  2. i would hope the players can forget about how important the game is in terms of rivalry and just play to get the win. its great to have matt palmer back and we had missed his absence last season, but i think now hes back its exciting to see him lead the team as the captain. i hope he can inspire the lads to remain calm as he tends to be, as nothing ever seems to effect palmer, hes a good player for us.
  3. hello, @Richard Eley. welcome to pon. i hope you will join in with the site and community when you can. why not tell us a little bit about yourself?
  4. hello, welcome to pon @DistantBard24. we would love to know a little about yourself.
  5. welcome to pon, @Colcard. its nice to be welcoming you to our community.
  6. @Wheelbarrow repair man if you need any help, please feel free to pm me. i dont want you think i am patronising you, but i am aware things do take time and it can be very confusing when things change. i would suggest trying to place your topics in the correct forum, then they would not be moved. if you need any help, i am more than happy to try and it would not be problem for me to assist you. i would be happy to try if you need my help or assistance.
  7. we really need to see how we start and what chesterfield look like, it might end up a goalless draw and that would not surprise me. i would feel a lot more encouraged if we had jodi jones up for selection, but i do think provided the players work hard together that the likes of kellan gordon and nick tsaroulla could be a handful. i just wished we played into space a bit more, its good to use the wider areas but the middle opens up the play and we just seem to do one or the other. i would like to see us attack chestefield with real intent.
  8. it would be good to see some of them named, but it could be a wait before we see them come on. i think chesterfield might be the wrong game for some of the youngsters but this is off topic. i do think it would be nice to see one or two named. what can i say? my vote my be persuaded differently if i could see the votes first.
  9. i have voted, but i think i have made it worse. its a four horse race now, with 4 votes being split between 4 players.
  10. pleased that dan crowley got voted as the man of the match for pon against port vale.
  11. work is still strangely slower than normal. its weird to see the slack and people having more time to do other things which normally they would not have the time for. next week i have three days of elearning again. i dont really like being stuck on a computer to learn, i prefer to get hands on with things. after work tonight, i am going to see @CliftonMagpie. did specsavers give any of your payment back? @Fan of Big Tone. i hope its been worthwhile in the long term for you. it sounds awful to wait a year tho. i can just see you in front of a blue screen, being the pon weatherman! among many other roles you assist with.
  12. i am looking forward to seeing what the future holds for pon, the community always welcomes people back and the main thing is just to enjoy the site. i think the way things are the only way is up.
  13. i think jatta will score a good amount of goals, but i would be careful of hyping him because some of these people who say he will get 20 goals or that he is the best goal scorer we have will soon turn on him. i know every fan base has these but we have too many imo.
  14. brilliant pictures, @Chris. i did see you walking up the upper kop steps and then take a seat, before taking some pictures. its really good to see the faces of pon, so many wonderful photos.
  15. i think stuart maynard needs to try to avoid being one of those managers that complains when results does not go his way, we lacked the clinicalness up front and even if their goal was offside. he had the time to change it, but throwing robbie cundy up top as a striker shows how we do need a striker but then we allow junior morias to go out and fail to give jevani brown a try up top. i thought we did play well in spells going forward, but their goal reminded me so much of last season. alex bass could not have done anything about it.
  16. its rare i find myself agreeing with who the sponsors choose, but i do think dan crowley deserves it. i do think he stood out the most, even if i wished he had of tried to shoot at times.
  17. i thought notts were the better team, but it was a repeat of gillingham where we just did not create a good enough chance to get back into it this time round. we had something more about us against gillingham, but there was not enough quality on goal. its not the end of the world, we can regroup but the results at meadow lane need to improve and notts must play teams like port vale/gillingham in a way where we can get more efforts on goal.
  18. its another test but we need to put the disappointment of gillingham and use the returning players to maximise our chances of getting back to winning ways at meadow lane. i hope we can control the game and make port vale have to work for everything.
  19. 82 hughes way. a fairly large property, with a unconventional roof. the home has earthquake protection, with the landslides in the area being a problem.
  20. @Fan of Big Tone do you have any apps that can reduce the resolution of the image? i wonder if its due to your other group setting @Chris?
  21. hello, welcome to the pon site and community @daverobinson222.
  22. kellan gordon should do great to cover jodi jones, yes we will miss jodi but we can allow him to focus on his recovery and when he does return i do think he will be like a new signing. i know that tends to be a cliche, but this is jodi jones we are talking about. hes going to come back determined and hopefully pick up scoring and assisting where he left, but i think keeping the players fit, rotating when possible will be a beneficial thing for notts.
  23. very interesting comments, i have not watched a darren moore interview but have seen clips of him talking and he does seem to really but his heart into what he says. yet to see him managing in league two seems a bit strange, when he has done well much higher up. port vale seem to be a good side, so it will come down to who wants it the most tomorrow.
  24. i like kellan gordon, i think he can cover whilst jodi jones is out and he could become a player that is a vital part of what makes stuart maynards side work as a first team member. he does work hard and i like the ability he has to do different types of crosses, its not just hit in or try to curve it, sometimes he puts in crosses which are consistently begging to be taken. i find what he says to be very humble, i am glad hes back amongst his family.
  25. well deserved, i hope alex bass sees that he has been voted as the pon man of the match. he looked solid against carlisle and really deserves this. Pride of Nottingham - Notts County Community WWW.FACEBOOK.COM Alex Bass has been named the Pride of Nottingham Man of the Match, as voted by the fans, from yesterday's 2-0 win over Carlisle United at Brunton Park. #Notts #COPY #AlexBass
