied on him so much.
  12. @Robbie they do seem to be making the right progress and with the recent fans forum with the talk of bringing all the teams closer, it sounds like something that will only benefit the womens and junior teams.
  13. there was possibly interest in him but i dont think rumours tend to be all that true. not like we were going to offer him a deal, but was tracking or opening early stages to see if he had interest in us but nothing concrete.
  14. it might seem controversial but i think erling haaland is one of citys biggest problems. they have to do everything through him, nobody else seems to want to shoot. its like their instructed to get into a good position and then look for haaland. either they start playing as a team again, or they look to get rid of him because despite him being a good goalscorer he is not the sole answer to winning games.
  15. is the go fund me donation actually going to help them? i think its great when people and teams come together, if afc wimbledon can get a whole new pitch from a small area being damaged its good to know a clubs actual future is secure but it does make me wonder how long it would last before its repeated.
  16. two players with braces, i was hoping one would get their hattrick. not a bad result for the team. very pleased for them and hope they enjoy the cup success.
  17. hello, @Peter Speers, welcome to the pride of nottingham.
  18. i have noticed that a fair amount of fans have mentioned joining blue sky, i think it does make sense to go with the flow and establish differences within the pages. the discord server sounds like a good way to keep us members updated.
  19. we have to do what we can now, to make a difference in the future. it really annoys me to see people giving labour such a difficult time so early in to them taking over, they need to take action because of how poorly the tories ran the country. voters might be divided, but we need to stand united in change. sometimes you have to give a little bit of slack to see if things will improve, i am inclined to think things will.
  20. dont worry, @Fan of Big Tone we know now. i have voted for george abbott because i thought he played well in both halfs and gave a very solid performance. he tried to keep us on the front foot and looked very good on the ball.
  21. newport came to draw, they had no intention of trying to win. that is disappointing, but there was times when the officials made poor decisions which benefitted them. i dont think they did it on purpose, i just feel they were incompetent. i just wished notts would not insist on walking the ball into the net. i dont mind seeing matt palmer drive an effort over the crossbar because its something different. the issue is we try to force the opening and we need to gamble a little more at times. i also would have kept jevani brown on, sam austin did well in spells but we could have afforded him to be subbed sooner than he did. i also think bringing on kellan gordon did not work, he was quite poor.
  22. i came third and did not receive a notification. https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/pastleaders/ did you @Fan of Big Tone or @Robbie as 1st and 2nd?
  23. i am currently on my dinner break, i thought i would check in and see what is happening on pon. there is not much i can really add, it really is like a repeat of yesterday. its pretty cold out, but thankfully i dont have to leave my nice warm workplace. i will be making sure i wrap up come saturday.
  24. welcome to the pride of nottingham @Jon Lowe,
